I know I am awful for posting pics I already have posted, but since my laptop died, I don't have access to the pics I had planned to use. This pic is of Maggie, Noel Coward, and Cary Grant at the 1970 Tony Awards.

Today's picture is from the 1975 Broadway production of Private Lives - Maggie's second try as Amanda Prynne. This production also starred John Standing as Elyot Chase.

It's Friday (and it's May! The lusty month of May!) so it's time for the Friday Spam! Today's prompt is food and drink. (And I've included lots of picnic pictures because it's May Day!) diana-hawthorne.livejournal.com/125051.html

The last day of our Noel Coward theme week. There's two pictures today, because I didn't post yesterday (sorry about that!) Also, sorry if these are repeats. <i>If</i> I had my computer, then there wouldn't be repeats. As Myra Arundel in the National Theatre's production of Hay Fever, 1964, with Anthony Nicholls. As Amanda Prynne in Private Lives, 1974, with John Standing.

Today's picture is from the 1968 movie Hot Millions, starring Maggie as Patty Terwilliger. This is DEFINITELY one of the best Maggie movies EVER.

How old is she now 73? She looks good for her age I think.

In honour of Michael Palin's 66th birthday yesterday, I put together a mini-picspam from the first movie he did with Maggie, The Missionary (he also co-wrote the script). I would have included pics from A Private Function if I had my laptop. community.livejournal.com/damemaggiedaily/24931.html

I know we *just* had our Noel Coward theme week, but after finding a bunch of lovely Rod/Maggie pics this morning, I couldn't resist declaring anothe theme week! Rod Taylor, an Australian actor best known for his starring role in Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds, worked on two films with Maggie: The V.I.P.S. (also starring Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton) and Young Cassidy (which featured Julie Christie's first film role). According to several sources, Rod Taylor was infatuated with Maggie, going so far as to propose marriage (though he was already married), during their first week of filming The V.I.P.S.. While she didn't accept his proposal, they had a brief affair on the set of Young Cassidy.
