R-E-S-P-E-C-T
By Deirdre
Harry, Ron and Hermione were walking. Heads hung low, their arms full of books; they walked as if the weight of the world was on their shoulders. They were oblivious to the chatter and laughter of the students around them as they took the longest path to the dungeons.
"Do we really have to go? Snape will be murder today!"
'Yes," said Hermione as she tied back her long curls. "And it's Professor Snape Ron."
"Can you hear that?" asked Harry suddenly.
"Oh no, don't tell us you've been hearing voices again," said Ron miserably.
"But I am!"
"Here we go," muttered Ron.
"No, I can hear it too!" exclaimed Hermione. "It sounds like..."
"Singing!" said the three students in unison.
The voices were quiet but became louder when they grew closer.
"Ooo, your kisses, sweeter than honey! And guess what? So is my money..." sang the voices.
"Something strange is going on around here." said Harry suspiciously.
"It sounds like...no it can't be!" cried Hermione, instantly recognising the loud music that was playing.
And when they turned the corner Ron dropped his books in shock.
"Come on Minerva," yelled Poppy as Rolanda pulled her in a mad dance around the transfiguration classroom.
"I don't think so-" said Minerva but she was cut off as Rolanda grabbed her hand and pulled her after them.
"Ooo, your kisses! Sweeter than honey. And guess what?" sang Poppy.
"What?" cried Rolanda.
"So is my money!" continued Poppy, clicking in time with the music.
With a swish of a wand the music was turned up even louder. Rolanda laughed loudly and began to dance even more wildly.
"All I want you to do for me...Is give it to me when you get home!" cried Rolanda.
"Yeah baby!" cried Poppy, flinging her arms up into the air.
Rolanda and Poppy then looked expectantly at Minerva., still clicking in time with the music.
"Come on Minerva! You sing this better than Aretha herself!"
"Go Min!"
By now Minerva's hair had completely fallen out of its bun. Poppy yelled an incantation and their robes were replaced with flowing dresses, perfect for dancing.
Minerva suddenly opened her mouth and sang.
"R-E-S-P-E-C-T! Find out what it means to me!"
("Whoa! Louder!")
"R-E-S-P-E-C-T, Take care, TCB! Oh!" shrieked Minerva, sounding exactly like Franklin herself.
The women laughed until they were practically crying. Minerva kept singing and dancing. She didn't notice when Rolanda and Poppy had stopped. Still dancing, she turned around.
"Oh my god!" she whispered when she saw the shocked faces of three of her Gryffindors.
And to make things worst, one very stunned man with blue twinkling eyes was standing behind them.
In one swift movement, Albus strode over to Minerva, his eyes twinkling madly. He pulled her in his arms and kissed her passionately.
Ron was disgusted.
Harry was horrified.
Hermione was smiling.
Rolanda was cheering.
And Poppy was clapping her hands.
When they broke apart Minerva smiled happily. Albus kissed her forehead and held her tightly.
"I think I'm going to be sick!" cried Ron as he ran out of the classroom, possibly traumatised forever. He was closely followed by Harry who for once in his life was glad to go to Potions.
The End!
