It was evening, they had all gone. In the living room, infront ofthe fire place, JHarry was happy. He was sitting in heer lap, and tryiong to play with her long black hair. And...she waS LAUGHING. What would her stuidents say if they saw her now? What would dumbledore? It was common knolege that there wasn't one student who had never wished to pull at her hair. Harry smiled up ather, the woman who never smiled. He was safe, in the loving arms of a woman who wasn't his mother. nothing could hurt him, nobody could reach him. He was home. 'Once upon a time, in a faraway land...' Minerva McGonagall's harsh voice, with that distinctive r s of the scotish peope rang in the room. She was reading him a storry. The fire in the grate threw a worm, dim light arownd the room. pop. Both the woman and the boy looked up startled. 'Albus! Could you please stop doing that, you can knock on the door, you know, you don't have to scare the wits out of people.' Dumbledore smiled, taking in the image before him. Prof McGonagall with her hair down, wearing a long red night dress, her hair free on her sholders, or rather in harry's little hands. 'You were reading?' he said in amusement, his eyes lingering on the bookion her hand. 'What if i was?' 'Well, keep on reading and be a good mommy, Minerva.' She glared at him over her glasses, but didn't replie. Sio dumnbledore sat down and listend to her reading to harry. And the night strached on, and her voice went on, the sam voice, but it seemed stranglely a little softer, well as soft as scotish accent can go... TBC

Harry shifted on mcgonagall's lap. They were both sleeping. They were actually sleeping, heads resting against one another, the headmaster and his deputy, looking terribly ridiculous and out of place, but also very sweet and oh so very tragic. Peacefull, for a night. Neither ever slept more than 4 hours a night and now...look at them. There was something...something that at the same time made you smile, laugh and cry. Laugh, because they looked so ridiculous, smile cause they looked so happy and cry...Harry was too young to understand that. It was much deeper, you could see whpo they were who was behind the masc of dust and stone...how they looked with their faces empty of tension, and their minds empty of sorrow and worry...It was sad it was only sleeping that they could be happy...only in a dream.
