Minerva wanted to resist this show of affection. This must be against some rule somewhere. "Miss Evans, what is the meaning of this?" Minerva sounded more startled than scary.
"No. If you're going to leave, you should know that some of us will miss you. I'll miss you. The Deputy Headmaster will miss you too. I know. He told me," Lily said, still hugging her professor. And just like that Minerva's resolve vanished. She carefully put her arms around the small first year and let the girl’s head come to rest on her shoulder.
“Miss Evans, I just don’t feel that I belong here. Don’t you want me to be happy? I just don’t think that I can be happy here. As for Professor Dumbledore, I don’t know why he told you these things, but he hasn’t… I haven’t exactly been made to feel welcomed.” Minerva hoped she hadn’t said too much, but it had been hard to keep all of these feelings to herself all this time.
Lily stepped out of Minerva’s hug, took her hand, and began to lead her down the hall. She lead her stunned professor right over to Albus. “Professor Dumbledore, please talk to Professor McGonagall. She was sad and I thought maybe you could make her feel better. You can always seem to make students feel better.” Looking at Minerva, Lily gave a smile and said “Don’t worry. He’s very nice.” Then she scampered off leaving the two professors alone.
"Would you do me the honor of accompanying me on a walk around the grounds, Minerva?" Albus asked as he offered her his arm.

Just read the whole thing! Couldn't stop! Please update soon! I'm desperately hoping that Albus doesn't get into serious trouble over kissing a sedated Minerva; and that he tells Minerva WHY he's been avoiding her! I love the introduction of the Marauders and Lilly, and the scene where the boys are looking up Min's skirt!?! I could've hexed them! Update! [CC]

Minerva nodded and Albus took her arm. They walked in silence for what seemed like an eternity. Finally Minerva couldn't take it. "Why did you leave me?" she shouted and whirled around to face the stunned Dumbledore. Tears began to roll down her face despite her best efforts to hide them.
"I did what was best." Albus said regaining his composure.
"What was best! You abandoned me and rather than face me, you've run away from me like a coward. You've left me to deal with students who detest me and treat me horribly just to preserve you ego. I find that..." Minerva was furious and Albus was not far from it himself.
"To preserve your job" he thundered "not my ego. Armando wants to have a meeting with us to decide what will happen to us both when he can be sure you won't hex me. I figured if he never found us together, the meeting would never take place. I was only thinking of you. And see here, Miss McGonagall, perhaps if you stopped acting like a spoiled, whining little girl, your students may come to respect you." Albus went and stood by the stone bench Minerva was currently occupying which overlooked the lake. He was still very angry at her.
"You're calling me childish? Ha, that rich. Who among us still has a rubber ducky?" Minerva scoffed.
"Leave Crackers out of this! You may go now. This is my private reflecting place and I wish to so now. Good day," he grumbled and sat on the other end of the bench not realizing how close they'd gotten.
"No, thank you, I rather like it here," Minerva said smiling.
Albus was shocked. "But this is my spot!"
"Which you've now shared with me. It's my spot too now." Minerva said, still smiling.
"That's not fair." Albus was at a loss. "I could cast a spell that would make the stone beneath you heat up so quickly, you'd be up in no time," he said with a wicked grin.
"Yes, and I could cast a spell that would have your underpants marching around this glen and singing "God Save the Queen", but I think we're both a bit old for such nonsense," was Minerva's retort.
The quiet of the glen was restored as Albus and Minerva watched the sunset together. Albus had been admiring Minerva as much as the landscape and had wrapped his arm securely around her waist. "I suppose we could share it," he said looking down affectionately at her.
"Yes," she replied, "it's our spot."

I LOVED THIS! It was perfect. They needed to vent their frustrations but it was great that they could still come together in the end.
Crackers... so great as well as "God Save the Queen." I would have paid good money to see that. lol

Yepp, I would definetely loved to have seen his underpants sing the British anthem ^^. That's much better than heating the stone (although this might work, too ^^). I really loved this chapter!!! At least they're talking again. And now... we can move on )) Which means: More, please ^^
