I was hoping to collect a few opinions from fellow Fan-fiction writers, so here it goes,
I would like your honest opinions on a career choice for my belabored fanfiction 'Minerva teaching in America'
Some ideas that I had Being the obsessed orchestra geek that I am: Orchestra teacher and or Music teacher Science teacher (hmmmmm) History Professor And that's about all I have for now...
Ideas would be greatly appreciated (Really i'm open to ANYTHING at this point)
Much thanks, Prodigy

For Min... I'd say probably History. That seems like something she would know quite a bit about.

English teacher, perhaps (Literature and Grammar). I think this may suit her best.
It's a good story, I hope you continue it.

I would agree with those above. English (Grammar and Composition and English Literature) or American/World History are subjects I can see her being interested in and teaching.
I can't picture her as a music teacher of any kind. She doesn't strike me as being especially musical (now if her animagus form had been a robin...maybe).
I could also see her as a physics teacher, because the laws of physics seems to me as something that would somewhat apply to the subject of transfiguration.
She also reminds me, somewhat, of an algebra teacher I had...so maybe a math teacher.

I agree with the English or History teacher. I was thinking a musical teacher of some kind, but maybe she could give lessons on the side. I'm obsessed with band, as well, so you aren't alone, my dear.

Don't give into the bandos! (coughkatecough) I mean... well... Min seems like she'd be mildly more sophisticated, musically speaking, and (nothing against bandos) would actually be more likely to teach in an orchestral program. Still, though, I'd see her as more of an english teacher, or maybe physics. That's an excellent idea, by the way, JKMcGonagall. When I was in sixth and seventh grade, my english teacher was a short, strict, severe older woman with rectangular glasses and a fondness for the color green (but unfortunately, moreso for the color pink). She sometimes makes me think of Minerva, in an odd sort of way.

I will keep all of those wonderful ideas in mind, thank you all very much for the advice. The career part of the story won't be coming for at least another chapter though. 'I still need to figure out a way to transition Min out of the hospital.'... A few ideas have been muddling around in my over croweded mind. ^^ Thanks again, Prodigy

I would say a Math teacher, I mean she teaches Transfiguration and if you look at the problems, and calculations they have to do, I'd say Math would suit her best. Because she seems to like having definate answers and being on top of things.

I would say English teacher. Grammer, punctuation, and essay writing. Stuff like that. ~mmadlyinlove~

The grammer does seem like a good idea, and imagine coming to some modern day American high school where we use so much slang in our speech. That would undoubtedly frustrate her.
