For the past two weeks Minerva McGonagall had savored every second of being a mother. She couldn’t have been more satisfied, happier, or feel more blessed. She had two wonderful little babies Apollo and Diana, a loving husband, and in her opinion the best job in the world, but possibly best of all Grindervauld was gone. Albus had finally defeated the Dark Lord. The past weeks had been filled with parties and celebrations, none of which Minerva had attended because of the babies. Now was finally the time to have some time with Albus alone at last.
The dark haired witch laid her Diana down in her crib kissing her forehead. Minerva sat down in a rocking chair Apollo still in her arms trying to keep the baby from fussing. From the moment they’d been born Apollo screamed much more than his sister. “Are you going to stay up for Papa again?” Minerva chuckled low in her throat from the first night he was gone Albus had come in to check on the babies regardless of the fact if Minerva was already in bed or up waiting for him the first thing he did was come check on his cubs. Apollo had quickly figured out his father’s little tradition and refused to sleep without his father there.
“He won’t have to wait long.” A deep voice came from the door way. “Albus how many times do we have to go though this? You’re never going to be able to sneak up on me no matter how good a wizard.” She chuckled a reply getting up to give her husband a kiss.
“How are the little demigods?”
“Albus,” She glared.
“It’s true Tabby.”
“Stop it right now or you my dear headmaster will be sleeping alone for the rest of the week and it’s only Monday.”
Albus’ face could only be described as completely and utterly hurt, “That’s a low blow Minerva.” “Albus.” Her features were in a look for the most part reserved for the Weasly twins when they misbehaved, “Don’t even start with me…. Or you won’t get your treat tonight.” His eyes brightened significantly, “You go get ready, and I’ll put him to bed.”
“Albus.” Minerva rolled her eyes, “You…. We’ve been married for six years, I’ve been pregnant twice, and you still want me…. Those love potions must be working.” She laughed sauntering off.
“Your mother is much too wicked. That hat must have messed up when it sorted her she has too much of a Slytherin personality to be a Gryffindor.” Albus chuckled rocking his son in his arms.
Within ten minutes Minerva had changed into a long emerald silk nightie that clung in all the right places, its neckline plunging between her creamy breasts. She left her long ebony tresses loose flowing down her back their ends curling just above her curvy hips. Carefully she unclipped the emerald and sapphire earrings from her ears placing them into her jewelry box. “You look breathtaking.” Albus said from the door way. “You’re not supposed to see me yet.”
“Wicked.”
“Yes I am does it look like I care?” She giggled.
“Not particularly.” He grabbed her around the waist, “You are far too beautiful to not see.” “Albus stop.” Minerva laughed trying halfheartedly trying to get away, “Tonight is supposed to be special. It is the first night we’ve had alone since the twins were born.”
“Minerva I’m a patient man but I want you so badly Ms Love-Potion.”
“Patience is a virtue Love.” She giggled pushing him back onto the bed.
An all too familiar scream came from a bedroom down the hallway, “Whose turn is it this time?” Minerva sighed. “Yours.” He replied planting a kiss on her décolletage, another scream joined the first, and then another. “Sounds like we’re both going.”
“I’ll get Apollo and Diana you get Ceres.”
“Hurry back Albus.”
“I will.” He gave her one last quick kiss as he went to the twins room and Minerva went to the opposite end of the hallway to go to their eldest daughter’s room.
“Hello there my darling.” Minerva picked up her year old daughter from her bed, “What’s wrong?” She bounced the toddler on her hip. Minerva knew what was wrong since the twins had been born Ceres had been resentful of her siblings. They’d taken their toll on Minerva’s concentration; sadly all three of their children had inherited Albus’ need to occupy her thoughts most of the time. Ceres was only a year older than her two siblings but she acted as if it were only a few months. “Shush.” Minerva struggled to ignore her arousal still bubbling in her body. “I know honey.”
When the McGonagall and Dumbledore obstinacy was combined bad things happened. Despite how much Minerva loved her daughter Ceres was the most stubborn children in the world, when she put her mind to it she could stay up for hours. “Baby come on go to sleep for me please.” Minerva settled in the old oak rocking chair, a present from Nicholas and Perenelle. “Midnight moonlight shining through the curtain lace Paints a perfect picture on your perfect face. One sweet angel sleeping in my arms. You are the promise I knew God would keep. You are the gift that makes my world complete. And you'll never know how much I love you. But I'll keep on telling you my whole life through Now I believe in miracles, and you're the reason why So dream on while I sing you my angel's lullaby” She sang half under her breath rocking the baby.
Within the last few words of the song Ceres’ eyelid’s fluttered, Minerva cautiously got up placing her on her bed. “Finally.” She kissed her on the head and retreated to her room. Albus was still trying to get the twins to bed apparently as he was still down the hall, that man bless his soul couldn’t sing. “Poor babies.” She chortled to herself pouring a goblet of Firewiskey. He was tone deaf, very tone deaf. Rolanda had quite a few times recommended Minerva get him to try out for that muggle TV show called American Idol or something like that. Albus would make quite the punching bag.
The cries hushed slightly finally stopping. Albus’ form finally emerged from outside the door way, “I take it you got the simple job dear.” He strode over to her slipping her arms about her waist. “That’s what you think.” She kissed him slipping her tongue into his hot mouth, exploring every craves, every nitch, every inch of heaven she knew, “I love you Mr. Dumbledore.”
“I love you Mrs. Dumbledore.”
