I've seen different nicknames for Minerva and was wondering which one people prefer. If you choose the "Other" category, please let me - and other members - know what nickname you think suits her the best! And the nickname would be used by most adults unless they have a more personal nickname for her. (ex. Most call her Mina but Albus calls her Tabby...) Thanks! tabbyhearts  |

Unless its either Poppy or Albus, I only like Minerva to be called Minerva by other adults in fanfic. If its Poppy or Albus than I like Min or Albus could also call her Tabby or Kitten, but they would all three be for private use only by my preference.

That's a good point ... maybe I should mention that it's all adults. That way people don't just assume it's her friends I'm asking about.

I like Min and Tabby as well, but you wanted one for ALL adults ...
I can only see Albus daring to call her 'Tabby' or 'Min' ... my heartfelt condolences to anyone else who makes such an unfortunate mistake, lol.

Well I choose "others" cause I couldn't decide ;D If it Poppy or Xia or Sprout (don't know how to spell her first name^^) I prefer Min. If it's Albus and they are alone I really like Tabby, Kitten or Lioness ;D Tabby and Kitten are sooo sweet and loving and Lioness just send this waves of desire (my opinion). Well other should just call her Minerva otherwise they probably will get confronted with the McGonagall temper  |

I tend to use 'Min' for her friends and Albus. I just can't handle cute nicknames like 'Tabby' and 'Kitten' - I can't handle any cute nicknames actually. My friend gave me the nickname of 'Dead Fish' (long, looooooooong story) and it's stuck to this day as has'tishy-tosh', 'L.B', 'Rascal', 'babs', 'Kimberly', 'Kimmoi'... the list goes on... and on... and on again.

mmadforever: I read Mina in a story and now use it a lot... MinnieQuill: Same here. No offense to anyone who uses them but I hate stuff like "Tabby" or "Kitten" ... seems more childish to me.
