I love it, too. Minerva's robes are really beautiful. Now those robes are what I pictured as dress robes, not the prom dress type that the kids are wearing. I like Harry's dress robes, and of course Ron's are just simply as atrocious (heh heh) as they are supposed to be, but the girl's robes are just wrong.
Oh well.

Adorable. And I agree with Kay, the girls' robes are definitely not what I pictured them to be. Oh well. I wish they'd change the transformation scene of Peter in POA and that's a far bigger issue than prom dresses vs dress robes.

you know, I had been wondering about the dress, in the book it said she wore a red one with an ugly writh of holly about the brim of her hat for the ball, but this is more in keeping with her wearing of the green.
because of the color confusion, and the quality of some of the pictures that I saw, I was questioning if it was mcgonagal that he was dancing with. but seeing them side by side, I know that it is her.
I will be going with my niece to see the goblet of fire on friday when it opens-
Can we have a separate discussion area for those who have seen the movie and who have not so they wont run into spoilers?

I'll put one over at the Harry Potter discussion board as we get closer to the release date. Is it coming out the same day everywhere? Nov 18th? I love Min dress robes... green fits her (a lot more than red)... and the hat! It's perfect (no matter what the book says, is great that JKR allowed the change)
I also liked Albus robes... they are gorgeous!
