 Hey there, I know I've been absent a lot from the board, but I'm trying to get back in. Sorry! I was just wondering what everyone thought about a scheduled weekly chat. I know the timing would have to be tweaked considering we have members from all over the US and Europe, but I just want to know if a weekly chat is something that interests you. Thanks, April :-)

Pop-up blockers are great things, but not when they prevend you from installing the chat box.
Yes, I'd love the idea of a weekly group chat. Just tell me when & where and I'll be there!

It seems I can finally access the chat room at home, and now no one is there. Weekly chats would be fun.

Perhaps there could be two scheduled times so we can choose the most convenient time. I am in the US but I log on more during the late night hours after the kids are asleep.
Are we thinking of having topics or just random chats?

I was thinking we could have weekly topics along with some random sort of ice breakers. I agree about the 2 different times, it's hard when we're from all different time zones.

I'm not sure you can make even two times so that everyone can join. I myself live in Australia, I'm 19, live with my parents, and have a chronic illness. There is no way they would let me stay up to the hours I would have to to talk to everybody else. On the other hand, two chat times seems like a great idea to me.

We used to have weekly chats on teh Scarecrow and Mrs. King boards (that's a TV show) back-in-the-day. They were on Sunday's, around 11 PM my time. Most of us (SMKers) were from America, England or Germany, so there were some strange times for people and a lot of people (myself included) couldn't chat every week (for me it was because of school and parents. I was only around 15 at the time) but it was always a treat when one was able to get on. The idea of two times is a good one, too.  |
