Okay, this is pretty random, but I was just searching Wikipedia and found something interesting about a Harry Potter character... Has anyone ever wondered why some people call Madame Hooch "Rolanda" and some call her "Xiomara"? I never actually knew the reason. Wikipedia says that the Internet Movie Database orginally listed her as Xiomara Hooch, but the Trading Card Game lists her as Rolanda. Some fans even combine the name, using one as her first name and the other as her middle name.
I'm finished with my randomness now. Don't shoot me, please! lol

Thats actually kinda interesting, when I first read a fic that used those names, I thought they were pretty neat to have invented. Then I saw more fics used with those names, and I thought it was interesting because I thought someone just started using a name, and people just jumped on the bandwagon with it.
That clears it up for me. Thanks, it was kinda random, but it DID answer a question that was in the back of my mind!

Random but very informative! I wondered about that too, KSpirit. I am writing a fic and I was wondering what to call her. You cleared it up. Thanks.

Ohh well that makes a lot of sense now, I always wondered why. I jumped on the Xiomara bandwagon because I like it more.

I knew. At first I thought people were just using two writers' good ideas, but when I saw so many stories using those names, I checked HPL, and they had the same info Wikipedia had.
