I was only sharing information...not attacking Gambon, trying to make Richard Harris look like a saint, pointing fingers at anyone in particular, etc! I was merely posting something in this thread that related directly to something someone mentioned in their post as a bit of biographical information.
The reason for the post was merely to shed light on a simple misconception about Michael Gambon. And yes, I realize that Richard Harris was Catholic and as I said, he was far from a saint! I never thought he was...but I still think he did more with Albus Dumbledore in two movies than Gambon has done in the 3 in which he's appeared!
I agree that the men should be kept seprate from the role and believe me I wasn't trying to blur the line between Dumbledore/Richard Harris/Gambon.
