Dumbly is NOT gay. I have nothing against gays hell my favorite TV show has gays on it and is written by a gay guy but Dumbleodre is not one of the gay community. I could see him maybe supporting it but he's not one of them. JRK has lost her mind.
Mmadlyinlove i was in mourning for a day and a half about it quckly switched to denial... very quickly

My best friend (who is gay and claims to have a Gaydar) emailed me a link to a story about Dumbledore's sexuality.... I should ask her if she thought he was gay.  Personally, I could see it when you told me about it and though it does undermine MMAD, which was never a canon ship in first place, I absolutely love the idea that Dumbledore, the most powerful wizard in the HP-verse, is gay. It kind of makes up for the two issues I have with HP - the women in it and the heterosexual inclination of the whole series. |

It's the wonderful dress-sense and use of colours that gave it away from the start. A bit stereotypical, perhaps, but definitely a sure sign of a man who's in touch with his feminine side!
Was no surprise to me. I'll stick with ADMM, though. This just opens so many other possibilities...

I can see why she didn't release the news after the books became popular. It was only smart to do economically. But if she had announced it in the first book, would there be MM/AD? I doubt it. |

I honestly think that she changed her mind about Dumbledore being gay, I do not think that she viewed him as gay when she wrote the first few books, because there is just so much evidence of MMAD in the books. and I'm sure that I recall reading an interview somewhere, perhaps from several years ago, where she said that some of the professors were married and did have relationships, and that this would be revealed later. It never was revealed though, and who else could it possibly be other than our own dear albus and Minerva, there are so many signs and hints in the books.
So I think that she changed her mind and with the series coming to an end decided for various reasons to make albus gay. After all there was a long gap between book 5 and book 7, and in book 7 there were so many shocking things we learned about Albus, things that to me seem to contradict with him as portrayed in the first five books. Call me insane if you will but I am convinced of this, and therefore I reject book 7 totally, for me Dumbledore is still very much alive and with Minerva. *nods vehemently*
I really would not have minded had she made someone else gay, just not Albus because he is with Minerva, and I'm sick of JKR trying to kill our ship. *Glares at JKR*

waw!!! well, I never really thought of this before, but you're very probably right. And I will add that as she has NOT EXPLICITLY WRITTEN IN THE BOOKS that Albus is gay, I won't EVER believe it! gnap! And the ones who do so are... sheeps following the opinion of one. If anyone needs a hand to make her "see" our point of view AND respect it... just call me, I know some interesting things that could help us... what what what  this is no threatening but a fair offer!!! bwahahahahaha!!! ;D May she live her after life in the Domain of Hel!!!!! (that's one of the way I'm searching for saying I absolutely despise her and dislike her veery much!!) It certainly sounded immature but this woman make out the worst of me... |
