I always loved Richard Harris' voice (although not always his characters...he sure played some rotten buggers at times) in his films. Alan Rickman's voice is just waaaaaaaay secksay; he could do a CD called "Alan Rickman reads the dictionary in his Severus Snape voice" and I would probably buy it! ;D
He and Hugh Laurie are just a pair of "Mr. Sexypants" dudes. IMO.

*Character*, I'd say Bill Weasley, but that wasn't an option. Actor, when *not* in character--Alan Rickman, definitely. But I am evidently the one female in the universe, other than JKR, who does not find the *character* of SS, as written in canon, at all sexy. Actor in character--Oliver Wood, if judging solely on physical appearance. Blend of personality and aesthetics, hmm....either Harry or James Potter.
Okay, I have odd, and nuanced <g> tastes.

Sorry, But I had to say Cedric. ahh..my darling cedric. yea, he is kind of completely amazingly hot. but alan rickman has the voice. so i suppose that they are kinda tied in my eyes. ...which is rather sick and twisted of me seeing as alan could be cedric's grandfather... |

Definitely Cedric Diggory for me; that boy is just gorgeous. Though Oliver Wood is awfully hot as well. A trribly hard decision but Cedric for me.
The hottest guy in history for me though is Sean Kahan ... come back to 'The Bold and the Beautiful' ... lol

However, to stay true to my older-man tendency, I must emphatically go with GARY OLDMAN (yes, haha, pun). The man drives me wild, and I don't even like Sirius that much.

Alan is hot, especially his voice  . I didn't know I is 62 already. I thought he is in his mid 50's. I've seen him in Robin Hood with Kevin Costner recently. |

Hehe. Well, since I'm not attracted to men in a romantic way myself, I don't think I can answer this question properly. However, if I had to choose, my vote would go to Severus Snape. I just find him so dark and intriguing. And he's the only man I would ever consider pairing Minerva with besides Albus. I also ship him with Hermione, Hooch, and occasionally Poppy. Snape is awesome. |

"None of the above" should have been an option. Also, a number of them are boys, not men, so maybe there should have been a separate poll for the teens. I don't find kids "hot." As for the others, in my mind's eye, I don't see some of the characters as the actors who portray them, though if only considering the actors in those roles, I'd still have to say that "none of the above" would be my choice. I think some of the actors are quite sexy, but the characters aren't particularly (I'm thinking of a couple in particular), and then there are a couple characters who I think have great "hotness" potential and the actors portraying them do nothing for me.
I am puzzled by the absence of two HP wizards: Albus Dumbledore (I'd go for the Richard Harris version and upchuck vomit spew, um, sorry, turn down the other version), and Remus Lupin (I forget who plays him -- he's one of the characters who I think is a lot sexier than the actor portraying him, although whoever he is, he's not bad).
If I had to pick the cutest boy wizard in the movies, I think I'd go for Oliver Wood.
Hottest adult wizard in the movie, well, despite age & illness, Richard Harris still had enough charisma to power a supernova.
As for the actors themselves, there are a number of intensely sexy men in the HP movies, even when the characters they're playing aren't sexy at all. And sometimes, an actor comes across sexy in certain roles, then you see them in an interview and think, "how could he play dead sexy when he's so . . . unattractive in real life? Strange!" LOL!
