A/N: I have other stories I should be working on.....but this plot bunny jumped up and bit me in the rear.....bunny teeth hurt......
“Albus.” Minerva prodded the sleeping form next to her. “Wake up you old coot.”
“Mmm?” Albus rolled over on to his side and opened one bleary eye. “What is it Minerva?”
Minerva smiled coyly.
“Oh no, not again!” Albus groaned in reply to the smile.
“Please?” Minerva asked.
“It is the middle of the night my dear.” Albus rolled over in a vain attempt to go back to sleep.
“I know, but I haven’t asked for a while now.”
Albus grimaced as he glared at the clock. “Correction, it is two in the morning.”
“Would you please?”
“And how am I supposed to accomplish this feat?”
“You never used to have a problem with it. In fact you would do it two or three times a night!”
“I was a younger man then.”
Minerva snorted. “That was only a couple of weeks ago.”
“Like I said, I was a younger man then.” Albus yawned. “Go to sleep Minerva, classes start tomorrow.”
“Fine.” Minerva glared at him tearfully. “What kind of husband are you anyway.” She sniffed. “I will just have to get Severus to help me.”
“What?”
“Well, you won’t do it! So I will just have to get another man to perform your duties.” Minerva began to push the covers off and reached for her dressing gown.
“Minerva….be reasonable…..”
“I am being reasonable! You are the one who won’t do this one little thing for his wife! Besides, as you said classes start tomorrow, and Severus is faster then you are.” She sniffed angrily at him. “You go back to sleep.”
Albus blinked at his wife. “No..no, Minerva, you stay here. It is late and the castle is cold. Besides, Severus needs his sleep as much as you do, his first class is comprised of first years this term.”
“Are you going to do it then?”
“Yes….yes I am.” Albus yawned as he stood up. “Blueberries from Maine, Peaches from Florida, Cherries from Michigan, Milk chocolate from Belgium, Pork Pot stickers from China and a Bango Smoothie from London…did I forget to list anything?”
“No, that’s everything, and do hurry dear, I am dreadfully hungry, and since it usually takes you a couple of hours to collect everything you should get started, after all, it is two in the morning.” Minerva smiled as she patted her slightly rounded stomach. “Blame your children. Twins are hard to keep satisfied.”
Blinking tiredly at his wife Albus sighed again. “How many more months do we have?”
“I am only four weeks along Albus, we still have a couple more months. Besides, when the children are born, you will be waking up in the middle of the night to change them and feed them. This is just practice.”
Albus stood in the doorway and stared at his wife. “You mean we will be getting up to change and feed them.” He pleaded.
“If I meant that I’d have said it.” Minerva smiled at her exasperated husband. “I love you Albus. And no, of course I will not make you do all the work after I spend those many hours in labor to bring your children into this world”
Albus shuffled slowly out the doorway wondering what exactly he had gotten himself into.
