@ang: Wow, that costume is just brilliant. Did you make it yourself? Have wanted these robes forever. *g*

Hey!
Lisa and her mom actually made the robe for my birthday this year. I got the wand from Lisa and her husband one year for Christmas and it came from Alivan's (they're listed on mugglenet) and it's the one that is specifically for Transfiguration. The glasses are the official Minerva McGonagall ones and I won those on ebay. The hat is the official hat Minerva wore in Philosopher's Stone (the one where she's greeting the first years) and I bought that online. The broach was one that I found at Target and then glued colored gems to it to make it like Minerva's. And the dress is just a plain black dress in a few sizes bigger than what I'd normally wear to make it 'flow'.
Thanks for the compliment!

Wow! Thanks for all those compliments on the robes. They really are spectacular and Lisa and her mom did an amazing job on them. I'm truly lucky to have such a great best friend! The butterbeer is something I made for the Harry Potter party. I found the recipe online and it is as follows: 1 part butterscotch schnapps 3 parts creme soda Mix those together in a punch bowl and serve at room temperature or add a few ice cubes for a cooler drink. It really is good and so very addicting. I can see why so many people drink the stuff at Hogwarts.

[/img]I thought I'd join the fun as well. This was an awesome idea, Herzele! I don't know how well this will work, since I'm basically computer illiterate! I'll give it my best shot though. This is me with my German exchange student who came last October. I'll be going to stay with her family for a month this summer. Am very excited! Oh, I am the one on the left with the two coasters in my hands. The eyes are greenish-brown, but it doesn't look like it the picture, and my hair is kind of the color of apple cider. i9.photobucket.com/albums/a64/rhsirish/5-6-2006-1.jpg

I'll be staying in Rottweil, but also Munich for a week. It'll be my first time in Germany outside the airport, so I'm very excited. I'm so glad the link worked! I'm sure how to make the actual picture show up, so I'll just stick using links. That was the only decent photo I could find to put on a CD since I don't have a digital camera. Liz

i66.photobucket.com/albums/h257/childminerva/LoganProm.jpgThis is the best I could do...it isn't as big as it should be but I swear to you, on my computer it looks huge on this site from where I posted it before. So go to that link and see a picture with poor resolution of me from senior prom. I might have some better pictures later.
