In the fics I've written I've always had Minerva have green eyes. What do you guys think though?

Yep, we have had this poll before, and I'm still saying green. hehe You know, it's funny- JK never says Minerva has green eyes, but I often forget that because of fanfiction. Ah, the power of fanfiction... lol

Even if we have had this poll before, I'll still offer my opinion: green gets my vote. Like beMMADfabulous said, JKR never even told us the Min has green eyes, but it's just one of those accepted facts in fanfiction-dom  |

Well...I use grey. No idea why, I used to use green and emerald, then I thought it got cliche (sorry), and thus now use grey. I just can imagine her better with grey eyes, no idea why...
The whole black hair, stern features (which I prefer to think of as sharp) with grey eyes that darken...much preferable for me. And yes, I'm well aware I'm insane.

I voted other. I use a form of green, but not green. I prefer emerald. I don't know why but I think it's more different and less cliche (no offense). I think that she would look amazing with emerald eyes, especially because of her wardrobe. It would explain it at least a little bit (her wardrobe, that is). So, yes, that's my opinion.

I've always thought green even before I read any fanfic because cats have green eyes. If Minerva had a different colour and it translated to her animagus form, I would have thought JK would have said somthing in the first book when she is listing all the unusual things Min is doing as a cat. (Like reading a map).

Green is very widely accepted in fanon but I do actually like the thought of her with grey eyes. When we write to JKR let's ask her.

I beg to differ about cats only having green eyes. The ones I've had have been blue, grey, amber, brown, yellow and green. Sorry if I sound like a smart arse, it's the Vet student in me. Well, hopefully, I'll wait until the exam results before I continue saying that. Ahh, it's tomorrow!

Fair enough. I've only ever seen green eyed cats, but then I'm not really a cat person. I guess that's why I imagine cats as having green eyes usually.

For me, MGonagall equals Maggie Smith, maybe because I saw PS film before reading any of the books. But in the books, she is supposed to look younger, isn't she? Anyway, green eyes would be nice (my eyes are green so I'm a bit biased  ) Or dark, as she has black hair. |

I have one weak impression of that I read in some of the books that Minnie has the brown eyes, BUT prefer she with the green eyes, definitively, therefore in my fics she always has the green eyes, emerald, or something thus =D

Yes, she has blue eyes, and I consequently vasicillate between blue and green eyes for Minerva. I think I started using green because it's the most common. But then I have the image of Maggie Smith as Desdemona with black hair in my head whenever I write something where Minerva's younger. That pushes me toward blue eyes.
So this was a pointless reply because I'm still undecided. >_<

I've always thought Min has dark green eys. Don't know why, maybe because of her emerald green robes. Besides, dark green is a cool eye colour, somewhat special.

I chose dark brown but green (emerald is what I call them) was close. One of my fics I need to put up reads something about Albus staring into her (Minerva's) chocolate brown eyes and suddenly he was in the mood for one of their late night chess games over a mug of hot cocoa. ;D

I voted for emerald, cuz it goes with the whole idea of dressing in green robes, though gray is powerful as well.
