Leather Goods

Minerva McGonagall fingered the leather bustier and examined it closely. Next week was Poppy’s birthday and instead of the staid gift she normally gave her dear friend, she planned to shock her.
Poppy had been dating a mystery man for several months now and would not reveal him to Minerva. Poppy kept saying they weren’t ready to go public just yet and to be patient.
Minerva envied her friend. She had fallen in love with Albus Dumbledore, Headmaster of Hogwarts, several years ago and hadn’t gotten the nerve to even say it out loud. She also hadn’t drummed up the courage to bring up the subject with him.
She picked up the bustier and matching knickers and quickly purchased them. It wouldn’t do to have anyone seeing her making such a purchase. The rumor mill in the wizarding world was rampant.
Minerva shrank her package and put it in the pocket of her robes. She would stroll through Hogsmeade before returning to the castle. She stood just outside of Honeydukes and debated buying a few sweets for Albus. It would give her an excuse to see him later so she entered and bought several of his favorites along with a sampling of other new products.
An hour later she entered her private rooms at Hogwarts and resized the gift she had purchased. She would have to wrap it later but she wondered what she would look like wearing the outfit.
A knock on her door stopped her musing and she hurried picked up the items and stashed them in her laundry bag.
Albus Dumbledore stood on the other side of Minerva’s door and was about to knock again when she opened it and ushered him inside. A few minutes of idle chatter and the sweets given to him made him wish he could find a reason to stay longer.
“You’ve a busy day ahead of you still, Minerva.” Albus said as he spied her laundry bag near the front door.
“I was preparing to send for a house elf and to see about dinner. Would you care to join me?” Minerva liked to eat in her sitting room during the summer holidays instead of the Great Hall.
“Allow me to deliver your laundry while you confer about dinner.” Albus gallantly picked up the large bag of linens and soiled clothing and left. He was whistling a tune and snapping his fingers when he turned a corner and collided with Peeves.
The poltergeist gasped in horror and disappeared before Albus could tell him there was no harm done. Several articles of clothing had spilled from the bag and Albus began to gather them when his fingers touched a leather piece.
He lifted the bustier up and let out a whistle. Minerva certainly was a surprise. He frowned a little as he tried to figure out if she had been away from the castle for any length of time. Was she seeing someone?
He dropped off the laundry and went to his rooms to change into a snazzier outfit. He wanted to make an impression.
He was decidedly unhappy as he perused his closet. He had begun dressing like an old man. Sure, his robes were colorful but there were more modern cuts he could wear that would suit his frame just as well. He decided to spend a day shopping as soon as possible.
Dinner was a fine affair that evening. Albus and Minerva spent several hours talking and laughing as he regaled her with stories of his misspent youth. She didn’t believe a word of his tales but he was a fantastic storyteller and she hadn’t laughed so heartily in a long while.
True to his word, Albus spent the very next day shopping for new clothes from robes down to underwear. Instead of his regular boxers he chose several pairs of bikini briefs. The salesman assured him they were all the rage and many wives expressed their delight over them. He went home and tossed out his old underwear and packed his new ones in his top drawer.
Minerva was the first to notice Albus was wearing new robes over the next few days. He looked so handsome that she found it hard not to lavish him with compliments. She noticed he seemed rather ill at ease at times and expressed concern but he always brushed it off.
Albus was more than a little ill at ease. His underwear loved to ride up on him, which made walking uncomfortable. It was worse when Minerva was nearby. He would inhale her fragrance when she leaned over him and his libido would kick in causing his nature to rise uncomfortably in his new briefs. There literally wasn’t room to grow. Minerva would notice he wasn’t his normal self but he could hardly explain to her the reasons why.
After four days of fighting with his underwear he decided to go into Hogsmeade and purchase his regular boxers.
“Albus, you’re going shopping again?” Minerva was surprised as Albus wasn’t one to shop often. She had come to his office to drop off two new applications for the DADA position when he mentioned he needed to go to the village to make a few purchases.
“I made a wrong decision and need to replace a few items.”
“Albus, your robes were handsome. Each of them looked great on you.”
“I also purchased new underwear and socks.” He blushed a little and Minerva smiled widely.
“Well, you aren’t walking around barefoot so it isn’t your socks that are giving you problems. Have we gained a little weight from all the sweets we’ve eaten?”
Albus was affronted. “Certainly not! I just decided to make a change and I like my former style better than the latter.”
Minerva’s smile grew even more. “You certainly have me interested. Care to show me?”
Albus cocked his head and smiled in return. “Why Minerva, are you trying to get into my robes?” His laughter filled the room as Minerva turned beet red.
“I didn’t mean the ones you’re wearing!” she protested.
She was about to advance on him when Tipsy, his personal house elf, arrived with several towels and his laundry bag.
“Master Albie, I be doing something wrong with the laundry. They is shrunk.” The house elf fished in the bag and pulled out the briefest pair of men’s underwear that Minerva had ever seen.
Tipsy stood trembling waiting to be punished but Albus shook his head.
“No, Tipsy, I purchased them like this. Do not punish yourself and thank you for the clothes.” Tipsy bowed low and disappeared.
Albus tried to keep the blush from his face as he banished his clothing to his bedroom. What must Minerva be thinking?
Minerva was trying not to laugh but the bubble in her throat refused to go down and came out despite her best efforts.
Albus waited until her laughter subsided a bit before approaching her.
“You find it funny, do you?”
“Albus, there is no chance of you fitting into those. It won’t…oh, I mean, there’s no way…” Minerva stopped as she realized that there was no polite way of finishing that sentence.
Albus smiled ruefully. “It was worse when I was around you.”
The implications of his words hit her and wiped the smile from her face. Was he serious?
He moved closer until she could feel his breath on her neck. “I couldn’t keep all my impulses down when your scent invaded my territory.”
“So…er… you tried to wear something more binding?”
“I was trying to be hip, modern. I accidentally noticed you wear rather daring things beneath your robes and I felt I was years behind the times.” He explained the accidental collision and subsequent gathering of her clothing.
Minerva began to laugh again. “I bought it for a gift and when you came to my rooms unannounced, I hid them in my laundry. Those aren’t mine.”
Albus’ hand brushed across her cheek. “Really? I had a wonderful time imagining you wearing them.” His fingers lazily brushed against her lips and he heard a hitch in her breathing. He bent and kissed her softly on the lips.
The kiss grew passionate, as neither was willing to end it too soon.
“Albus, we had better get you to the shops soon. Your briefs aren’t binding you at all,” murmured Minerva when they paused for air.
“Sooner than you think, my dear,” he whispered in her ear as he began tasting the sensitive area around her earlobe. “I’m not wearing any briefs at all.”
