Quick little rotten one, please enjoy

I was shaking, sweating softly too, I was nervous beyond the horizon and I wasn’t going to give up this time. An hour ago I was pacing my room in irritation, I had a dilemma. I’d awoke this morning I knew it was time, I had to do it toady. I told Poppy, by owl, I was going to ask the most important question in my life today, no more than that and no less either. I’d have no choice but to do it now, I couldn’t back out anymore, I’d trapped myself. My skin went pale; I was so hot I was cold. That question, it ruined it all. It was all very well that I’d decided to do it, but how? I could write a poem, yes, yes that sounded good; Roses are red... No too original. A song perhaps? That defiantly sounded like a better idea until, well until I remembered there wasn’t a single musical bone in my body. Should I just ask? But if I ask I have to face rejection straight in the eye. I needed fresh air; my lungs were tired of breathing the same doubt tinted air. Just think Minerva, I told myself as I walked quickly through a corridor. My head felt tight, it hurt so I looked down. Then pain hit my chest, I’d bumped into someone. I just remember seeing blue, just a quick flash.
“I love you, do you love me?” I blurted, then I realised what I’d done and snapped my mouth shut with my hands.
I turned to run but my shoulders were clamped in place by a firm hand, “Oh no you don’t Minerva, You’re not running away without an answer,” he said, I was defeated I thought he was going to lecture me but no; a miracle instead, “Of course I love you Minerva, forever and more.”
Looking back now I should have known, I should have asked sooner. I’m just happy I know now; we are in love.
