The pic your link leads to is supposed to be a moment during the funeral of Albus - Minerva is probably going to change the display in the Great Hall or cause some other effect .... (why the students are standing around in jeans and sweatshirt is beyond my understanding...  ) |

This scene is not in the book. It is one that was developed for the movie, because the movie doesn't have the hospital wing scene.
I believe it is at the bottom of the astronomy tower after Albus' body has been found. They are wearing casual clothes because they all came from their dormitories.
They are definately not in the Great Hall because if you look at the ground, there is green grass underfoot.
I haven't the vaguest idea what Minerva is doing with her wand. I guess we will have to wait to see the movie to find out.

I don't know what realy happens in that scene either, but if you watch the trailer from which this picture was taken, you can see that she uses her wand to shoot a flash of lightning in the sky.

Yeah, I mean, hello, Dumbledore IS suppose to be the person that knows everything and is clam and thoughtful kind of person, not the rash, stern, blunt dumbledore that Gambon acts out. I mean, just watch how he corners Harry in GoF, he practically slammed him to the wall (or mirror, not really sure). I liked the way Harris used his eyes to the first two movies when he is watching Harry, he really nailed the 'penetrating gaze' part, like dumbledore knows more than he is telling. I'm just sorry that he couldn't make it through the whole series. Rest in Peace!

You know something...neither Harris nor Gambon ever read the books.
With this in consideration it makes since that their Dumbledore's are different.
Harris used his eye because his eyes always tell his story (I'm going from other movies I've seen him in)
Gambon his fierce but has moments of goofiness because that's who he is.
I really prefer Harris but I'm trying to be nice to Gambon as well. IN all honesty the only person that I think embodies their character the best is Maggie. Every character she molds to e here. She is the best and I am so happy she is Minerva!!!!
Only about 12 or so days till the movie comes out!!!!

OMG! Love that pic...seriously excited....4 DAYS!!! I do hope there is more of Min in it too, the 5th one was so disappointing. Aggghhh, I can hardly wait until the 15th!!!!   |
