A/N: Thanks for continuing to read and participate in this story. This week we were tied again with options A and B receiving 11 votes each…so everyone should be happy. This week we were sent the following objects and sentences to add to the story. Griselda wanted to see a cat as her object and the phrase, “I love that sound.” Kandie wanted a pair of purple spectacles and the phrase "Minerva, I enjoy our lovemaking more than I thought possible but I think we can achieve an even higher degree of satisfaction if we…(and we had to fill in the blank), and Dumbledore’s Kitten asked for a typewriter and our favorite Shakespeare quote. We chose “Out, out damned spot” and “Good night, good night, parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say goodnight till it be morrow.”Now, we’re asking Lady Lavender, Sensiblyquirky, Twiggilala, and Rikki to send us your objects and sentences for the next chapter as soon as possible. And here is: Informative Outings The sky was like black velvet with only the twinkling stars overhead to illuminate the night sky and the ground below. A soft winter wind whipped around the castle blowing the occasional leaves in little whirlwinds across the vast expanse of the Hogwarts grounds. That same air had managed to seep inside the castle, chasing away what little heat was given off by the dying embers in the fireplace as the two lovers lay huddled together under a blanket. Albus hated to move, even one inch, for the moment he did, Minerva would wake. Then, he would have to watch her dress and go home, leaving him with a cold bed and empty arms to fill the remainder of his night. He longed for the days when Minerva would never have to leave his arms and face the bitter cold to return to an empty house with no warmth to comfort her. Knowing how much evil there truly was lurking in the shadows of the world, he hated the mere thoughts of her going into a dark house alone. No amount of reassurance on her part would be good enough for him for she was too precious to put at risk. He was still having trouble believing Armando had denied his request to grant Minerva rooms at the castle and yet a part of him tried desperately to understand things from the Headmaster’s point of view. Minerva, once everything had been explained, had taken the decision in stride, much better than he in fact. But, little did she realize that just because the Headmaster had deemed their overnight visits inappropriate and risky, did not mean he could not plan overnight visits at her home on occasion. Armando would just have to understand how important it was to be with the woman who hung the moon and stars in the sky. A slight stirring in his arms snapped Albus from his thoughts. Bright blue eyes met sleepy green ones as Minerva nestled deeper into his arms, throwing one leg over his and kissing his chest softly as she sighed. “Mmm, you’re so warm,” she purred as his lips brushed against her forehead and his arms tightened around her naked body. He drew the blanket further around them and whispered a spell to stoke the fire, making it roar back to life with intensity. Tiny flames began to dance in the hearth creating new shadows on the walls and giving off a romantic atmosphere to the room. The flickers of light caressed Minerva’s cheeks and bare shoulders, making them glow as if he were holding an angel in his arms. “I don’t want you to go,” he spoke honestly. “I wish you could stay here and keep me warm.” “Hmm, is that all I’m good for Albus Dumbledore? Keeping you warm?” she teased. “Quite the contrary. You’re outstanding for other things as well,” he suggested with a wiggle of his eyebrows. “In fact, there are several activities at which you exceed all others, but of course I don’t need to tell you that. You should know how I feel about you by now.” “Indeed I do and I can still feel evidence of that against me now,” she answered with a smoldering voice as she pressed herself against his stiffening member. “But unfortunately, it looks like it’s late outside and the last thing I need to do is to get caught in the Deputy Headmaster’s rooms at this late hour in a state of undress. Armando would have both our heads.” “Armando should be hexed for coming between a man and his woman,” Albus answered roughly. “He is afforded the luxury of spending all his nights with the woman he loves while mine is forced to leave each night and…” “Albus, you’re starting to sound like a pouting child. He’s made his decision and while neither of us is happy with it, we must abide by his rules. After all, he is the Headmaster and he has the final say in what goes on with his staff.” “You sound as if you are relieved by his decision, Minerva.” Albus pulled back from her warmth to look deep into her face, studying it for any indication of her thoughts. “If he had granted you rooms here, would you have taken them?” “I honestly do not believe you asked me that question. Of course I would have taken them and without a moment’s hesitation. I admit I was upset earlier but that was before I understood your reasons for asking in the first place. I want to be by your side, day and night, but I also do not want you to put your job at risk for me. Armando Dippet may turn a blind eye to some things but he has specifically told us…” “He simply told us you could not move into the castle. He said nothing about overnight visits or my staying away from the castle to be with you. Minerva, I love you and I promise you we will make this work for us. I’ve never been happier than I am when you’re in my arms or just in the same room with me. You have this way of bringing out the best in me and for that I am so grateful.” “You, Albus Dumbledore, are a charmer and I should be very leery of you,” she laughed softly. “If I don’t get up from here, it will soon be morning and I have a sneaking suspicion that Armando might just pay you an early morning visit to ensure that we’re abiding by the rules.” “Unfortunately, I have to agree but I wonder what he would do if he stopped by and neither of us happened to be here. I could always say that I had been called away on an urgent matter,” Albus suggested. “Yes, and when he asks what that urgent matter happened to be?” “I’d simply tell him that I was not at liberty to say. After all, a true gentleman never divulges the intimate details of his romantic life to someone else. It’s considered rude and inconsiderate to the woman he loves.” Albus face filled with mirth as the firelight danced merrily in his eyes. “Ahh, a bad influence on me. That’s exactly what you are, love,” Minerva answered, kissing him on the tip of his nose. “Now, as much as I hate to do it, I have to get up and go home. But I will be back sooner than you think. After all, breakfast is only a few short hours away and that will give you some time to think of all the things you’d like to do with or to me later, sweetheart.” “I shall think of nothing but wonderful thoughts of you and our escapades from days and hours passed. I might even come up with a few new ways to spice up our hours together.” Minerva tried to look offended, though he could tell by the gleam in her eyes that she was merely pretending. “And you are trying to say that you’re already growing bored with me? I have ways of making you beg for my body and I do believe they worked rather well this morning in the shower, wouldn’t you? Just imagine if I tried something naughty in the presence of others…say a colleague or friend. How well do you think you could handle the situation?” "Minerva, I enjoy our lovemaking more than I thought possible but I think we can achieve an even higher degree of satisfaction if we keep it to ourselves…in private and with stronger silencing charms placed on the location. That way neither of us has to worry about getting too loud or too demanding in our little adventures.” Albus’ eyes darkened as his mind raced away with thoughts of their lovemaking. “Perhaps we could use both ideas to our advantage…the thrill of getting caught but the security of the added precautions to guard us from unwarranted interruptions. Maybe that is something we should explore…but at a later date I’m afraid.” Albus rolled Minerva onto her back and began to tickle her mercilessly as their laughter rang through the room. Cries for mercy and pleading halted his teasing only to be replaced by her warm lips covering his. “I love you but I really have to go now.” Minerva rose from the comfort and warmth of the blanket and his arms and dressed quickly. With one long kiss goodbye, she flooed to her apartment, where a new kind of chill settled over her. It was a lonely, dark house and the bed looked much the same. But, that was the price she paid for loving the Deputy Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Minerva had just shrugged off her outer robe, kicked off her shoes and was in the process of unbuttoning her blouse when a deep, sexy voice floated through the air, caressing each and every one of Minerva’s keen senses.
Goodnight, goodnight, parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say goodnight till it be morrow.
“Sorry. I wanted to make sure you arrived safely, my dear.” Albus’ face appeared in the green flames, looking every bit as handsome as Minerva had ever seen him as she reached through the floo connection to cup his cheek in her hand.
“Honestly, just when I didn’t think I could love you more, you go and do something wonderful like checking on me.” Her thumb brushed across his lips, lips she longed to feel against hers just once more before sleep claimed her but that would only lead to more kisses and touches. Then, it would be morning before she could tear herself away, defeating the entire purpose for going home in the first place. “But as much as I hate to do this, I really must say goodnight but I’ll see you bright and early in the morning.”
Shortly after daybreak, Albus was greeted with an owl from Nicholas Flamel, his dear friend and confidante. Ever since Albus had consulted Nicholas about the Christmas trip to Egypt, the older man hadn’t let Albus see a minute’s peace. He and his wife Pernelle were more than willing to help Albus with any travel or lodging issues which might arise, especially since Minerva’s parents had also been invited. Now that Minerva had agreed to go with him, it was time to set the plans in motion, which meant an overdue trip to the Flamels.
After breakfast with Minerva, Albus decided to pay his old friends an unannounced visit. He had always been welcomed into their home and owling ahead had never been a necessity. Minerva was busy getting ready for her annual outing with her mother so it was the perfect opportunity to slip away. However, as Albus neared the house, he could hear his dear friend shouting at the top of his lungs.
OUT, OUT DAMNED SPOT! Nicholas Flamel was never one to use such brash words but apparently his patience had run thin. Chuckling to himself, Albus let himself into the house, which in some ways had become a second home to him, and he found Nicholas hunched over a muggle typewriter as a string of profanities began to pour forth from the man’s lips.
“Pernelle must not be home today. Otherwise, I don’t think I’d be hearing such colorful language flowing from your lips,” Albus laughed heartily.
“Albus Dumbledore, if you so much as breathe a word to her, I’ll hex you into the next year…without your beloved Minerva by your side!” Nicholas threatened idly.
“So, what has you so upset that you would break the number one rule of the Flamel household, behind Pernelle’s back I might add?”
“I’ve found this in a muggle shop and bought it, thinking it would be a nice way of simplifying my life. I’ve had more accidents with ink and quills lately and the muggles seem to use these with little or no problems. But for some unknown reason, every sheet of paper I put into the damn thing comes out with a spot on the bloody paper! In fact, the stupid spot seems to move about and it’s driving me to drink…which is against rule number two of the Flamel household.”
“Yes, no drinking to drive away the demons…isn’t that how it goes?”
Nicholas laughed for the first time since Albus’ arrival. “Yes, something like that. Here, take a look at it for yourself and tell me if you can help an old man with his simple problem.”
Albus bent over the typewriter and removed the sheet of paper, inspecting first one side and then the other. “There’s no spot on this sheet of paper. Are you sure you’re not seeing things? I’ve heard it’s a common ailment when a wizard reaches a certain age.”
Daggers shot from Nicholas’ cold gray eyes as he stared at his friend. “All of these pages had spots, Albus. How do you explain that?”
After inspecting several bits of the balled up paper, which had been in the waste bin, Albus was puzzled until he looked at his friend once more. A pair of bright purple spectacles was perched on the end of Nicholas’ nose and right in the middle of the right lens was a tiny black ink spot.
“Here’s your problem, oh wise wizard. It seems you have dirty glasses!” A simple cleaning spell cast upon the lenses cleared away all the spots from the papers and the two old friends shared a roaring laugh.
“I have missed you dear friend.” Nicholas patted Albus on his back before leading him to the sitting room. “Now what brings you to our humble abode?”
Albus grinned, his eyes taking in the rather large room filled with treasures from the ages. A jewel encrusted mask, which was large enough that Albus could have used it as a shield, hung over the fireplace and was the centerpiece of the varied collection. However, even though their appointments were somewhat opulent, the couple residing within were anything but pretentious. In fact, Albus had never met a couple more down-to-earth and so willing to give of themselves to others.
“I thought it was time that I paid a visit. And I was also hoping to discuss the travel plans for Christmas.” Albus took the offered seat and sunk slightly into the soft fabric of the winged-back chair. As he settled in, a large white ball of fun jumped on his lap purring loudly. He tickled under the cat’s chin, calling a soft greeting to the Flamel’s old feline.
“Yes, the highly anticipated trip. Pernelle was thrilled that Minerva had agreed and has already started to pester me about spending the holiday with you, if you are agreeable to it of course. She is very eager to meet your lovely lady and her family.”
Albus chuckled. “You know that the two of you are more than welcome to join us. But don’t you usually spend the holiday in Greece?”
Albus was a bit surprised but figured he should have been expecting it. Pernelle had been after Albus to settle down for countless years now and he had received more than one owl stating that she was looking forward to meeting his new companion. The notes had been heavily laden with hints that he should bring her for a visit but their schedules had been so busy, he had yet to find a time that he could take Minerva away for a weekend. After all, the potion required daily monitoring and Albus would never convince her that another person was more than capable of watching it for them.
“You are quite right. However, this year she has announced that Greece can wait.”
The men gave each other knowing looks. Pernelle’s announcements were usually law and left little choice to those who were included in them.
A moment later a tea set appeared on the low table between them and Albus poured a cup of tea for each of them before broaching the next topic. “I was hoping you could tell me which hotel you think is the best in the area so I can go ahead and make our reservations. And any recommendations for some good restaurants would also be greatly appreciated.”
“Nonsense!”
Albus was taken aback for a moment, not understanding what Nicholas was referring to. “What is nonsense?”
“You shall not stay at a hotel. We have a perfectly good house that you and your guests are more than welcome to stay at. Pernelle planned on inviting you to stay there anyway and now with us going…well she won’t hear of you staying in a hotel.”
Albus while not surprised at the invitation was certainly flattered. Especially since he knew the care Pernelle went through for guests. “We would be honored to stay with you although I should probably speak with her parents on the matter. Please tell Pernelle that her invitation is most appreciated but that she does not need to go to any trouble for us.”
“Ha! How long have we known you Albus? Well over fifty years if I am remembering correctly. And can you recall a time when Pernelle has not gone above and beyond. It is simply her way.”
Albus leaned back, a smile on his face. “I was also hoping you could make the arrangements for Minerva and I to visit the scrolls of Alexandria. I haven’t told her of the visit yet, I thought it might be a great surprise.”
“She must truly be a woman of your heart if a trip to see some dusty scrolls is her idea of a wonderful surprise.” Nicholas laughed at the expression on Albus’ face. Part of what had brought Nicholas and Albus together years ago was their love of learning. They had worked together on many projects and had found a vast amount of common ground from which they built a lasting friendship. If Minerva was as dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge as she appeared in Nicholas’ correspondence and flooed conversations with her, he was certain that Albus would find no one better with whom to spend his life. After all, she was beautiful, courteous, funny and most importantly very in love with his friend. “I will do as you ask. It should not be a problem and I will owl you with the results as soon as I hear.”

Albus put his cup down as he heard a beautiful song fill the air. It made his heart beat faster and his pulse quicken. His gaze was drawn to the beautiful carving of two women whose delicate features were enchanting. The song stopped after only a few short moments and Albus’ eyes sought out Nicholas.
“I love that sound.” It took a moment for Nicholas to come back to the present and Albus waited patiently. “One hundred years. That is how long it has taken me to convince Pernelle to allow me hang that piece on the wall. I charmed it to work as a sort of clock so I would not forget the time as I am want to do.”
“However did you come by the Siren’s song?” Albus’ eyes were wide with curiousity.
“Oh, an old friend had it in his collection. It had been trapped in a potion and I used part of it on this statue. It was a representation of the sisters before they were transformed. Unfortunately, this means that I am due for a meeting in a short while.”
The two men stood and clasped hands. “Thank you for coming by, Pernelle will be upset that she missed you.”
“Please wish her my best.”
“And you do the same for Minerva. We will very much enjoy seeing her and her family in only a few short months.”
Albus grinned, his thought straying to his lioness. “One other thing Nicholas, can you please owl me the contact information for your jeweler. I know he is the best and I have a request to make of him.”
“Really, what kind of request?” Nicholas’ interest was sparked and it showed by the light in his eyes.
“I believe it is time for me to find the perfect ring.” The words left Albus’ mouth surprising him as much as it did the wizard across from him.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Minerva turned her head to the right, her eyes meeting those of her mother. They were both lying face down as two witches from the spa coaxed the tight muscles in their backs to relax.
“I think it is only a matter of time. And if I had to guess, I would say before the end of the school year.” Athena winked at her daughter as Minerva rolled her eyes.
“Mother, as I have told you before, we are taking things slowly. We love each other but there is no reason to rush things…”
“You won’t scare him away.”
Minerva’s eyes narrowed, her lips pursing in a disagreeable way. “What do you mean by that?”
“Only that if you push things or bring up marriage that you won’t scare him away. I think he is in this for the long haul. And your Aunt Vive agrees.”
Minerva made a move as if to push up but the young witch working on her forcibly held her shoulders down. “Please Ms. McGonagall, if you would just relax…”
Athena laughed delightedly while her highly irritated daughter glared daggers in her direction. “Okay, okay, I will stop the pestering...for now.”
The massage was soon over, much too soon for Minerva as she had been tense for much of it due to her mother’s interference. She knew she only meant well but it didn’t keep Minerva from getting frustrated at all the advice being thrown her way. However, her mother had given her some ideas to think on. There was no reason Minerva could not bring up their future. She didn’t even know if he wanted children and considering she had always thought about having a big family…well, maybe it was time they talked about it.
“Are you ready to be made a new witch, my daughter?” Athena’s eyes sparkled with mischief as she looked at her only baby.
“Hmmm, I still don’t know how you talked me into this. For years I have been able to resist the whole spa thing on our day and this year I relent. I really don’t know what I was thinking.”
“Oh come, come. You will love the facial and really the hair is only a charm so there is no harm in that.” Athena followed one of the witches from the spa out of the room, Minerva following reluctantly behind her.
A facial, manicure and pedicure later and Minerva was hooked. The heavenly scented oils and steam, the soaking and the lotions were all divine but when the woman had massaged her head, well what cat would be able to resist. Her skin was now so soft and her body was entirely relaxed. She knew she was hooked. And why hadn’t she tried it before, all those years ago when her mom had suggested it? It must be the McGonagall stubbornness, blame for which she planned to place solely on her father.
However, as she sat in the chair indicated by the witch who would charm her hair, Minerva became nervous. She could hear her mother’s laughter from another part of the salon and tried to hold back the fear that was taking hold. She had never shortened her hair, charmed or otherwise, since she had been at Hogwarts and she was nervous.
“Oh good, I didn’t miss it.”
Minerva’s mouth fell open as she watched her mother approach. “Mother?”
Athena smiled then twirled for her daughter. “What do you think?”
Athena’s long blonde hair had been transformed into auburn colored waves which fell to just below her shoulders. Minerva was in shock, her mother was beautiful. Well she was always beautiful but the red hair was a very becoming color on her. “Wow! You look fantastic. Dad is going to love it!”
“Yes, I think he just might. I am actually considering doing this more permanently. The charm wears off within 48 hours, plenty of time to make a decision. Now, what are you going to do with your hair?”
Minerva looked from her mother to the witch standing by to place the charm to herself. She honestly didn’t know what to do. Granted the charm only lasted a short time but it was still her hair. What if something went wrong and it changed permanently. Could she really trust a witch she didn’t know to mess with her most prized possession?
Athena, detecting that her daughter was close to backing out, leaped in with her own ideas before she could change her mind. “I think you should keep the same color but shorten the length to a bob. Oh and I always wanted to see you with some feathery bangs.”
The witch started casting before Minerva could stop her and covering her eyes with her hands, Minerva waited for the tingling on her head to stop.
“Oh Minerva you look beautiful.”
“It is most becoming on you Ms. McGonagall.”
Minerva slowly peaked out and gasped at the shortness of her hair. It swung above her shoulders as she turned her head from side to side. Putting her hands in her lap, she really studied it. She didn’t hate it, in fact it made her feel sexy. With a smile on her face, Minerva turned to the two expectant witches. “I like it.”
Athena beamed, knowing for her daughter that was high praise. “Good, now I am starving so what do you say to getting a bite to eat?”
Minerva acquiesced, her stomach rumbling in agreement. Mother and daughter made their way to a small but popular lunch spot off the main strip of shops. It was run by an older couple who had been there for years and were familiar with the McGonagall family. Soon the pair had a veritable feast set before them. As they dug into the delicious looking food, Athena brought up the trip to Egypt.
“So am I to assume that the two of you will be sharing a room this Christmas?”
Minerva nearly choked on her food and had to take several moments to recompose herself before she could answer. “Yes, not that it is any of your business.”
“Now Minerva is that any way to talk to your mother?”
“You are right, I apologize. But you could have prefaced your comment so I didn’t nearly die from inhaling my sandwich.” Minerva’s face had become faint pink in color as the conversation continued.
“Perhaps but with prior warning I might not have gotten the truth. I suppose it wouldn’t have mattered, I would have found out soon enough. Anyway, your Dad and I had thought as much anyway.”
Minerva felt the heat in her face intensify and spread to the roots of her hair. “You and Dad have talked about my…my sex life?” Minerva whispered as she leaned forward so the other patrons wouldn’t overhear.
“Oh nothing too serious but he asked and I told him what I thought. Don’t worry! He really likes Albus. However, if he doesn’t make an honest woman of you then I can’t promise what will happen.”
“Just perfect! I can tell this is going to be a Christmas to remember.” Minerva sighed, her thoughts drifting to the holidays and the problems that could arise.
Options for this week:
A) Headmaster Dippet’s health take a turn for the worse forcing Albus to spend more of his time on official duties.
B) Halloween has arrived and Minerva decides to celebrate with Albus at Hogwarts. The dance night brings about some unexpected results, mainly one very tipsy tabby.
Voting ends on September 9th.

A/N: Another week and another update! Thanks to everyone who voted and reviewed. You are the reason this story is still going and we appreciate your contributions, whether they be object/sentences, reviews or just plain votes. And speaking of votes…there were 21 votes for B and 1 for A. Sorry Miss Q…looks like you were slightly outnumbered. This week Lady Lavender wanted to see a baby doll and the phrase “I wonder when I get to have one of those." Rikki wanted a horseback ride and Sensiblyquirky wanted an old love letter and the phrase “I’m simply irresistible.” And this week we’re asking Kalex, Adrasteia, Toe Expert, and Arabella Figgs to send us one object and one sentence for inclusion in the next chapter. Teasingly Tantalizing Tabby Minerva’s arm flung across the bed as she turned over and hit a soft lump. The lump started to move and a muffled roar reached her ears. A small smile crept across her face and as her eyes opened, a mischievous glint was evident in her gaze. She pulled back the covers and a small stuffed lion lay half covered by the pillow Albus usually used when he visited on the weekends. She picked it up and gave it a kiss before placing it safely on the nightstand as she detangled herself from the sheets. Last night had been amazing. She had returned to her apartment to find Albus sitting by her fireplace, the flames the only thing keeping him warm. They had shared some of his homemade chocolate cake before diving into other activities. He had liked her hair. He had really liked her hair. Not that he wanted it to remain short, but the change had brought out a side of him she hoped to see a bit more often. Of course, the leather bustier and red lipstick had probably helped things along. She flushed even now as she remembered how her mother had scoffed at the frilly silk and lace items she had picked out at the clothier. Oh she agreed that they had their time and place but she had stoutly led Minerva to a display of leather items and had handed her the raciest thing on the rack. Minerva had grudgingly tried it on but even she could see the benefits of the way it hugged her body and accentuated certain areas. And in combination with her new hair, she decided it was well worth the exorbitant price. Her instincts had proven correct. And as she padded across the floor toward the bathroom, the slight soreness between her legs attested to the fact. She stopped in front of the mirror and had to do a double take at the woman staring back at her. She still wasn’t used to seeing herself this way. The short hair made her features sharper and her neck longer. She practically radiated sex, her lips still slightly bruised from the night before causing them to look pouty. Minerva brushed her teeth, aware that the morning was slipping away while she was lost in thought. She had a potion to move this morning and needed to be early to make sure everything was in place. Thoughts of the potion led to thoughts of their research. She wondered what would happen when they both took the potion and cast the charm. It was a bit unnerving to think that her thoughts, all of them, would be revealed to anyone. The fact that it was Albus, the man she trusted with her heart and life, was the only saving grace. But still, a niggling bit of doubt was etched into the back of her mind, eating away and causing her nerves to flare for a moment. Her thoughts fled as a burst of cold water spiked across her skin. She shivered as the shower started to warm and she reached for her favorite shampoo. Now was not the time to pay attention to her small fears of the future. She took a couple of deep breaths and concentrated on the now warm water as it pounded on the muscles of her back. She had work to do and she didn’t intend for it to wait long. Minerva smiled at a passing student she recognized from her time teaching Albus’ class. She had just left him at the door to his classroom after a very nice lunch in the Great Hall and was on her way to the research room. The potion transfer had been successful that morning and Minerva felt like she was floating on a cloud. Their work was finally producing results. All the hours of reading and researching, the monotonous chopping and crushing to make the potion all felt worth every second when the cauldron had reached the light of the meditation room and the light purple concoction had sparkled as if in thanks. She was so consumed with her thoughts that she nearly missed the slight sound of a girl crying down a side corridor. Her tear filled voice reached Minerva’s ears. “Stop hurting her!” Minerva felt her heart constrict as a jolt of fear shot down her spine. Her feet seemed to lead the way as she backtracked her steps, intent on finding out what was happening as quickly as possible. Her search yielded a surprising sight and one that caused her to finally exhale the breath she had been holding. With a stern look on her face, she approached the group of boys who were throwing a baby doll in the air over the head of a stricken looking first year Hufflepuff. “What may I ask is going on here?” All activity stopped at her approach and a blonde Slytherin with a pinched expression stashed the doll behind his back. The girl was quick to rush to her side as she started to explain the scene before her. “They took my doll and won’t give it back.” Minerva wasted no time in giving each culprit a piercing look. “You will return the doll, Mr…?” The blonde did not look surprised to see her eyes on him and he struck a casual stance against the wall. “Malfoy.” Minerva put her hand out and with surprising grace, the thin boy sprung at her and placed the doll in her hand. The quick action startled her causing her to jump and the smug smile of satisfaction on his face made Minerva’s temper boil. She handed the pretty doll back to the girl and watched as the boys headed away without being dismissed. “Fifty points from Slytherin, Mr. Malfoy.” Her voice stopped him in his tracks. He spun around, his eyes blazing. “You can’t deduct house points. You aren’t even a professor, just Dumbledore’s whore.” “You don’t know what I can do.” Minerva’s voice was icy as she stared at the group. Only Malfoy had the audacity to look her in the eyes. “And that will be an additional fifty points from your house. If you know what is good for you, you will leave now before I wipe out everything you have earned so far this year.” The blonde looked ready to strike again but changed his mind at the last moment and turned away signaling for the others to follow. Minerva sighed in relief. She would need to speak to Albus about the house points because she intended to keep her word. And after the scene, she did not want Mr. Malfoy to find out that he was correct. She could not take away house points, at least she never had been told she could, which meant she also hadn’t been told she couldn’t. “Thank you Ms. McGonagall. Abraxas and his friends can be very mean at times. My mother gave me Madeline, my doll, before she passed away last summer and I didn’t want anything to happen to her.” Minerva’s heart broke for the poor child. “If you would like I can show you a protective charm that would allow only you or someone you give permission to, to touch the doll.” “That would be wonderful,” she squealed. The small Hufflepuff’s look of pure joy caused all the tension in Minerva to melt away. An hour later, Minerva had finally made it to the research room. She had decided to go to Armando directly to inquire about the point deduction once the girl’s doll had been properly charmed. And after hearing what had happened, he had agreed to adjust Slytherin’s points and included a week’s detention for Malfoy, which he felt was appropriate for the offensive language the boy had used. Upon leaving his office, Minerva could tell the Headmaster was still upset about Malfoy’s comment and his apologies for the student’s behavior followed her to the landing outside his office. Realizing she was still standing in the hall, she uttered the password and went through the door, her mind still on the scene that had unfolded not to far away. “It is about time!” A familiar voice met Minerva’s ears and a smile spread across her face. “Maggie, what are you doing here?”

The two witches hugged before parting to take seats by the fireplace which was crackling merrily. “What kind of question is that for your best friend, especially since I haven’t seen you in ages?”
Minerva squirmed in her chair, her eyes filled with guilt. “I am so sorry Maggie. I keep meaning to stop by. The owls just aren’t enough…”
“Now, now, I didn’t come by to scold you. I could have sent a howler to do that.” The smile on Maggie’s face relieved Minerva’s doubts and she smiled back while pouring herself a cup of tea.
“How have you and Stephen been?”
Maggie’s eyes glazed over as she talked about the newest developments in her relationship with Stephen. She had met his parents a few weeks ago. They were nice, very proper but had approved of his selection in her. They had talked about marriage, kids and their dreams for the future. And Minerva finally had to admit that her friend was truly in love.
“It sounds like the two of you have had a whirlwind courtship right out of a fairy tale.”
Maggie laughed, the sound delightful and robust. “I wouldn’t go quite that far. We have had our problems but for the most part we have worked them out. Although the love letter is still an issue.”
“A love letter?” Minerva’s interest was piqued.
“Stephen found an old love letter which had been written to me by James, you know the one from the greenhouse.” At her friend’s nod indicating she remembered, Maggie continued. “Well, he just became so jealous and we had a row. A rather bad one actually. And there is still a bit of tension over it. But in time, he will get over himself. He tends to get serious about things but always eases up eventually.”
Minerva had her doubts but kept quiet and was soon sharing her own stories about her time with Albus. She had Maggie laughing at some of their antics and sighing over their romantic nights. It was a welcomed break from the day and Minerva found herself sharing the incident with the Slytherin students with her friend.
“You know how Slytherins can be Minerva. I am sure he doesn’t know anything about your relationship with Albus and was just goading you. As a Slytherin myself, I feel confident in saying we are more hot air than anything.”
“Indeed.”
Both Maggie and Minerva turned to see Albus standing in the doorway, his countenance resembling that of a thundercloud. Minerva glanced at the clock on the table and realized that hours had flown by without her realizing it.
“Look at the time; I suppose I need to be getting back. Stephen and I have a date planned and I need to get ready.” Maggie stood and nodded to her friends. “Thank you for letting me in Albus. Let’s plan on getting together soon.” With a wave Maggie had stepped into the fireplace and flooed to her apartment.
Glaring at the flames as if blaming them for her friend’s quick departure, she turned to face Albus’ furious look on her own.
“Is there something you wish to tell me?”
Minerva looked up in shock. His voice sliced through her, causing her to feel like a child. She didn’t answer right away, her anger at his accusatory tone building. “Perhaps.”
“What do you mean perhaps! I have to hear from the Headmaster that my love has been called a whore by one of my students and all you can say is perhaps,” Albus exploded.
Minerva had never seen him this angry and it both frightened and awed her. However, her temper was nothing to trifle with either and she was not about to let him get away with his tone or actions. “And it is all the answer you will get until you control your outburst.”
“You should have told me right away!” Albus stormed over to the fireplace, brushing past Minerva.
Exasperated, Minerva threw her hands into the air. “What was I supposed to do Albus, pull you out of class and declare that a sixteen year old boy had insulted me and I wanted you to challenge him to a duel to defend my honor?”
“Of course not. But I would have liked to have heard it from you rather than Armando.” Albus ran his hand through his hair and looked down at the flames. His tone quieted.
“It was never a question of not telling you Albus. He just got to you first.” Minerva’s voice had gone soft. She could see the hurt and worry in his stance and tone.
“I am so sorry, Minerva. I should not be taking my anger at Abraxas’ words out on you.” Albus came to her then and put his arms around her, holding her tight.
“You’re right, you shouldn’t. But I forgive you.” Minerva’s lips met his and she sighed as the warm tingling feeling spread through her body. Breaking away, she asked for the details. “What did Armando have to say?”
Albus related how he had been summoned to the Headmaster’s office and had been given the details when Armando realized he didn’t know. He had gone on to tell him that he had pulled Mr. Malfoy out of class to inform him of his detention and was given a lecture on manners by the Headmaster. Armando had been relatively at ease as it became quite obvious that Abraxas had struck out at Minerva out of spite and not out of any real knowledge of her relationship with Albus and the time she spent at the school. “And best of all, Armando granted my request to have Abraxas’ detentions served with me.”
Albus looked quite pleased with himself and Minerva had to laugh. “I hope you have him scrubbing the floor with a toothbrush.”
“My dear, I plan to do much worse than that!”
The rest of the week passed in a flurry of activities, both school related and personal for both Albus and Minerva. The students were more rambunctious with the upcoming Halloween ball scheduled for Friday evening and even the adults seemed to be looking forward to the gathering this year, so much so that the closer it came to Friday, the slower the hours ticked by. But, after an exhausting week the appointed day arrived and none were happier than the students and Albus Dumbledore, except of course the house elves.
The unique smell of cinnamon and spices hung heavy in the air as the house elves worked frantically in the kitchens to prepare everything for the Halloween dance at Hogwarts. Each year it was the same thing. Dozens and dozens of pies, cookies, snacks and of course the punch were required to feed the students who never seemed to get their fill of the treats. But the house elves never were one to complain and it brought smiles to the faces of those they strived so hard to please.
Miles and miles away, a similar feeling was overshadowing Minerva McGonagall. Even as a student, she had never been one for the dances at Hogwarts. She attended mainly because it was expected of her or she was forced to attend for one reason or another. But this year was completely different. This year she had readily agreed to go because she understood how much it would mean to Albus and his smile could melt away any reservations she had about anything.
Albus had promised to meet Minerva at her apartment promptly at seven thirty in the evening so that they could make an entrance into the Great Hall together. In truth, Albus wanted to spend a few moments alone with her before having to share his time and attention between his date and his charges.
“You’re not wearing that are you old man?” an unnamed portrait asked as Albus walked passed him towards the doors. Albus looked down at his robes. They were a very muted orange color but the real fascination to them was the tiny black spiders crawling all over the fabric.
“And what’s wrong with them? They’re festive and certainly entertaining,” Albus offered.
“Yes they are…ahem…interesting. But I doubt the lovely woman I’ve seen you escorting down the hallways late at night would appreciate snuggling up to you with tiny spiders running rampant over your clothes.”

Albus grinned at the comments Minerva might make as he arrived at her door wearing the outlandish robes. “Perhaps you’re right. I can’t ask her to feel comfortable in my embrace if she’s terrified of spiders. I never thought of that.” With a hearty thanks, Albus dashed back to his rooms to change once more into a more sedate set of robes, ones which Minerva might find more pleasing than his original choice.
Feeling he had lost valuable time with Minerva, Albus darted across the Hogwarts lawn to the apparition point and within seconds he was knocking on Minerva’s door. His breath was stolen from his lungs and his voice no longer worked as he drank in the intoxicating sight of his beloved Minerva. When she first opened the door leading into her apartment, Albus had expected to see her in a nice set of dress robes, ones perhaps he had seen on one of their many dates. But he was more than thrilled with the vision he saw before him.
Minerva had gone shopping soon after Albus asked her to accompany him and with the help of an overzealous sales clerk, she had chosen a set of simple black robes. But on Minerva’s shapely figure, the smooth fabric was transformed into a sight to behold. The swell of her breasts and the curve of her hips were accentuated perfectly, making Albus mouth go dry instantly as he imagined peeling away the offending garment and replacing the black cloth with his hands and mouth. The long tapered sleeves showcased Minerva’s slender arms and dainty fingers as the jagged edges came to a perfect point in the center of her hand, creating the ideal attire for the evening.
Based on the glazed expression of his blue eyes, Minerva could tell Albus was pleased with her choice and she practically beamed with pride as he surveyed her slender frame. “You, my dear, are a vision to behold. You look amazing,” Albus managed to compliment once he found his voice, though it was a bit shaky. His body had noticed the goddess standing before him and had already begun to stiffen as his mind raced away with all sorts of naughty thoughts and images.
“Albus, love, my face is up here,” she giggled as she placed her finger beneath his chin and lifted his gaze from her breasts to her eyes.
“Indeed it is and such a beautiful face it is too,” was his humble reply as he pressed his lips gently to hers. Minerva’s arms came around his neck and pulled him into her apartment as Albus kicked the door closed and his long arms wrapped around her body. His deep moan reverberated through her body as his hands began to wander with definite purpose towards her bottom to give it a playful squeeze, pressing her against his stiffening member.
“Mmmm, Albus…we should…ohhh…really be go..ing…” Minerva struggled desperately to say as his lips blazed a heated trail across her jawline and down to the hollow of her throat. Though Minerva realized the need to stop things before they really began, her body and her heart were telling her something different as she pressed herself into him and her hand cradled his head to a particularly sensitive spot at the top of her cleavage. But with a surge of willpower, Minerva was finally able to convince Albus that they needed to at least make an appearance at the dance before he came back to ravish her body completely.
With a light hearted chuckle and one last lingering kiss for the road, Albus grabbed her hand tightly and used the portkey he had arranged to take them to the gates of the school, where another, more romantic surprise awaited.
“I know it’s a bit unusual but I thought we could cross the grounds tonight in a more romantic way,” Albus beamed.
“Albus, I am not riding on that old broomstick of yours tonight. I…”
“Ah, but I thought you enjoyed my broomstick rides, my dear. In fact, I believe you have initiated quite a few of them in recent weeks,” he added with a chuckle.
Minerva giggled and slapped his arm playfully. “You know full well which broomstick to which I am referring and furthermore I do not now nor have I ever referred to our adventures as broomstick rides…tricks done with your mighty and talented wand…yes…but never a broomstick.”
“Well no matter because this has nothing to do with that, though I do get to hold you close.” Albus whistled and before Minerva could ask her question, a large white horse pranced up to them. “This is my horse, Chloe. I asked her to take us on a horseback ride to the school tonight, since it’s such a lovely evening. I thought I could hold you tightly as she meanders around the grounds before taking us right up to the doors.”
Minerva spun around in Albus’ arms and kissed him soundly, drawing the very breath from his lungs. “You are amazing and I am such a lucky witch to have you in my life!” Minerva extended her hand to Chloe, who affectionately bumped her head against Minerva’s hand. “And Chloe is beautiful. She’s like every little girls’ dream, Albus.”
“Then she can be our dream horse and maybe one Saturday we can take a much longer ride on Chloe. Right now, though, we need to head up to the school, especially if she’s going to take us on the scenic route,” he chuckled.
By the time they arrived inside, the dance was already in full swing with a live band playing the latest wizarding music of the age. A group of young Gryffindor girls were standing in one corner of the room and when Albus appeared, Minerva noted how they burst into fits of giggles. She could remember feeling much the same way when she was their age, swooning over the most handsome males of her time, though she would be hard pressed to admit it.
“Seems you have a following, my lion,” she teased as her head inclined towards the doorway and the young girls watching Albus intently with their gazes.
“Yes. What can I say? I’m simply irresistible.”
“Indeed you are, love. I have to agree.” Minerva smiled up at him and winked as she tightened her hold on his arm.
“Ha! If that were the case, we wouldn’t be here at the Halloween dance but instead we’d be making love in your living room, clothes strewn all over the furniture and the dance long forgotten.”
“Patience sweetheart. Good things come to those who wait and I can assure you that if you wait until this night is over, you won’t be disappointed,” she teased. With a wiggle of his eyebrows and a glint in his eyes, Albus looped his arms around her tiny waist and pulled her to the dance floor, as several of his colleagues stared jealously at the older wizard and his much younger date.
After several dances, some slow and some faster in nature, Minerva was parched. Albus, being the true gentleman, led her over to the refreshment table where they were promptly handed glasses of punch. Before Albus could take his first sip of the drink, Armando Dippet pulled him away from Minerva and she was besieged by two of the female staff members.
It took Albus nearly an hour to make his way back to Minerva. He had caught her eye several times with two of his colleagues, both women having made unwanted advances towards him in the not so distant past. His mind shuddered with the memories of having been nearly assaulted by the lust driven women and he couldn’t help but worry what they wanted with Minerva. But she seemed to be smiling merrily in his direction, each time raising her glass as if in silent toast to him.
Albus was in the middle of a conversation with the Care of Magical Creatures professor when a pair of familiar arms wound around his middle, drawing him back into her body. Minerva’s hands, however, did not stay still but instead began toying with the buttons on his robes. Thinking she was merely trying to tease him with her touch, Albus felt a surge of desire run through his body before he remembered exactly where he was.
“I think you need a dance, my dear. I have neglected you for far too long,” he suggested, placing a kiss to her cheek and making his excuses to his friend.
Minerva snuggled into Albus’ arms, her head resting on his shoulder. Her breath was warm as it blew across his neck, causing shivers to dance down his spine to settle in his pants. “Min, we’ll leave in a little while. Armando asked me to stay at least until eleven. By then, most of the students will have left the dance and then we can go back to your house.” He did not miss the faint smell of firewhisky on her breath but assumed she had taken a nip with his colleagues, a thought which caused him worry.
“Hmm, I quite like it here,” she mumbled as her lips found his ear in the darkened room and giving it a nibble.

“Yes, I like it when you’re there too but…oh my dear…umm, we’re in public.”
She giggled into his neck while her hands gripped his shoulders tightly. “And what’s so wrong about showing you how I feel in public? Can’t a woman show what she’s feeling for the man who can do such wonderful things with his tongue and his…wand?” Minerva put added emphasis on the word wand as she stood on her tiptoes to nip at Albus’ lips.
“Minerva, please…what’s gotten into you my dear?” he said pushing her back a little from his aching body. “Believe me, it’s not that I don’t enjoy your advances but perhaps we need to get you seated for a bit.” He looped her arm through his and for the first time, he noted how she unsteady she was on her feet. Leading her carefully through the mass of people on the dance floor, he escorted her to a quiet table in a corner of the room and helped her to her seat.
“I saw you speaking with Professor Winters and Professor Donaldson. Care to tell me what they wanted with my lovely lady?”
“Oh just the usual girl stuff, I suppose,” she giggled and hiccupped. “They were telling me all about how you love to wine and dine women, getting from them the joys of life, before moving on to the next conquest. They were warning me of your charm and seductive ways as if they were afraid I might get hurt by you in the very near future.” Minerva laid her head on his shoulder and laughed again. “I told them I didn’t think I had anything worry about because I have been able to completely exhaust you on more than one occasion.”
Albus turned a brilliant shade of red as images from their lovemaking flashed before his eyes. “Minerva, you didn’t tell them that, did you?” A nod of her head against his shoulder caused Albus’ stomach to form knots.
“I also told them how you love to bury your face in my breasts as your fingers work their magic on my…”
“Albus! What are you doing keeping this beautiful woman hidden in a corner,” Professor Gregory asked, much to the relief of Albus. He feared what Minerva would have said if the handsome professor had not interrupted.
“He seemed to think I needed a bit of a rest,” Minerva answered. “I have been chatting with his colleagues and he wanted to know all of the sordid details of our girlish conversation. Isn’t that right, my proud lion?”
Professor Gregory winked at Albus and looked into Minerva’s glassy eyes. “Seems your lion is just a bit embarrassed, Miss McGonagall and it would appear that our women friends were less than honorable when it came to you. By chance did they fill up your glass as you were talking to them?”
Minerva nodded her head fiercely, “and it tasted divine. They said it was a special spice punch for the faculty and I have to admit that it left me with a warm, tingling feeling all over.”
Albus had not been paying much attention to Minerva once Professor Gregory walked up to their table so he was a bit surprised when he felt Minerva’s hand rest lazily on his thigh. It was a real struggle to keep his emotions in check as her hand began to move slowly up his leg, towards his stirring member. Several times he shifted in his seat as her hand grew nearer and nearer to her goal but when contact was finally made, Albus nearly gasped out loud.
As Minerva continued to talk freely with the professor, her hand was working magic below the table. She had managed to grasp Albus hardening member through his robes and using firm yet gentle strokes she was driving him closer and closer towards losing control. His eyes had even fluttered closed as she teased the tip through the fabric of his robes, leaving him nearly breathless as he struggled to remain in control of his emotions.
Albus’ hand dropped from the tabletop to cover Minerva’s but he soon realized what a mistake that was. As soon as his hand touched hers, the familiar spark which so often passed between them sent jolts of excitement through him and her hand stopped in mid stroke, stopping just as her dainty hand neared the sensitive head. The only part of her hand she was able to move was her fingertips but to his body, that was more than enough.
If Professor Gregory suspected anything unusual about their behavior, he never let it be known. His thoughts moved rapidly from one subject to another before he made his discreet exit, in search of the two women who had spiked Minerva’s punch. With a promise to ensure that the offending witches were properly reprimanded, he bowed to Minerva, kissing her free hand and then disappeared.
“Minerva…you have…to stop…” Albus tried breathlessly to say.
Out of the corner of her eye, Minerva caught sight of a pair of seventh year Hufflepuffs locked in a rather involved kiss in the nearby shadows. “Mmmm, I wonder when I get to have one of those?” she mused aloud as she tried to move her hand once more.
“Ohh, one of what?”
“THIS!” she exclaimed as she turned in her chair and kissed Albus with a passion certain to raise his temperature more than a few degrees. Her lips pressed greedily against his, her tongue begging for entrance, and her hand still straining to move freely over his body, Albus soon lost his resolve. His mouth opened freely to her advances and before he had time to think, he gave in partially to the sexy woman trying so hard to excite him.
It took all his resolve to pry himself free from Minerva’s inviting embrace but he knew he must. If his students were to see him behaving as a hormonal teenager, they would never respect him again, nor would he ask them to…not to mention the trouble he would see at the hand of Armando Dippet.
“I think we need to get you home, my dear. It would seem that you are just a wee bit tipsy and if you continue in this vein, I may not be able to control myself for much longer.”
“That’s what I’m hoping,” she purred. “I want you to peel this dress off me slowly as I run my hands all over your naked body. I want to use my tongue in ways that will make you lose control even before we become one. I want to feel you moving in…”
“Enough…let’s get you home!” Albus practically shouted, the discomfort between his legs growing almost more than he could bear. With a small amount of reserve left, he helped Minerva to her feet. It didn’t help Albus that her body was pressing against his side and he could feel her warmth seeping through his robes. Knowing her, she was already heated and her body was flushed all over from the teasing and kissing, but that was something he was going to explore in a short amount of time.
Armando noticed Minerva’s slumped figure as they crossed the room. “Albus, is everything okay?”
“Well…yes and no. Seems some of my colleagues thought it would be fun to spike Minerva’s drink and she’s not one for strong drink, not as strong as they were giving her at least.” Minerva giggled and winked at Armando as if on cue.
“I can’t believe any of my staff would be so foolish as to potentially ruin this dance with such childish behavior! Am I to assume that it was Professors Winters and Donaldson who did this to Minerva?” Albus was not going to speak ill against his colleagues but Minerva chimed in before he could stop her.
“Oh those lovely women…gave me the most scrumptious punch and it made me feel all warm inside,” Minerva answered with a gleam in her eye. “And I think it had an affect on others as well,” she giggled as she hugged Albus to her tightly.
“Albus, she’s in no condition to travel home. I think, for this one night, it would be acceptable if she stayed here at the castle. Mind you…this had better not become public knowledge!”
“I assure you, Armando, we will be the model example of discretion. Thank you for your understanding.”
Minerva’s dainty finger trailed down the Headmaster’s nose before tapping it twice on the end. “Yes, thanks so very much. I promised Albus a night he won’t soon forget and this makes it so much easier than trying to make it back to my apartment.” Minerva giggled as Albus shuffled from one foot to the other under the piercingly knowing stare of Armando Dippet.
“Minerva, I think that’s enough for tonight. Let’s get you up to my rooms and…”
“Undressed and in your bed. Goodnight Headmaster. Don’t expect us for breakfast in the morning.” Minerva started to walk away, pulling Albus behind her as he shook his head in disbelief. Never would he have guessed that a few glasses of firewhisky would turn his playful kitten into such a ferocious minx. However, a much larger and stiffer part of him couldn’t wait to see how it also affected her skills in the bedroom. After all, she had been coming on to him all night and he hoped she was not just a tease, considering how much he now ached for her touch.
Options this week:
A. Albus meets with the jeweler who is a friend of the Flamels and they discuss his preferences for a special ring. B. Aberforth has some trouble with the ministry and Albus and Minerva have a row over what they should do to help him.
The voting will end on September 16. And thanks again for your participation! We look forward to your comments!
