Author’s Note: This song fiction is based off of Mark Harris’ “Wish You Were Here”. It is a Christian song, which I know is ironic because of the controversy. However, I find it quite appropriate. I got the idea for this song fiction while I was listening to the VA Tech version of the song. This song is from Albus’s point of view after he dies in HPB.

The memories of us are the ones I cherished the most. Min, don’t you ever forget that.


And all of the lifetimes that we've had to share
Live even though we're apart

We’ve gone through so much together. My only regret is that I did not get to let the world know I was married to such a wonderful person. We had to pretend we were not together for all of our fifty years of marriage. I did this to protect you. I could not have lived had anything happened to you.

Now we’re physically apart, but we’ll be together someday. Please, keep holding on, Minerva. Remember the ones that we love never truly leave us. I’ll always be in your heart, Min.

I’m in a much better place now. I’ll be with all our relatives and friends who sacrificed themselves for our cause. I’m with Lily, James, and Sirius among others. Stay strong, Minerva.
