Well, we used to have a weekly chat but it disappeared... however, I suppse we could establish a certain time per week that kind of fits everyone so if anyone wants to chat, they can come in then  . I must admit I haven't been in there for ages either. |

Eloquentphoenix I think that the different time zones does have a lot to do with it. Often when I log on I'm the only one here..

If you have Windows XP and you don't have admin rights you might not be able to use java or some other programs.

I don't seem to manage to get on the chat either, think that is because I got a new comp a few months ago and my Java settings are still a bit messed up. Will look into it soon as let you know what the problem was with mine, if I can find it :-)... maybe that helps?

Try looking up your browser settings. Go into the Tools menu, then select Internet Options. Click on the Advanced tab and scroll down til you see the word JAVA and make sure the box is checked or something similar. If you want to download Java, go to www.java.comI don't know if any of this is useful. I'm afraid Java is the easiest way to make a chatroom on here, so I'm not sure what else to do. - April :-) |

I think that we should set up twoweekly chats, Both conventant for everyone. One at a time so people who are not on this side of the world can chat, and then another. Sorry if this makes no sence.

I agree with beMMADfabulous... no one is ever in the chat. Mmm... I think the most convenient time might be at the weekends. (well, at least for me cuz I'm always at work in the middle of the week and I can only make it at night, but I guess Europe will bee fast asleep at that time)

I agree with you crystalphenioxeyes... two chats might be OK but, I'd like to speak with the people in the UK... I mean, they can ran into Emma Watson on the bus (who was the one who ACTUALLY ran into her?? I don't remember), I guess they can tell us other cool British things, don't you think?

scheduled chats would be nice...but I've jumped in and had two chats since I got the java download. I'm always on the site and I'll leave a window open while I work on other stuff on the computer so if anyone ever sees me on I'd be happy to chat.

We used to have a set chat time, it was on Sundays, I seem to remember, but I don't remember the exact time - perhaps one of the other mods does? I seem to remember it was okay for both us and people across the pond... although I must say that not all of us over here run into Emma Watson on the bus, that's just lucky people like Jem ;D. |

I have converted some of the times if that helps.
New York(Eastern time)- 1:30am
United Kingdom/Ireland- 6:30am
Colorado(Central time)- 11:30pm
Germany- 7:30am

I think 10:30 am Pacific Time is 11:30 am Mountain Time, 12:30 pm Central Time, and 1:30 pm Eastern Time. That's the continental USA and unfortunately almost all I know about time zones although I do know that it would be 7:30pm in The Netherlands. |
