She has her hair down! *breaks into the 'Minerva has her hair down boogie!* That is a great shot! Yay! I'm happy now. Hopefully they do the 'Head her off, Minerva -- tell her any story' bit. I loved that bit; even my father who is a staunch "I refuse to look, talk or hear about Harry Potter" person (yeah, fat chance of that happening in my house - now he's as Minerva-obsessed, well, not quite as Minerva-obsessed as me) loves that bit! Direct quite "Yeah, she's cool. I can see why you like her" (it's only taken me NINE years for him to admit that.) It narrowly misses the "He will not be singe-handed!" bit; that just rocks. And yes, I've had a touch too much coffee. Oh well!

aww. At least your family supports you. Mine thinks I'm a freak. Well, my step-mom does but she always has. Stupid Bitch. My dad tries to understand. I think I'm getting through to him. I've caught him watching the dance scene in GOF. My big sis and little bro understand a little and kind of support me. My brother in-law just runs away from me.

My mother doesn't support it. "If I see you're writing again...!" etc etc. But Dad is slightly, mind you only slightly better. He disapproves of the writing, but does concede that Minerva is the best character. Yay! And he loves Maggie Smith! Yay! I'm forcing him to buy me 'The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie' online and he's agreeing (I do not have a credit card ) And all my friends except DubhCleite run away from me when I start talking Potter. It's hilarious. And very handly when you don't want to speak to anyone. I don't own the movies. In my world they're completely separate. I just can't think of Minerva as looking that...old. A wierd thing on my part, but I can't help it! She will alwys be 40! Amanda has tried for...one year now to make me 'see sense' and it hasn't worked. lol.

I feel lucky that my parents couldn't care less. My mom was the one who turned me on to Harry Potter (but now I think she's slightly regretting that, seeing my obsession ). She took me to get OoTP when it came out at midnight. But she just reads the books and all, doesn't really think about it. I get the feeling she's seen my ff.net profile, but she doesn't comment on it, thank God

Yeah, I pray to God that Mum hasn't seen my ff.net profile, or read any of my stories. Oh god, if she read my current pet...*shudders* Dad, I'm fairly certain, just ignores it all. Mum read a snippet of 'The Serpentine Menace' and said it was crap, which I'm inclined to agree with, but nevertheless, hopefully she'll never read it again. And that pic is like THE one from Othello. We all know which one.

Does anyone know how the whole scene where Min gets hit with stunners is going to look? I hope they make it look cool and then it'll be even more bittersweet seeing Peeves chase UmBitch with her walking stick!!! *falls over in fits of laughter*

Unfortunately, the Peeves with Minerva's walking stick scene won't happen because they've never used Peeves in the movies. I realized this the other day and it made me SO sad...because of course, it is one of my favorite Minerva scenes... and "It unscrews the other way." ;D
