I haven't voted in a few weeks, and the last time I did I accidentally picked the wrong letter (though it turned out that the one I wanted won). I'd like to see Minerva and Albus fight, because they've been having just a bit too much fun. And while I see the egagement being not too far off, I have to pick B so I can see how their tempers clash.

What a fabulous chapter!
A tipsy tabby was certainly more then Albus could handle in public, wasn't she?
As much as I would like to see the ring buying, I have to agree I think it is time for a row and Aberforth is of course the one to bring it on. I choose option B.
BTW what happened in Minerva's cat necklace?

Lovely chapter! Poor Minerva would probably be so embarrassed if she realized what she'd been up to while drunk/drugged. Those awful women! It was an excellent read, however. Hmm, both choices sound lovely for next week, but I guess I'll go with B.

I have to take my hat off for you gals!!! I get more and more impressed with each chapter! This on was really funny ;D! Even if I do feel slightly (a very small amount) sorry for Albus and his embarrassment....
Over to the chose of this week.... I don't think I'm gonna go with the easy one and say both, even if I really would like to see both.... To see what kind of problem you'd give Aberforth would be very funny, but as the true romantic I am (I don't think any one here at home would believe you if you told them, though) I want to see A.
And btw, don't feel sorry for me, although it would have been fun with A, any chapter of this story is fantastic! So please, do keep on writing!

A/N: Hello Everybody! We’re here to present you with our latest chapter, where option B reigned supreme with 15 votes to A’s 9. Special thanks this week to Alex who wanted us to use a tampered bludger and the limerick: There was a young lady from Nantucket, who spent the day fishing in a bucket, but to no avail, she did not prevail, so she gave up and said.... Adrasteia asked for a trampoline and a quote from our favorite Beatles song, “Will you still need me? Will you still feed me, when I’m sixty-four?” And Toe Expert wanted to see a pair of sunglasses and the phrase “How long do you think you can keep it up?” This week we’d be pleased if Tartan Tabby, Melba Toast, Herzele, and Nerweniel would send us one object and one sentence to use in the chapter. So, put on those thinking caps and send us something good. Special Note from Lisa: I have to apologize to all of our lovely and loyal reviewers. These past two weeks have been so busy for me that I did not get a chance to look at my portion of the story until today. Ang has been so patient with me – having written her part before the voting was ever finalized. So it is all my fault…I admit it…all I ask is for a second chance…pretty please Passionate Nights and Disastrous Days A brilliant sunrise greeted the first day of November but neither Albus nor Minerva saw it. The thick purple drapes covering the uniquely shaped windows hid the sunshine from the sleeping lovers. A chill hung heavy in the air causing Minerva to burrow closer to Albus’ warmth as she inhaled the familiar scent of his cologne and felt his strong arms wrapped securely around her. She smiled to herself as she placed a soft kiss to his bare chest and felt him stirring beneath her. “Mmm, good morning my dear,” his voice rumbled through his chest. “It’s nice to see you’re finally awake.” He planted a kiss to the top of her head before lifting her face up to his for a more involved caress. Minerva stretched beside him and threw one leg over his, snuggling as close to his body as she possibly could. “Hmm, if you wouldn’t wear a girl out at night, then maybe she could get up at a descent hour. But, I’m not complaining. I love how you use all of your talents to make me beg for more,” she giggled. “And just how much of last night do you remember, love?” he asked with a hint of mirth to his voice. ”Enough to know that I will most likely be sore this morning and perhaps walking a little strangely from our antics. You really were amazing last night and I hope you enjoyed it half as much as I did. Though, from the expressions on your face and your moaning, I’d say I did something right.” “Well, would you care to enlighten an aging man and tell him exactly what about last night you enjoyed the most? After all, I’d like to make sure I remember to use those moves again sometime.” Minerva’s cheeks turned pink. “Albus, do you really want me to tell you? I mean, wouldn’t that be bordering on naughty talk?” “It might be but we have no secrets from each other and if we shared the same experience, then it would simply be stating a fact. Though I must admit, hearing you describe the things I do to your body would be a grand turn on at times.” His eyes turned dark as he continued to stare into her green eyes. “Hearing you describe how much my touch or my kisses make you feel, how my lips on your body causes your stomach to quiver with anticipation, how it makes you crave more each time I move against you…” Minerva playfully slapped his chest and then kissed him hard on the lips. “You are incorrigible, Albus Dumbledore, and I love every square inch of you.” “How long do you think you can keep it up?” he asked out of the blue. “You don’t remember a thing do you, Lioness? You can’t honestly tell me one thing that we did last night, can you?” He stared at her with sapphire eyes, begging for her to tell him any different. “How can you say that?” she gasped. “I can remember every single detail from our nights together so why would last night be any different? And why all the questions this morning? You’re giving me a headache!” Albus laughed loudly, causing her to stiffen in his arms. “Now, now lioness…no need to get your hackles raised!” He tried to plant a kiss to her thinned lips, but she resisted. “Alright, I’ll tell you why the questions and doubts about what you recall, but remember, you started this by suggesting what a glorious night of lovemaking we had only a few short hours ago.” Albus proceeded to remind Minerva, gently, about the two witches with the delicious drinks and how they kept refilling her glass, causing her to get a wee bit tipsy. Then his voice turned heavy and his body began to react as he told her how it felt to have her teasing him through his robes as he tried to remain composed around his colleague. “I…I actually played with your wand under the table? I can’t believe…I mean I’ve imagined doing something like that with you but…oh Albus…I don’t know whether to apologize or…” “Oh my dear, there’s no need for apologies. I might sound like a randy old man but I rather enjoyed it. There was an element of danger and playfulness that was quite the aphrodisiac.” He pulled her closer to his body as one hand began to work its’ way underneath the oversized shirt he dressed her in the night before. “I might just have to return the favor sometime,” was his quiet answer as his hand slid between her legs to gently stroke her. Minerva closed her eyes and moaned softly as his wonderfully talented touch created a heat within her. “Mmm, Albus…that feels…divine…ohhh, but I…sweetheart…I have a headache,” she groaned as she felt his hand cease all movement. “And rightly you should,” he chuckled. “When I got you back here last night, all that firewhisky seemed to hit you all at once and before we could even begin to explore your friskier nature, you decided you needed sleep more than me. That’s when I put you in my nightshirt and crawled into bed beside you.” He kissed the tip of her nose and then her lips. “All that teasing from you last night forced me to retire for the night as an unsatisfied man but I had no other choice. But now that you’re awake,” he said wiggling his eyebrows, “there will be plenty of time for play after breakfast. You just lie back and rest while I see about some food. Hopefully by then your headache will be gone and we can enjoy the rest of our Saturday.” Albus rose from the bed and walked quickly to the window, pulling the drapes back with a flourish and letting the sunshine pour into the room. “Albus! That’s just cruel! Close the drapes and come back to bed…please.” “Oh no. It’s a new day and I think we need to enjoy it to the fullest. Besides, we both got a full night’s sleep since nothing happened between us and there was a missed opportunity for some rather heated lovemaking. You certainly were frisky enough last night and I wouldn’t mind seeing that side of you again my dear,” he finished with a desire practically radiating from his body. “Now, I will go and see about some breakfast and then we can decide on how best to spend our day.” With a loud groan, Minerva pulled the sheet over her head in an attempt to block out as much of the bright light as possible. “Do you think you can locate a hangover potion too while you’re at it? I know it would go a long way towards making me feel normal again.” His laughter was the last thing she heard as he closed the outer door behind him. The scent of scrambled eggs woke Minerva nearly a half hour later and she struggled hard to keep her stomach from somersaults. With one eye opened, she could barely make out Albus walking towards the bed with an entire tray full of foods, some appealing and some downright atrocious. “What’s all this, then?” she asked sitting up with a pillow behind her. “Breakfast in bed, of course. It’s not everyday that I get the chance to take care of you. I know you aren’t feeling all that wonderful this morning but with some food, a potion and the brisk morning air, you’ll feel like the goddess you were last night in no time at all.” “Albus…the eggs…” “Yes, lovely scrambled eggs. Or you can have the poached ones. I also have a hard boiled and a soft boiled one and a runny egg. I wasn’t sure which you’d like.” “Cruel…that’s what you are!” “I’m teasing you, Minerva. The eggs are mine, admittedly and it is only the one serving. The rest I left in the kitchen. But I did bring you some dry toast and honey…oh and your favorite blend of tea.” Albus took a piece of toast and Minerva watched as he spread just the right amount of honey over the light tan piece of bread and then broke off a small bite. “Here you go. Open up so I can feed you.” Minerva opened her mouth and accepted the small piece of toast, taking care to gently suck the excess honey from his fingertips.

“Much better. Now, let’s take a bite of this strawberry,” he said placing the berry between his lips and leaning closer to her. With no prompting at all, Minerva parted her lips and shared half the strawberry with him, licking the juice from his lips. “If breakfast was like this each morning it would soon become my favorite meal of the day,” he replied after licking his lips to taste her strawberry kiss.
“Albus…will you still need me, will you still feed me, when I’m sixty-four?”
“Sweetheart, I’ll still need you, want you, feed you…and most importantly…love you, when you’re well past one hundred sixty four. In fact, I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving you. Unless of course decide you need someone younger to keep up with your playful nature, my tipsy tabby cat!”
“Never! I’d be hard pressed to find a man even a fraction as good and loving as you!”
“And not many men would allow their lovers to flirt with their employer and tell him all the things that he does to her in private,” he hinted.
Minerva’s mouth flew open as her hand came up to cover it quickly. “Please, tell me I did not tell Armando Dippet anything personal. Please,” she pleaded.
“Let’s just say Armando has a pretty good idea of how far along our relationship has progressed and through no fault of my own. And given my state of excitement when I escorted you from the dance and the way you were grabbing at me, it’s safe to say that some of my colleagues have a sneaking suspicion of what could have happened between us last night.”
Minerva buried her head in her hands. “I am so sorry, Albus. I will apologize to anyone I need to and from now on I will never drink again.”
He reached out and took her hands in his, kissing the palm of each one in turn. “You don’t owe anyone an apology. It wasn’t your fault that your glass was spiked and Armando knows the truth about that. And I must say I rather enjoyed your attentions last night. I’m just a bit disappointed that we weren’t able to follow through with your ideas. The thoughts of using a trampoline in our lovemaking were quite inspired and you did seem rather insistent on the erotic nature of the object in question.”
“I never…”
“Oh yes you did. And you were very explicit in explaining how that one little trampoline could add such heights to our passion, to coin a phrase,” he chuckled. “It did sound rather arousing, especially hearing you describe it.” His eyes darkened once more. “Hmm, I might have to transfigure our bed into a trampoline so we can test your erotic theories.”
“Ah, there’s plenty of time for that this afternoon and if you play your cards just right, maybe I’ll see about getting tipsy again…just for you. But only if you promise not to greet me with bright sunshine and scrambled eggs the following morning!”
Albus removed the tray of food and set it down on the floor then crawled onto the bed to lay on top of Minerva. “Mmm, I think that can be arranged,” he said kissing her throat, his nimble fingers easily unfastening the buttons of the shirt she was wearing.
“Al…Albus…you have to….move,” she said pushing him off her and dashing from the bed. Her bare feet padded across the stone floor towards the bathroom. Minerva had finally lost her battle of wills between her stomach and the smell of Albus’ eggs.
Albus couldn’t help but chuckle to himself as he followed her into the bathroom moments later. It wasn’t that he found her predicament amusing but he had just remembered there was a quidditch match this afternoon. And it was between Ravenclaw and Gryffindor, both striving to lead their teams closer to the coveted quidditch cup. Minerva would have to feel a great deal better if she planned to attend the game with him.
Minerva shivered slightly as a cold gust of wind wrapped itself around her capturing the air in her lungs. The warming spell she had placed on her cloak was fading quickly. She moved slightly to her right in an attempt to steal any warmth she could from Albus, who seemed oblivious to the temperature as he cheered the Gryffindor quidditch team on to victory. On her left Armando Dippet looked pale as he huddled even closer into his robes.
Minerva loved quidditch but between the hangover and the activities that had kept her occupied through most of the morning, she found she would much rather have been cuddled in bed with a good book or even better, the man beside her. Albus had offered to let her stay in his rooms while he attended the game but Minerva had insisted on coming. After all, she had promised weeks ago that she would be at the much anticipated game.
Albus’ twinkling blue eyes turned to her as if sensing her thoughts and she felt the warmth and love in his gaze heat her necklace. Unconciously she reached up and stroked it through her robes. It was a habit she had developed without really realizing it. She smiled at him and reached out to grasp his hand, making sure they were hidden from view.
Minerva turned to look at the playing field. The Ravenclaws, who were currently ranked first in the school, were leading by twenty points. The day was slightly overcast but seemed to be clearing and Minerva sighed, knowing the game could go on for hours. As if on cue, a burst of sunlight broke though the cloud cover causing her to squint as she attempted to make out what was happening on the field.
After a few moments of fighting the blinding light, Minerva looked away blinking the tears from her eyes. The sight that met her gaze caused her to stop breathing. Next to her, Albus was cheering on the game wearing a pair of the most outlandish sunglasses she had ever seen.
“Albus, what in Merlin’s name are you doing?” Minerva kept her voice low to keep prying ears from listening in.
Albus turned to her, confusion evident in the downturn of his mouth. Pointing to her face to convey what she meant over the din of the crowd, Albus’ face lit up with understanding. “They are sunglasses, a muggle invention. They allow you to see more clearly in bright lights. Would you like to try them?”
Minerva cocked her head as he explained and took in the horn rimmed glasses etched with rhinestones along the edges. She felt the laughter bubbling inside her and tried her hardest not to let it out. “Albus, I know what sunglasses are, but what I fail to understand is why you are wearing a pair of women’s sunglasses.”
Albus quickly pulled the glasses off a look of mirth mixed with horror in his eyes. “I had no idea…”
“Obviously darling. Why don’t you hand them over and I will transfigure them into something a bit more appropriate.”
Albus dropped them in her outstretched hands with a mouthed thank you before turning back to the game. Minerva looked at the glasses one last time before making them a bit more appropriate for the wizard at her side. Just as she was about to hand them back, a roar went up in the crowd and Albus jumped up, his wand pointed at the field.
Minerva followed his line of vision until she spotted what everyone was upset over. She gasped, her hand flying to her mouth as she spotted it. A third bludger had been put into play and was chasing the Ravenclaw seeker. The petite girl was trying desperately to outrace and outmaneuver it as it continuously tried to knock her off her broom.
Minerva noticed Albus muttering under his breath and a stream of blue light flew out of his wand and surrounded the girl just as she lost her race against the bludger. It hurled toward her, and a gasp went up as it flew at the side of her head. Minerva saw everything as if in slow motion. Even from the distance she could see the look of panic on the girl’s face and the way she closed her eyes and tensed for the impact. Then a flash erupted, causing Minerva to avert her eyes. When she looked back, the ball was dropping harmlessly through the air and landed with a bounce on the ground below.
A timeout was called and the two teams landed, the seeker of Ravenclaw practically falling from her broom as she grazed the grass. Minerva saw the accusations start but her attention was drawn to Albus, who had collapsed back onto his seat.
“Are you okay Albus?”
Minerva dropped to her seat as Armando made his way out of the stands, his face black with anger. Albus looked up at her and smiled wearily. “I am fine. I just needed a second to recover. The spell takes a lot of magical energy. I haven’t used it…in a long time.”
Minerva knew better than to question him on the spell now. Besides, Albus was looking for Armando as the arguments on the field became more heated. It was obvious that Gryffindor was being blamed for the bludger that had been tampered with and it appeared as if it may result in a forfeit of the game. And if the looks and whispers of the other professors were anything to go on, much worse might happen to her old house.
“He left a few seconds ago and he didn’t look happy. I will wait here while you go sort out the mess.” Albus’ smile took her breath away and Minerva settled down for a long wait.

Post by Hogwarts Duo on Sept 23, 2005 17:03:25 GMT -5
A few hours later Minerva found herself ensconced in Albus’ rooms as she waited to find out the results of the meeting he was in. It turned out that the bludger had been tampered with by a group of Slytherins in an attempt to frame the Gryffindors. The guilty boys were led by none other than Malfoy and were caught by the groundskeeper who had hauled them into the center of the field to the Headmaster. After the uproar had died down, the game had resumed and Gryffindor had won within twenty minutes. Now Albus was in Armando’s office meeting with the Head of Slytherin house, the Groundskeeper and the Head of Ravenclaw house to decide what punishment would be pursued. Minerva knew what she would do to the little monster but she had a feeling that with the money and influence behind his family, he would only get a suspension. As she sat curled in her favorite chair, the fireplace flared to life and a man came tumbling out nearly toppling into her lap. Minerva had her wand out and pointed at his chest before he even raised his head. “Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!” “Aberforth?” Minerva blinked, her voice unsteady from the scare. “Good gracious Min! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?” Albus’ brother was breathing hard and holding his hand across his heart. Minerva lowered her wand. It was most certainly Aberforth, the resemblance unmistakable once she got past his dirty robes and the awful smell emanating from him. “What in Merlin’s name are you doing here?” “I am here to plead for assistance from my brother. What are you doing here?” Minerva felt herself blush at the inquisitive stare he turned on her. “I am waiting on him to finish his meeting with the Headmaster. We had planned on going to dinner this afternoon when he finished.” It was only a little white lie so Minerva only felt a little guilty about it. At least that is how she was rationalizing it to herself. However, Aberforth didn’t look like he bought it for a minute. Deciding that changing the subject back over to him would probably be her best course of action, Minerva forged ahead. “Whatever has happened that you need Albus’ assistance? And why do you smell like you spent the day in a barn?” Aberforth took the seat across from her, the one Albus usually sat in, and slumped back into the cushion. “I just had a run in with the ministry and they may be coming to arrest me. Of course they are the ones at fault. Goats are harmless and to treat them with such disrespect….” Minerva was quickly becoming confused. “Wait, maybe you should start at the beginning.” “Of course, you are right. I am just so upset about it all.” Aberforth calmed his fidgeting hands and took a deep breath. “It all started a few weeks back. I don’t know if Albus has every mentioned my love of animals… …and so I broke into the stables and rescued them. No creature should be used for experimentation. They deserve a better life than that. The ministry is of course trying to catch me and I had to flee the manor.” “Oh Aberforth, that is horrible! I am sure Albus can do something for you. I have never heard of such injustices, even in my time at the ministry.” Aberforth looked miserable and Minerva reached out and took his hand. Without warning, Minerva jerked in response to the rush of irritation and anger that tingled through her body. She used her free hand to rub the necklace that was pouring forth the emotions. The two of them sat in silence while Minerva worried about what had happened to cause Albus to become so volatile. He was usually so calm that she often forgot she was wearing the small cat. After a few minutes the feelings faded and Minerva decided some tea would be appropriate and was soon pouring a steaming cup for the wizard across from her, whose nerves were obviously worn. She was just handing the cup over when the door to Albus’ rooms were opened and the man they were both waiting for came through. He stopped, clearly surprised at what he found. “Aberforth, how nice to see you.” Albus’ voice wasn’t exactly friendly and Minerva stood as if trying to shield Aberforth from his own brother. “Aberforth arrived a bit ago and was just telling me about a run in he has had with the ministry.” Minerva’s voice was calm but her insides were twisting. She could feel and see the anger in her lover’s eyes and couldn’t help but feel that it was directed at his brother. “I am well aware of why my brother has visited. I just had a visit myself, from the ministry.” “I would love to hear what nonsense they made up about me.” Aberforth’s voice was flippant and Minerva cringed upon hearing it. “Whatever nonsense…do you realize how much trouble you have caused? How much shame you have brought to the family’s name with your antics? I didn’t believe it of you at first but they had proof.” “Whatever proof they claimed to have was completely fictional.” Albus seemed to grow in size, even as his voice lowered. “You will be turning yourself into the ministry today. It is the right thing to do and I will not have it any other way.” Aberforth seemed undaunted and Minerva watched in shock as the play between the brothers continued to unfold. “I will do no such thing. I am a grown man and will make my own decisions. I thought you of all people would understand, being family and all. Minerva thank you for listening to me but I am afraid I must deal with this on my own.” Minerva and Albus’ voice rang out in the air at the same time drowning the others out. “No Aberforth, please wait.” “You are not going anywhere!” A purple light shot out of Albus’ wand causing Aberforth to topple over just as he reached for the floo powder. “What in Merlin’s name are you doing Albus!” Minerva rushed over to Aberforth and sighed in relief when she found no signs of any serious harm from the fall. Having dealt with the immediate issue, she turned to Albus her anger fully upon him. With her hands on her hips, she waited for an answer “I am doing what is right. You have obviously been lured by my brother’s sweet words on what happened. But if you had seen the pictures I did.... It is completely unacceptable. He needs to own up to his actions and if he won’t do it himself then I will help him.” Minerva’s temper flared to full force, outweighing the obvious upset Albus was feeling. “Maybe if you would actually listen to someone instead of jumping to conclusions, the events would look differently.” “And you I take it have heard both sides…I didn’t think so. And yet you take my brother’s word for it. He has been trouble in the past Minerva, never anything like this but I have been weaseling him out of similar situations for decades.” Minerva sputtered and had to take a deep breath to bring herself back under control. “In other words, the Great Albus Dumbledore can’t possibly be wrong. You didn’t even give him a chance. I heard the whole story from him, he only wanted the best for those goats.” “The best…” Albus’ eyes took on a look Minerva had never seen in them before. “There was a young lady from Nantucket, who spent the day fishing in a bucket, but to no avail, she did not prevail, so she gave up and said...” “Don’t you dare! I will not be spoken to in such a way or have it implied that I am being narrow-minded by some childish limerick from your youth. I think you ought to look in the mirror before accusing others. I have had enough.” Minerva levitated Aberforth and put a disillusionment charm over him. She turned to leave and found Albus standing in her way. “I am leaving, with Aberforth. When you come to your senses we will be at my apartment. And don’t even think of stopping me Albus or I swear you will regret it for a very long time!” Her eyes sparked with fire and the air around her was charged. She saw the flicker of regret in Albus’ eyes and he opened his mouth to speak. However, he seemed to think better of it and simply stepped to the side. Oooh, great chapter! I've been hoping you'd update this one soon (ahem, Lisa ). I loved the beginning when Minerva didn't remember anything, that was inspired. What a fight, though, goodness! I don't know who to side with yet, shall get back to you...
