The weather betrayed the very feeling deep within his soul. The sun was bright, shining down upon the group, desperately trying to warm their souls, but to no avail. His heart at the moment was dark, full of sorrow and confusion. She was innocent. She didn’t deserve this; she hadn’t done anything wrong in her short life. A gentle summer breeze picked up, stringing his auburn hair around his face, neck and shoulders. His emotionless blue eyes dripped salty tears down his pale cheeks.
Under the pile of earth before him, was a loved one. One who was loved by all who met her, and who was held dear to every single heart she said hello too. She couldn’t have been more of a sweet person. She laughed brightly, she cared deeply. What more could someone ask for?
Albus could feel his heart break with every word said to him: So sorry for your loss… this was so unexpected…owl us if you need us… deepest condolences. Over and over people apologized for his loss – but not the one person who needed too. A hand placed on his shoulder, and he looked into the deep emerald eyes; it was like he was looking into her eyes.
But Minerva’s were filled with tears, and were reddened with earlier tears shed. Her black hair, reminded him of her, but her hair was more reddish. Minerva tucked a piece of her black hair behind her ear, and looked down at the ground, before back up into his blue eyes. “Albus… I… want to hold her so badly.” She broke down, sobbing into his chest.
He broke down with her, sobbing into her arms. He pulled her close to her, hugging her tightly. “I know Minerva… I want her back too.”
They slowly sank down beside the pile of earth together. He held her as close as he possibly could. He could not, would not, lose another loved one.
“Promise me something Albus.” Minerva pulled away to look up at him with hate filled eyes.
“Anything Minerva.”
“Kill him.” She said, coldly. She sniffed away the last of her tears, as the third stage of grief set it – anger. “Kill him for killing our daughter.”
“I will.” He answered her, pulling her to her feet with him. “And I’ll come back to you.”
Minerva nodded, laying her head across his chest, reading the gravestone that only added to the fire inside of Albus leading him to kill the evil Gindlewald:
Tara Minerva Dumbledore
Six years of life
Wonderful daughter and loving
Friend
