What Do You Think?

Okay, so I have this general idea of what I want for a new fic. No worries, everyone who is reading my other stuff... I won't actually start it until I finish at least one or two of my other stories. But I just wanted to see how well received this idea might be.

Okay now I was listening to the Moulin Rouge cd with my friend the other day and I was listening to that song "El Tango de Roxanne"... And it got to that part where Ewan McGreagor is singing "His eyes upon your face.... His hand upon your hand... His lips caress your skin.... It's moooore than IIII can staaand! Why does my heart fight.. Feelings I can't fight... You're afraid to leave me but just don't deceive me and please... Believe me when I say I love you..."

Okay, so I was thinking... Wouldn't that make an awesome fic? Like I have several ideas of where this would go, ie it could be in the Grindlewald era, or somewhere between Grindlewald and Voldemort... But the basic concept is that Minerva has to sleep with someone for whatever reason (again, not sure who and not sure why.... It is still a work in progress...), and Albus is just in a jealous fit about it, even though he knows it must be done. Basically a whole Christian/Satine situation where she has to sleep with the Duke to save the play from being rewritten and to stop the Duke from leaving the production altogether.

So, what do you think? Stupid? Bad? Brilliant? Great? Somewhere in between? Let me know....

Honestly? It sounds like there would have to be a lot of OOC going on for this to happen.

Also, the scenario itself doesn't seem very plausible. Even if someone had to sleep with someone, why, oh why, Min? And whhyyyyyyyy is there sleeping with people going on?

My advice, in a nutshell, is to go ahead but be careful. Because this could be really bad. It could also be good, but I could be really, really, really bad.

I don't Minerva would actually sleep with them; I think she'd use a nifty little memory charm etc. Like Tom Riddle did on that Gaunt fellow - modify it so they think that they slept with her.

I don't think this is a bad idea. Can I point you in the direction of this fic: Repentance www.fanfiction.net/s/2730082/1/Repentance by morgan72uk. It doesn't have Albus experiencing the jealousy as your fic would, but it does deal with Minerva having to sleep with Grindlewald - for the cause, you understand. Give it a read. It's a great story, and may prove inspirational.

Yes that is where I was kinda going with my idea. I can't read the fic right now cuz I'm running late for school, but that was my basic concept... Only Albus is like "Grr.. I know it's for the cause, but MINE!" sorta thing, you know? ~mmadlyinlove~

I think the jealousy thing is a good idea, I can see Dumbledore doing it, he seems so sulky. But I don't know how you'd work in the Min sleeping with someone else. Unless it was someone before Albus, and who she was with and AD got jealous, and that's how they realise their feelings for each other? I don't know if that's what you really had in mind though.

I think it could be a good fic, just be careful to make the Min sleeping with some randomer plausible. And I think it would be good set quite early, maybe the first war with voldermort so there are still lots of characters we know in the Order etc? Not sure if that's what you wanna do though, it's just an idea...

Well for what I had in mind, it wouldn't be some random person... She would know him..

But like I said, it is still a work in progress really,.... I don't even know if I really am gonna do it. Thanks for everyone's input.
