I'm sorry if this has come up before...it'd be kind of weird if it did, but you guys are awesome and generally think of EVERYTHING...
When talking about ADMM to your friends, in spoken speech, how do you pronounce it? Do you say the letters ADMM? Here in eastern KY, my friends and I (wait - my FRIEND and I) call it "Admuh." It rolls off the tongue quite nicely.
Any other variations?

I call them "Macca/McGo and Dumby/D-Dore", or simply "Admum"

I always just say the letters for things like this. A-D-M-M or M-S-R...it just sounds stupid to me when I try and make it into a word. But then again I only ever use these terms in my head anyway (I don't know anybody in the fanfic world except through the net) so I guess it doesn't matter too much for me either way. But now I'm trying to think up clever acronyms! Argh, I'm going to be preoccupied with this all day! Lol.

Well, I am really the only ADMM shipper among my friends so I generally refer it to as "McGonagall and Dumbledore" around them, but to myself I think it is A-D-M-M.

I pronounce it as 'Adam' but only around one friend, because the rest isn't really into HP and character names are different in Dutch so the acronym wouldn't fit.

I generally don't talk about ADMM, but in my head I'll either say 'Mad' or 'A-D-M-M'. It honestly depends on what the author has labeled the story as. Some say 'MMAD'; others say 'ADMM'.

I have always called it "mad". It's just so easy to say, and then people have no idea what I'm talking about!

I talk about it almost constantly untill I drive people insane or should that be MMAD. I pronounce it MuhMAD or just yell MuhMadness loudly. ;D I never call it ADMM, but if I did I would pronounce it AdMmmm, since when you put Albus and Minerva together you get mmmmm when they kiss each other. I have a terrible habit of turning all initials into words.

I call it A-D-M-M in my head.
But when I'm talking to my friends about Harry Potter fanfic I call it that ship
Because most of them are Sirius/Lupin shippers and think ADMM is gross...so it avoids embarrassment because if I acutally mention Minerva or Albus, they just look at me in that creeped out way. *sigh*

Well, I call them 'Awesome'....
In all semi-seriousness, though, I use ADMM, MMAD and I think I'll start referring to them as the McDumbles.
The McDumble Movement kinda has a nice ring, wouldn't you agree?

Either "McGonagall and Dumbledore" or "McDumbledore." None of my friends are incredibly enthusiastic about it, they only pretend to be just to humor me, and I rarely get to talk to the one who does face-to-face anyway. In my head I just go "A-D-M-M"...

I do the A-D-M-M thing too. Have since I started talking about the ship but part of the time I end up calling them Dumblydore and Minkins lol((I have a feeling if Minerva was real and she knew that she'd probably kill me lol)) or Alby and Min or something like that. With a big majortiy of my ships I just aberviate their initals unless they're married and have the same last name like Narcissa and Lucius or Molly and Arthur.

I just say "mad" for MMAD as well. I'm just simple about that. Minkins is a very funny nickname!

Most of the HP characters get odd nicknames in my head lol
Minkins, Dumblydore, Voldi, Voldisnort, Snapedoodle(branda came up with that one), Lucikins, Cissydoodle, Medakins basically add -kins to the end of just about any of their names and I have called them at least once probably lol... except Arthur he's Teddy Bear(long story invloves an RP)

I say mmmmaaaaaaddddddnnnneeesss!!! except obviously not nees but infact ness. All my friendlys call me strange. but it's still funny in the middle of english if you say it loud enough. ;D Yes, me too. And I did that in English this morning. I was talking to one of my HP friends and I was like, "Well, my favorite ship - everyone thinks it's MMADnnneeessssssssssssssssssssssssss!" really loudly. Well, at least my English teacher knew what I meant. I let her read my response to challenge #98. So she got it and she actually started laughing, and then I had to explain a bit to everyone. It was so awkward ... 'cause everyone was giving me these weird looks. And I said at the very end, "Yes, and I know that there's a age difference between them and JKR said Albus is gay, but, in my heart, I believe that Albus and Minerva complement each other very nicely and ever since Chapter One, Book One of Harry Potter, they were my favorite couple.

I wore an ADMM Forever teeshirt to school one day in 8th grade and got questions the ENTIRE day I got so sick of it except when I'm talking to my bf, or my friends Kacey and Angel I just don't talk about ADMM. For some reason they keep popping up in my HP papers I write for my novels class but other than that I don't talk about them. But that I can't really help it though lol. I wore my shirt again the first day of school this year and it did not go well again. People around here where I live though are so closed minded about some things though. IT's rather annoying really. There are times I think I was born in the wrong decade and/or centruy and in the wrong area.

I was watching HP & the Sorcerer's Stone last night on ABC Family (part of their 25 days of Christmas thing, though I don't see how it's a Christmas movie....) and the entire first scene I was just squeeing "Admuh" to myself...a bit sad really, no one else was there, lol....=D I've been kind of removed from the ship for the past few months so now I guess I'm making up for it!

My best friend finds it hilarious that I like ADMM...(I always say it as A>D>M>M>or as M>M>A>D) so I rarely discuss it with her, (she is a much better debater that I am) and none of my other friends even like Minerva so I don't discuss it very much. Nothing irritates me faster than someone talking to me about the Harry Potter books or movies, and annoying me by talking about how "wonderful" the trio are... I have nothing against them, just cannot talk about them =)

Since I've gotten a little "lazy", I now I call it "Albus and Minerva" or "McGonagall and Dumbledore" 'cause I like saying their names together. Or if I really feel like it "Albus and Minerva Dumbledore" just to annoy people who don't read HP or ship ADMM.

I have nothing against them, just cannot talk about them =) I feel your pain chicka. I'm not a big fan of the trio, esp. Hermione and can't stand Ginny, Tonks (as of the 6th book), and Mrs.Weasly. That's probably the main reasons I'm a shipper, since I can't stand like half the main characters.

I generally don't talk about it with my friends...coz that's when they give me weird looks. We just stick to main HP talk, they hear enough of my random interests as it is. I call the special couple "McDumbles" "M-M-A-D" or "Mini & Dumbles" I am quite fond of calling 'em McDumbles though...
