And here is my response to Alex ;D
Quilt Issues!
Minerva McGonagall woke up with a start, she glanced across room the room at the old grandfather clock that stood in the left hand corner of the large bedroom. The moonlight was peaking through the drawn curtains and lit the clock's face up, it was two in the morning.
The fire that had once been roaring a few hours before, was now out and could explain why she felt so cold. A loud snort from beside her could also explain why she was cold, she rolled over on to her side and tugged at the quilt cover that was currently draped over her husband. Once again, he had ended up hogging the quilt cover in his sleep.
She pulled at the cover but it wouldn't come because Albus was tangled in it, his arms clamped by his sides so she couldn't pull her part of the quilt over herself. It was the same every night, she would wake to find Albus hogging the quilt. Part of it would be over him and the other half would be on the floor.
"Albus!" she asked as she shook him "Albus!"
She received no reply, she had expected this because not even a herd of wild Hippogiffs stampeding through their rooms would wake Albus up. He could sleep through anything which irritated Minerva no end especially when she was trying to get to sleep and he was snoring, she would always try to get to sleep before him but that rarely happened because Albus could fall asleep instantly.
"Albus!" she tried again, yanking the quilt harder.
Albus' response was to pull the quilt tighter to him, he moaned and snuggled down in to his pillow. Minerva sighed in frustration, she was cold and her wand was over the other side of the room. She knew if she got out of bed then Albus would move into the center of the bed and hog that as well.
"Albus bloody Dumbledore, wake up you old coot!" she said directly into his ear.
Albus stirred but did not wake, he simply mumbled something that she couldn't understand but it did sound like sherbet lemons with extra sherbet. She tugged at the quilt again and managed to dislodge some of it from under his arm, she draped it over and snuggled into her husband. The small amount of quilt she had managed to from Albus, only covered half her body. She managed to get her feet tucked in under the quilt and near his feet.
"BLOODY HELL!" said Albus sitting bolt upright in bed "Your feet are freezing!"
Minerva used the fact that he was now sitting up to her advantage and pulled at the quilt, she was able to cover herself completely in the warmth of the quilt and the body heat of her husband. She smiled softly, she now knew how to get her part of the quilt back.
"Tabby, you are hogging the covers!" he complained as he settled back down in bed and pulled the quilt over him.
"I am not hogging it!" she replied. "You were the one who was hogging it, if I had been hogging it how does that explain why my feet as so cold?"
"Your feet are cold because you will not wear socks to bed!" he answered as he tugged the quilt again and ended up with more than Minerva.
Minerva sighed to herself, socks in bed annoyed her nearly as much as quilt hogging and wet towels on the bathroom floor.
THE END!
