Sunday, January 105h
lemon drops: 7, units hot chocolate: 4, number of times woken up in place other than my bed: 2
Am v. tired. Dreadful night. Woke up in the kitchen first. Around dawn I woke again on one of the toilets. Must find a remedy against this.
But to be completely honest, I’m embarrassed about it. Aberforth and the children at school used to tease me so much about this. I believe I must have a sleeping potion here somewhere.
Played chess with Minerva last night and talked about Alastor and Poppy. We’ve decided to play matchmaker for them.
But Minerva’s ideas about playing matchmaker are quite different from mine. I suggested they should go out to for dinner some time.
She wanted to lock them in a broom cabinet.
I wanted to send anonymous love letters.
But Minerva thought it was a better idea to play ‘spin the bottle’ in the Staff Room one night.
‘Spin the bottle’ is a ridiculous game. You sit down in a circle with some friends and place a bottle flat in the middle. One of you spins the bottle and kisses the person the bottle points at. She suggested we should bewitch the bottle so that Alastor and Poppy would have to kiss all the time.
She laughed when I told her that perhaps she had too much to plan this all.
Tuesday, January 21th
lemon drops: 19, units hot chocolate: 3 (v.g), number of caught animals: 8
Disaster day. Fudge was here to talk some things over when all of a sudden a racoon jumped through the window, into my Office, scaring Fawkes to death. After we had caught the animal Fudge left. He was a little put out because I thought finding out where the racoon came from was more important then solving his little problems.
Was walking through the corridors when one of the third years came running towards me and told me something had gone wrong during Minerva’s class.
Apparently one of the students used a wrong spell and all the cages had disappeared. Minerva has a wonderful classroom. It’s just like a zoo.
She has so many cages and hutches in there. And although she will never admit it, I once caught her talking to the animals. With Filius’ help we managed to caught all the animals and magic the cages back.
Once all the animals were locked in their cages again Filius left. Minerva was feeding the animals and I sat on her desk. I don’t know if she noticed it, but I couldn’t stop staring at her.
She looked at me and asked me what was wrong. I got to my feet and said her name. I almost told her what I feel for her. But I lost my courage.
Am a muggy old man.

Haha, I love Minerva's matchmaking plans...but I think Poppy needs to reciprocate them for her. I do hope there's more planned, Albus needs to stop being a complete fool and be honest. Great chap!

well...I'm all for "Spin the Bottle"...prolly...Alastor and/or Poppy...along with the rest of the staff would bewitch it, so the bottle always turns to Min and Albus... Though, I'd say the broom cabinet should work just as well.... Since Albus doesn't get his act together...  Menagerie a Transfiguration...*giggles* Oooh, please go on |

It's grand! I love how Min thought that Spin the Bottle would be better than the fake love letters! I would've thought that it would be the other way around-Min for the letters, Albus for the games. Oh well.

Wednesday, January 23rd

04.18 Cannot sleep any longer. Woke up half an hour ago near Filius’ classroom. Need to do some work anyway, so should best get started.
Have slept v. poorly for the last past days. Minerva told me last night during dinner that I looked tired and should have an early night. Was v. touched. She’s a dear.
04.20 Will clean my desk. Good plan.
04.20 Found picture of birthday a couple of years ago. Filius had transfigured the Great Hall in two bowling alleys. Hagrid threw so hard he broke all the tenpins. Severus only joined for my sake. And Filius didn’t only throw the ball, but also himself over the alley. Nice pictures.
04.46 Have too many possessions
04.51 Ah, a choco frog
04.52 Alas, should have know it was passed the date. Ugh.
05.04 Right, everything is now sprawled across floor. I don’t clean up. I take it from my desk, look at it, throw it at the floor to examine it later, then decide that I don’t feel like cleaning any longer and put everything back in the drawer. It’s always the same.
05.26 Three hours before breakfast.
05.28 Am thinking about two days ago when I almost told Minerva that I love her. Have been thinking about telling her a lot lately. It’s so frustrating to spend the best part of the day in the company of someone one is completely besotted with, but isn’t allowed to know.
Before I met Minerva I used to speak my mind. It didn’t always work out the way I wanted it to, but I did open my mouth. It’s different now. This isn’t some infatuation or little crush. I truly love her.
05.38 Right, from now one I will drop little hints. Give her compliments or something like that. Let’s see how she’ll react to that.
06.11 Have leant ‘ Sense and Sensibility’ from Minerva. She only reads books written before 1900. Nice book.
06.23 Poor Marianne. Wiloughby has just broken her heart.
09.56 Just got back from breakfast. Fell asleep. Minerva woke me at nine. She came looking for me since I didn’t appear at breakfast and found me sleeping on my desk. I’ve told her that I’ve just slept badly for the last few days, but she insisted on me visiting Poppy.
During breakfast she brought up the subject again. Told her I thought it was very sweet of her to worry about me but that it wasn’t necessary. She blushed, I swear.
Friday, January 25th
lemon drops: 4, units hot chocolate: 1
23.44 Am v.v. tired. Got a sleeping potion from Poppy, but she did ask all kinds of questions. The vial says I should take a glass of water with two drops. Two drops! That’s nothing.
23. 46 Don’t feel sleepy at all.
23.51 Will take another glass with a large dash of potion.
23.52. Still nothing
23.55 Will take some more.
23.57 Want a good night’s rest without waking up for once.

I saw the Bridget Jones Films - they are hilarious. I *love* your adaption. I was rolling on the floor laughing while I read this! Especially hilarious was the day when everything went wrong ... robe caught fire, beard a mess ... JUST GREAT!!!
When do we get an update??? And what about a Min Diary??

Oh you have to update! I love this novel idea of Albus keeping a diary. It's refreshing, light and completely endearing. I'm addicted!

I haven't been on the board for a while.
I am really sorry, but I don't have the story on my
computer anymore. I finished it a long time ago but
never got around it to post it and now it's gone.
I don't feel like re-write it all over again, it has been ages that I have write a story, but if anyone else wants to end it, or re-write it, please do so.

I love this story so much and I had an idea for another part, just a short piece. Maybe we can make a round robin out of this.
This is of course not as good as the previous, but anyway......
Saturday, January 26th
8.00 am: Wake up very slowly. Must have had too much of the sleeping potion. My bed feels so warm and comfortable. I want to doze just a little bit longer with my eyes closed. The scent of vanilla and lavender reaches my nose. Can't remember right now why it feels so familiar....but yet strange, as I normally smell lemon and chocolate when I wake up in my bed. Open one eye slowly. Very strange! I see red bedding, but mine is always purple....Maybe a side-effect of the sleeping potion? Oh Merlin, what is this? There is someone lying next to me! Someone wearing an emerald green nightgown. For Merlin's sake! This must be Minerva's bed! How did I get here? Must have been sleepwalking again....did not wake up because of the sleeping potion! Oh no! How embarrassing! Must leave as soon as possible! If Minerva finds me here she'll hex me into next century!
