readers note: I know it won't seem like a romance straight away but you have to get further into the storys which i will keep posting Also I don't know that many spells so I changed words that mean what I want to say.

The two girls walked in to the room to find every already seated, Hermionie went scarlet red and immediately started apologising while Harry and Ron were in hysterics. While Hermionie glared daggers at the at the two of them, Snape looked at Charlotte.

"I see, miss Granger, that you were looking after this girl and therefore will not punish you," Snape said

The girls seated them selves next to each other, however Hermionie was also seated next to Ron and had to put up with his mockery throughout the lesson. Snape started explaining what it was that the class were going to make today, it was a potion of remembering. Everyone thought that this would be very useful until Snape told them it depended on how well they made the potion, if it would be any use to anyone. Charlotte payed close attention to how she could make it perfect, what other ingredients she would have to use, how to accurately cut things and what the perfect timing was. Everyone returned to their desks and got out a brewing stand, naturally Hermionie had remembered a lot of what Snape had said and created a potion that made you remember as far back as a month. However what she wasn't aware of was just how much Charlotte could remember and her potion look a lot more mysterious and wonderful. Her creation had caught many people's attention and soon Snape came over to her desk to see what all the fuss was about. He got a small glass jar and filled it with her potion, he smelt it, looked at it and put a drop on his finger to taste. Shocked by the memories that came flooding back he immediately ran to the sink and rinsed his mouth out with water.

"oh dear.... is it that bad professor?" asked Charlotte.

"No."He answered,"in fact that is the strongest remembering potion I have ever used, one drop simply reminded me of things years ago that i wish to be forgotten."

"I'm sorry,"She began.

"No, you have nothing to be sorry of,"Snape said,"10 points to Gryffindor!"

cheering of students from the same house echoed the classroom and Hermionie spotted Snape smirking. She was about to tell Harry of this miracle when professor McGonogall walked in.

"Professor Snape?" inquired McGonogall,"May I take Charlotte please?"

"Certainly,"He said,"She has proved a worthy Gryffindor today."

The girl packed her things, also slipping the jar in her pocket, and followed the professor out of the classroom. They walked slowly in silence, mainly because the girl liked the professor and wanted to be liked by her too, so she decided to break the silence.

"Professor Snape still seems suffering form his injuries." Charlotte finally said.

"Yes, indeed he is," replied McGonogall," Hang on, this happened before you time, surely?"

Charlotte hesitated before answering,"It did, but surely you wouldn't think I haven't done my research."

Minerva was puzzled by her prolonged silence but before she could speak, Charlotte spoke once more,"Professor I have known of you for some time, I look up to you very much and would like to share my closely guarded secret with you."

Minerva blushed and said, "I am very honoured by this, but can only wonder what it is that you wish to tell me."

"I do not wish to tell you anything," Charlotte said.

"oh," replied a very confused McGonogall.

"I wish to SHOW you my secret," continued Charlotte.

Charlotte stopped. Then started began to walk again but as she did she changed. She turned into a cat. She had amazingly soft white fur, although it was quite short. Behind her ears and paws her hair was long and fluffy, her eyes were sparkling emerald and on her back were a few light grey markings. Minerva slowly came to realisation of what was happening, her face went through many emotions: shock, laughter, joy and shock again.

returning to her human form Charlotte asked,"I'm not showing off am I?"

Minerva opened her mouth but Charlotte spoke again,"It's just I couldn't keep it from you.... emm... I mean anybody any longer."

"I'm sure you had your reasons, and I'm not one to judge,"said McGonogall," I'm sure you will know I can do the same, though compared to you my animagus is not so pretty."

"nonsense, I do like a tabby cat, please walk with me in you animagus form," Charlotte replied.

The pair both changed into their cat forms and trotted around the castle, Mcgonogall occasionally stopping to show Charlotte some things. They were a lot longer than Minerva expected and was in a hurry to show Charlotte to her shared dorm But suddenly 2nd year classes had ended and on the way to the changing stair cases, Minerva had been spotted.

"Harry?!"said Hermionie.

"What now?" He replied.

"Yeah, miss sorry I'm late Granger, what's the matter?"joked Ron.

While glaring at Ron again, Hermionie answered,"I'm sure that was professor McGonogall."

"so what?"asked Harry, "she's always prowling around on her four feet."

"But there's another cat!" Hermionie said, almost screaming.

"Maybe it's just a stray," Ron said while chewing on a hand full of the famous every flavoured jelly beans.

"Well if that's the case then where's Charlotte? I'm ment to be looking after her!" questioned Hermionie.

"She'll be fine," said Harry,"Come on lets go to the library, it's the only place you'll settle down."

Ron began to protest to this but this time Harry shot the 'shut up' look.

Meanwhile Professor McGonogall had shown Charlotte the Gryffindor common room, the second year dorms and given her the necessary passwords. After spending another half hour chatting in the Gryffindor common room Charlotte felt the presents of someone trying to enter her mind, knowing what she had shown Professor McGonogall previously, she tried to desperately to fight it. The girl collapsed one the sofa, unconscious.

"You know your not ment to share information like that, Don't you?" the voice said intimidatingly.

"I....had to!"regaining courage Charlotte screamed inside her head,"She needs to know!"

"DON'T YOU?!" The voice shouted.

"Where's the harm in her knowing what I can do?!" Charlotte said, raging now.

"You know the risks of you even being here!" he boomed.
Silence was upon the child.

"You know what you must do know," he said, a lot calmer, "You brought it upon yourself."

Weeping she agreed the deed must be done to take away the link she now possessed with the professor by forcing memory loss on McGonogall, leaving happy normal memorys of their tour in it's place, instead of the close ones she longingly wanted to keep.

Meanwhile unaware of the things going on inside the child's head, McGonogall knelt over her, heavy with worry. Charlotte's eye let one single tear fall down her cheek, then she shifted. McGonogall moved out of the way of the sofa and Charlotte began to find her way off it.

"I was so worried, what happened?"McGonogall asked, rather shaken.

"I...I...I'm sorry....." Charlotte said allowing the rest of her tears to roll down her face.

Getting a little teary-eyed herself McGonogall responded," You have nothing to be sorry of," unable to keep a strangely overwhelming feeling inside, McGonogall simply cried.

Interrupting this though Charlotte meaningfully said," I have a lot to be sorry for...."

She lifted her wand and muttered some words. This time it was McGonogall's turn to fall.

She stood there, her wand was shacking, she couldn't move. Her feet were stuck to the floor floor and tears flooded her entire body. McGonogall moaned and gripped her head, only then was Charlotte's trance broken. She wiped her face, put away her wand and went over to the professor.

"Professor?"Charlotte asked,"Can you hear me?"

"What bloody happened?" groaned McGonogall, she tried to move and winced in pain.

"You tripped." lied Charlotte,"You caught your leg on the corner of this table.

"Only I could do such a stupid thing," Mcgonogall said,"Oh Albus you must take me for a fool."

"Professor? It's me Charlotte, I can get Dumbeldore for you if you wish though." said Charlotte.

"Oh dear, what have I said," McGonogall whispered.

Charlotte heard this and replied, "I think your just a little dazed, I won't mention what you have said."

"Thank you very much miss...."started McGonogall, "Hang on I do not know your second name."

"I.....I....er...hmmm...I don't erm have one." replied he girl.

"How strange," Mcgonogall answered looking at her watch,"My goodness is that the time, you must go find miss Granger."

"Yes Professor,"She answered, "Would you like a hand?"

"Please," She said "I enjoyed our tour today,Charlotte, I'm sorry if it bored you."

"Not at all professor," Charlotte said, "Just out of curiosity, did you remember our conversations about animaguses?"

"No," replied McGonogall, " Sorry the bump to my head must have made me forget."

Charlotte smiled weakly and murmured, "It worked then..."

McGonogall heard a mumble and asked, "What was that?"

"I said that's a shame then," replied Charlotte.

Charlotte helped the professor up and left in a hurry. It wasn't long until she spotted Hermionie, Ron and Harry but she rushed past them into the girls toilets. 10 minuets later she came out to find the 3 of them waiting for her .

"Where were you?" Questioned Hermionie.

"I...I..was with my..I mean professor Mcgonogall." Charlotte answered.

"What about that cat I saw with her, did you know about the cat?"Hermionie continued.

Harry had noticed Charlotte's eyes were stinging red and that there were small tears embedded in them and elbowed Hermionie in the ribs.

"Ow!" Hermionie squealed,"What's that for?"

Harry tried to point at Charlotte without her spotting him, lucky for him this was easy as the girl was in a very big daze.

Meanwhile Minerva, who was still rather phased, walked out of Gryffindor common room only to walk straight into Albus.

"Are you aright Minerva?" He began,"You look quite distant."

"Well apparently I had a little fall," replied Minerva.

"Come sit back down with me then, lets see if we can't make you feel better," Albus said.

Minerva agreed and the two walked back to the common room where they sat, very closely, on opposite sofas. Albus clicked his fingers and the fire lit it's self. They sat and talked for a long time, and slowly their eyes found each other. Minerva starred hopelessly into his deep mysterious sparkling eyes, they reminded her of the Egyptian sea she once came across on a muggle holiday with Poppy. Albus also starred onto Minerva's deep green eyes, they were like his own private emerald mine. He felt, the all to familiar, uncontrollable urge to just grab her and admit all the feelings her had towards her. But knowing the circumstances and that and Gryffindor student could walk in, he managed to quench his feelings for her once more. Minerva looked into the now dark sky and back into his eyes, she realised there was much more mystery in his eyes than the night sky and made a very unexpected decision. She leaned forward and gently kissed his lips just long enough for him to develop a taste, a craving.

"Thank you for being a true friend over the years," Minerva said.

Disappointed to only be seen as a friend Albus answered,"You are very welcome my dear, can I escort you to dinner?"

"Yes, that would be lovely," Minerva replied.

The two walked in silence. Minerva knew deep down she kissed him for other reasons that friendship, but she wasn't stupid and worried what would happen if he knew how she felt. Albus also walked in deep though, he wondered if he should have made his move, he wondered if he had ruined everything by doing nothing.

Harry and Ron had managed to put Hermionie off about asking about Charlotte's afternoon.

But Hermionie was intrigued and began to question,"Charlotte, about......"

Ron looked at the troubled girl and stepped in,"I'm hungry, is it dinner yet?"

Harry knew what Ron was doing and looked at his watch, even though they had 20 minuets left he said,"Yes, I think it's time we headed off."

"Ronald Weasley? How can YOU possible be hungry?"Asked Hermionie,"You have't stopped eating all day."

Although this new debate got Charlotte off the hook, Ron was in for a heated argument with Hermionie, Charlotte realised what he'd done for her and acknowledged him with a smile. Which was one of the hardest things to give up in her currently stressing time. All the way to the great hall Harry studied Charlotte, her eyes seemed clouded, she starred though walls as if she could see out side and she constantly had a finger in her mouth, chewing whatever nails she had left.

Since they all walked so slowly they got to the great hall with perfect timing. By now Charlotte's tears had dried but she still looked very remote, however as soon as she saw McGonogall and Dumbeldore walking together and the way they were looking at each other, her eyes lit up. Charlotte watched the two off them all the way though dinner and Harry, Ron and Hermionie watched her watching them.

Dinner ended, students were dismissed and Charlotte fled outside. Her three new friends followed her, of course, and sat next to her under a tree. That's when the floods of tears came.

"What's wrong?" Hermionie said concerned.

Silence.

"The professors have a child." Charlotte blurted out.

Laughing Ron said,"You probably just heard about Harry, they practically raised him."

"...no,no.... they have a daughter...." She began,"That cat you spoke of is their daughter in her animagus form."

"Are you jealous?" Hermionie asked gently.

As shocked as Harry, Ron and Hermionie were that the two professors had a child between them, they had no idea what was coming next.

Charlotte shifted, still crying, and stood up. She changed into her animagus form and back again.

"oh my....."Hermionie said.
