The poll doesn't really cover my entire question, but I really should be doing my essay and I can't really think of how to include all possible answers, so please feel free to expand your answer if you'd like.
And now, the question...
Considering what we know happens in the last two books, (I am assuming that if you're reading this you know what is going to happen) are you looking forward to the last two movies?
In the previous movies (except PoA, I think) there have always been little tid bits of MMADness which have added to my enjoyment of the movies. I also think the actors bring something to the characters as well, which again, adds to the story in a way that the books are limited because everything is written from Harry's point of view. And unfortunately for us, he never thought the relationship between Albus and Minerva was worth much pondering, hence any extra MMADness in the movies is, presumably, the director's discretion.
So given these differences between the movies and the books, do you think there will be similar moments in the next two movies? If yes, is there anything in particular you'd like to see? Or would you prefer the movies to be exactly as the books are written?
I voted 'yes' by the way.

Well I noticed a bit of a trend in the moves, I just hope by mentioning it I won't jinx it, but all the movies that have had good ADMM moments were Nov releases(SS, CoS, GoF) while the ones iwht less were summer releases(PoA and OotP), so HBP should have more than DH, which makes sense since we won't have AD in the last one
just a note

I only want to see what they do with the DH movie, mostly I want to know if they include Ariana Mhm. It would be so awesome if they did, but somehow I doubt it. HBP, well, the filmakers will probably screw that one up

It will make the ending even more of a blow, which it is meant to be. The tragedy of Harry Potter - everyone he gets close to dies. laundry basket - I think they will refer to Ariana to some degree. It adds to the drama if they maintain the doubt Harry felt about Dumbledore's motives, but I guess it will depend on how much length they have to cut. Hopefully, if they do cut anything they'll at least add it to the DVDs. Re: HBP... I hope not because I really want to see lots of Albus in that movie. He is by far the highlight of HBP for me... I'm just waiting to have my hopes crushed I suppose.

No I'm not. There will be next to no Minerva in it, and Harry will continue to be a silly little twat (i.e. a fairly typical teenage boy in most things-although he's far more mature than Ron). On top of that, they will be action movies, where as I like Harry Potter for all the little details that JK puts in it.

I'll third it...
I didn't know Alan Rickman before PS and just melted away in my chair when first watching him make the famous speech to those poor firsties. Had a soft spot for him ever since...
As for the movies... I'm not particularly impressed. I don't like them being as different as they are. However, there's lots of great and monumental actors and actresses in them so you just have to see the movies. Severus is just the icing on the cake.

The movies have been for me . . . semi-ok. Meaning, mucho lack of MMADness and that gets to me. I loved the ones that has shippy moments in it though. They totally screwed up the shippyness in OOTP, barely any Min in it at all for that matter and i hate that. SO im looking forward to them but not really off the edge of my seat to see them.

I chose other because I wanna see where they go with them but I really hope they don't muck them up like they did OotP.... ~mmadlyinlove~ OK so I've never seen OotP...I need to find a friend who has it and borrow it. How did they muck it up? Please tell me they show McGonagall getting hit with the stunners because that's the part I wanted to see most (because of the sheer volume of fics that came out of it) and if they don't include it I'll be pissed, but it would be so typical of them not to, plus everyone's saying that she's barely there in OotP. But on the original subject, what I'm most curious about in the movie version of HBP is how they do Albus' messed up hand. It's described in the book but I have a feeling that how I'm picturing it is way less gruesome than J.K.R. means it to be.

Oh, and I said "Other" on this poll, btw, because I'm not entirely sure if I'm ready to see the last two films are not.. I mean, of course I love seeing the new films, but you won't (okay, well, since you're ADMM fans, you probably WILL) believe how much I argued with the directors the whole time I was watching OotP in theaters because of how much they messed it up. Yeah, so maybe I'm too picky, but the movies are supposed to be based on books, after all! You'd think they'd get them closer to the real thing..
Every time a new HP film is released, I get really excited, but then I have to remind myself that I'll probably be totally disappointed. For example, I actually brought tissue to the theater this year because I expected to cry at Minerva's Stunning scene (hehe). But what did they do?? LEAVE IT OUT! *grr* The whole time, too, I was sitting on the edge of my seat, waiting on the "He will not be single-handed!" line, but Minerva wasn't even in that scene!!
All in all, I don't see how the HBP and DH movies can get any better. :/

Hmm... I'm not sure what did I vote for, but I would say, yes. I do look forward to the last two movies; that is if there is great eye candy and special effects to ogle at. But plot wise, I won't be looking forward to them. DH was very depressing for me, and I thought that the ending was way too cliche and spoiled the enjoyment of waiting for hours outside the bookstore for 7.30am so I could get the book. HBP was much better, but I couldn't find any scenes that could lead to a possible inference that Albus and Minerva has a relationship.
I was tremendously disappointed with OOTP (the movie). Yes, there was great special effects, the final battle was worth lots of money but the plot was rubbish. With the omission of Quidditch and that wonderful stunner scene, I wasted $8 at the theaters to get myself pissed off.
In all, I would be looking forward to the next two films, but if the reviews and after reading the plot on wikipedia reveals that lots of stuff would be cut, I would not be wasting $8 to watch it. I rather download them. =)

Well, now that the HBP is coming out really soon in Summer of 2009 (why do this to us??). I can't wait, because if they put that whole scene after Min takes Harry to Dumbledore's her office, then hopefully Maggie will prove to all of us MM/AD fans how much Minerva loved him....even though he's dead now. *sob* And ... there's probably more, like his funeral ... that'll prove that Maggie believes the MM/AD love, even if JKR doesn't. ;D
