okay, I just found this story-so, here are some of my favorite parts...the whole thing is brilliant, btw. -the pajama scene and the fact that Albus sleeps in the nude -the Weasley twins and their betting -the "speck of porridge" scene -Minerva's collection of cat toys -the fact that the betting pool is known as MMAD and that Severus has contributed the most -Fawkes thinking about "his master and is mate" and so much more...please update soon!

Awww! How brilliant! *is desperately longing for more* I think my favourite scene was in the first chapter of this:
"-She gave him the best glare she could from her position in his arms. “Really Albus, what would people think?”
“They would wish themselves in my shoes.” The students could see Minerva’s blush.-"
That was just so perfect! Excellent work, can't wait to read more!
Cheers,

A/N: Sorry for the delay in updating. It's twenty five to one and I still need to write two pages on Louis XII... my Dad's going to kill me when he comes upstairs.
Minerva judged it was safe to pretend to wake up as she heard Albus begin to chuckle. “What?” she said crankily. She was never at her best in the morning. Especially a morning after a night spent in a chair, sprawled across a desk. Her back was absolute torture and she had got almost no sleep especially after…that. Her rational side was saying ‘Don’t be stupid. He didn’t mean it. He was probably dreaming you were someone else. Or you were dreaming.” But there was still that part of her allowing her that impossible hope…even after so many years. “The purple doesn’t exactly match your eyes.” Minerva discovered that her head was pillowed on a letter. Presumably, she now had smudges of purple ink on her cheek. She pulled her head off the desk, hissing between her teeth at the pain that shot down her back and began to scrub at her cheek with her free hand. “That’s not going to work.” He commented, watching as the words blurred together. Minerva’s hand crept towards her wand. “That won’t work either. My ink can’t be altered or cleaned off by magic. Otherwise anyone could wipe my letters and write anything they wanted, keeping my signature at the bottom.” Minerva sighed. She was out of options. “You’ll have to wash off in the bathroom.” “I can’t.” she said miserably. “Yes you can, it’s only over there, you’ve seen it before.” “No, I mean I can’t.” “What- you’re stuck, aren’t you.” “Yes.” “I told you when you were a teenager to stop carrying all those heavy books.” He stood up easily, she noted sourly, and moved behind her. She jumped as she felt his hand on his back. “Albus, what are you doing? Just fetch Poppy!” “How do you suggest I do that? Fawkes is out, I can’t reach the fireplace and I can’t use my wand.” Neither of them knew that Fawkes was in fact hiding for the express purpose of avoiding being sent for Poppy Pomfrey, or anyone at all. Minerva took a deep breath. Calm, Minerva. He definitely doesn’t remember. This is just a friendly gesture. In fact, Albus remembered very well. He only hoped she didn’t. He’d woken up and the first thing he’d seen was her face. Just like he’d imagined so many times. Stupid. Minerva sighed as her muscles relaxed. She sat up and rotated her shoulders. “Thank you da- Albus.” Her cheeks flamed as she’d realised what she’d nearly said. Thankfully he didn’t seem to notice. She was in such a hurry to get to the bathroom and cool her cheeks that she forgot entirely that she was still stuck to him. Albus tripped over the chair and crashed into Minerva. “Oh, and there I was hoping we could manage a day without renewing our close acquaintance with the floor.” Minerva found that reverting to sarcasm and hiding behind the mask of Professor McGonagall helped. “Sorry.” Albus mumbled, helping her to her feet. She laughed. Apparently it was effective on Headmasters of highly prestigious schools. Then again, Albus was just a big kid at heart. “Why are you apologising? It was all my fault. Come on then.”
“Irma? Irma? Irma Pince, I know you’re in here!” “No shouting in a library, Minerva.” Minerva glared at him. “Irma!” “Oh well, she’s not here. Let’s go.” Albus tried not to sound too relieved. The librarian might be one of Minerva’s friends but she had always scared him slightly. “We need to get this sorted!” Minerva shook their joined hands in his face. “Look, we don’t need her. Accio hand books!” “Albus, no!” Minerva clapped her free hand over his mouth but it was too late. Books began to rain down on them from the shelves. Minerva dragged them under a table and they watched the books bouncing across the floor. “Irma’s going to kill you.” Minerva announced. “All I did was summon useful books!” “Albus, there is a time to use wandless magic and that was not it!” “But it could just be that all these books are useful.” Albus looked hopeful. Minerva reached out and pulled a couple in. Flipping them over, she showed Albus the titles. “Ah.” “I don’t think that the Handy Guide to Quidditch Fouls or the Handbook of Everyday Charms are going to be much use, are they?” “Um…no.” He looked sheepish. Minerva swept enough books away so as to allow them to crawl out from under the table. “I think we’d better make ourselves scarce.” “For the next ten years?” “Not long enough.” Minerva muttered. They were picking their way gingerly across the new uneven floor when emerald green flames flared in the fireplace. “Run!” Albus cried. Irma Pince was just in time to see a corner of a green robe whipping around a corner. “Minerva McGonagall! Come back here!” A few passing Ravenclaws were slightly stunned by the sight of their strict Transfigurations professor and Headmaster running along the corridor hand in hand, laughing so much they could hardly breathe, Madam Pince’s screams of rage and promises of dire retribution following them. One dared to stick his head around the door. “Madame Pince-” was as far as he got before he saw the devastation and Madame Pince flew at him, shrieking “Get out!” By lunchtime, the story had spread throughout the school and there were at least five versions of how and why McGonagall and Dumbledore had completely wrecked the library. Meanwhile, Minerva and Albus had reached her office. They leaned against the door for several minutes, trying to catch their breath. This was easier said than done; every time they caught each other’s eye, laughter would overwhelm them again. “Hogsmeade? Portkey to Australia?” Albus suggested eventually. “Hogsmeade.” Minerva confirmed.

ARGH! They are both so ridiculously, unimaginably stupid! *It* happened and now they're too scared to talk about it, and they both remember. *Sigh* What's worse is I can really imagine this being true.
Update soon, I hope you got your 2 pages on Louis XII written on time.

A/N: I think this might be my quickest update...haven't checked though.
“Apparate? Has the sugar finally destroyed the last shreds of any sanity you might have had? Apparate stuck together like this? With our magic being used together? We might end up splinched! Or overshoot our destination by a thousand miles and materialise at the bottom of the Atlantic!” “Perhaps not then.” “Maybe not.” They walked together in silence for a while. It was a comfortable silence but they felt anything but. I can’t ask. By the way Albus, did you know you kissed me this morning? You didn’t? Never mind. Minerva, I would like to apologise for the way I behaved this morning. You don’t know what I’m talking about? Well… No. Better let sleeping dragons lie. They were soon within sight of Hogsmeade and Minerva turned to Albus with a smile that hurt her cheeks. “Where to first? Honeydukes, I suppose?” Albus pushed his thoughts away and agreed eagerly.
News spread fast in Hogsmeade. They visited Honeydukes, where Albus bought sherbet lemons and Minerva ginger newts as usual, Madame Malkins, where Albus tried to persuade Minerva of the wonderfulness of a certain material and Minerva attempted to retain her sight and Zonko’s (Minerva was literally dragged inside, but it was quite useful. The proprietor was still as scared of her as he had been at school and gave her a full list of the Weasley twins’ purchases.) Minerva gave thanks that they were not in Diagon Alley for then Albus would probably want to buy her some cat toys from the Magical Menagerie just as Albus made a joke about buying her some cat toys to ‘add to her collection’ next time they were in Diagon Alley. She gave him the most ferocious glare she could muster, both to dissuade him from purchasing said toys on said visit to said shop and out of suspicion that he had performed Legilimency on her. She knew he was all too likely to buy her the toys, but she couldn’t believe he would have invaded her mind without her permission. By the time they walked into the Three Broomsticks, every shop owner in Hogsmeade knew that Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall were walking about hand in hand. “Professors!” Madame Rosmerta bustled over. The Three Broomsticks was very quiet; in fact it was empty. “What would you like?” “A Butterbeer and a Gillywater, please.” They had just seated themselves, with only slight difficulty, facing each other across a small round table with their clasped hands outstretched across the table, when Madame Rosmerta brought their drinks. “There you go, Professors. And I just like to say that I’m sure you’ll be very happy together.” They stared at her in confusion, before realisation dawned. Minerva resisted the urge to knock herself unconscious against the table and stared into her Gillywater, suddenly wishing it was Firewhisky. Albus was left to explain awkwardly, with the acute sense that his beard wasn’t quite disguising his embarrassment as his whole face felt as if it was on fire. Madame Rosmerta muttered an apology and hurried back to the bar, slightly unconvinced. However, watching as they struggled to open Albus’ Butterbeer, she was reluctantly convinced. After all, they couldn’t be that attached that they couldn’t let go of each other’s hand at all, could they? It wasn’t helping them at all. Minerva gripped the bottle with her free hand as Albus attempted to lever off the top of the bottle. She was beginning to seriously contemplate breaking it open with magic when Albus managed to jerk the top off. Unfortunately, somehow this led to them both lying on the floor on top of a puddle of Butterbeer and broken glass. Madame Rosmerta gave a shriek of dismay and hurried over. “What happened? Are you alright? They picked themselves up, careful not to overbalance the other. It seemed that their robes had protected them against any cuts. “It would seem so. Nothing bruised but our pride.” Minerva scowled. Speak for yourself. He gave her hand a slight reassuring squeeze. They both gasped with pain and shock. “What is it?” They lifted their joined hands. There was a large shard of glass protruding from between their hands. Minerva delicately removed it and placed it carefully on the table. Madame Rosmerta gaped as their mingled blood dripped from where it must be pooling between their palms. She was sure it shouldn’t be glowing like that. “We seem to be making rather a mess.” They carefully turned their hands so that their palms lay horizontally. “Sorry about this, Rosmerta.” Albus continued. “We’ll clean it up of course. Minerva?” As Minerva retrieved her wand and cast spells to clean the carpet of Butterbeer and blood, mend the broken bottle and right the chairs, Albus explained that he couldn’t use his wand. Seeing Minerva put her wand back in her pocket, Madame Rosmerta asked “Why don’t you heal your hands?” “For one thing, I can’t reach the wounds. And I’m not sure what effect a spell will have as they are already charmed. I think we’d better go back to Hogwarts and ask Poppy for a potion.” “Do you need any help?” They were both paler than usual. “No, thank you, Rosmerta. We’ll be fine. Sorry to have caused such trouble.” As she watched them go, there were two thoughts vying for precedence in her head. One was the amusement that someone, or someones, finally got sick to death of the two of them and did something about it. The other was more worrying, an idea of what the glowing blood meant. She crossed to the fireplace, lit it and tossed some Floo Powder in. She wanted to check with the certain someones she knew were responsible.
Poppy Pomfrey crossed to the fireplace and threw Floo Powder in. “Irma Pince!” “Poppy, I suggest you leave. Now.” “Rosmerta’s just been to see me. Minerva and Albus were there-” Irma clapped her hands over her ears. “I do not want to hear about them!” “This is important! Rosmerta said their hands got cut and that their blood glowed. She thinks- she thinks it might have been some form of a bonding. They’re on their way back now. Can you look it up?” “Look it up? Look it up? They destroyed my library! How on earth am I meant to find anything?” “Irma, this is important!” “Alright, alright.” Poppy heard someone approaching. “That’s probably them now. Have to go, thanks Irma!” She pulled her head out of the fire and doused it just in time to see Albus Dumbledore walk rather unsteadily through the doors. Minerva stumbled beside him. “Make this woman see sense, Poppy. She insisted on walking all the way back to Hogsmeade when she’s near to collapse.” “I am perfectly fine. It’s just a gash.” Poppy might have believed her more if her face hadn’t been grey and if she hadn’t been swaying where she stood. “A gash that you’ve lost a lot of blood through. It’s half an hour from Hogsmeade.” She presented them with two vials each. “First, the purple top. It’s a clotting potion. Then the red top, it’s a replenishing potion.” Albus and Minerva looked down at the vials, looked at each other, looked back to the vials, looked at their joined hands, back to the vials and finally up to Poppy. She took the tops off. Albus made a face and may have been about to whine or say something along the lines of ‘Do I have to?” when a ferocious glare from Poppy stopped him. Minerva swallowed the potion in one and made a face. Albus looked slightly disappointed when Poppy handed him an opened vial, as if he had been looking forward to repeating the charade of looks. Poppy watched them go, her instructions obviously forgotten already. She knew that their exhaustion wasn’t only due to blood loss (they’d both survived two wars after all) but also draining magic. They would recognise the sensation if they were expecting it. But she still hoped Rosmerta was wrong.
That hope was dashed three hours later when the head of Irma Pince appeared in her fireplace. “What took you so long?” “My library isn’t exactly organised at the moment, thanks to them!” “I know, I know, I’m sorry.” She sighed at her expression. “It’s not good news, is it?” Irma’s head shook wordlessly. “Too far, too fast.” Poppy muttered. “But someone needed to do something about them! And we weren’t to know this would happen.” “It’s only because Rosmerta’s a hopeless romantic that we know at all.” “Do you fancy telling Albus and Minerva that they’re legally married through some ancient binding?” Poppy exclaimed and instantly paled. She wished she hadn’t said that out loud. “There’s worse.” Irma said grimly. “Oh no.”
