Smart one that I am I just got back ok. Mugglemin Julie cut her hair for Mary Poppins because she had to wear a wig and long hair underneath a wig gets HOT. So that's why she has short hair in TSOM. I watched Mary Poppins commentary That's how I know. (that was a while ago so I know but still)

*lol* I have to admit I don't remember her saying that in the commentary ... Shame on me ... Well, I guess that's just the reason I needed to watch it again ... Not that I really need a reason ...

She said that on PD2 or Mary Poppins but I remember she said that. Maby it was PD I don't remember it's one of those 3 though. I'm going towards Mary Poppins though. I remember her saying something about it somewhere.

Then again when does she not? I think my fav look for was in that dress she wore to Mia's birthday party in the begining of PD2.

True, she always looks great ! I've only seen pics so far, but I've so got to look for an online clip of that ... Oh, when you say she might've told that story on the PD - DVDs, are you referring to the one where she had to glue her wig on, and got bitten by insects all the time, so that the next day she looked like she had the measles (or scarlet fever - don't remember which disease she used ... )? I think that was during the filming of Darling Lili, but I'm not 100% sure ...

It was Mary Poppins ... I'm just watching it with the audio commentary and she just said it ... She cut her hair because of the wig she had to wear in MP ... It simply was too hot ...

*Has just actually read the thread*
I'm English and I like julie Andrews. TSOM is my all time favourite film, I love it so much. But Maggie Smith just is. Cannot compare. I also love Judi Dench. But yeah, still Maggie is supreme over both of them.
Julie Walters. That's my competition, then I really couldn't choose.

You have to, you really do, well, I think you do. She'll never be Maggie but where would I be without Mary/Bert and Maria/Georg Part of my shipper childhood. Do you think it's inbuilt, to be a romantic? Because it really contradicts the rest of my character.
