Just curious since me and my brother took our niece trick or treating yesterday and got very mixed reactions for trick or treating with her.

My friends and I all went trick-or-treating, and they're all 14 or 13. But you couldn't really have let your niece go alone though, could you?

Depends. If you're escorting a child then it shouldn't matter how old you are because someone needs to go with the child (although maybe the escort shouldn't be collecting candy too).

I admit it I'm almost 16 and I still went this year!(and I was Minerva of all people lol) Okay I got forced into taking my lil cousin Colton and my lil sister Aspen but I still got candy myself. Around my house isn't isn't illegal to tricker-treat until you're 17 and I say as long as you're not an "adult" who cares. I felt like an idiot(think my bf was worse though lol he was Dumbledore in purple robes)

I'm mostly in it just to dress up, but if your heart wants to do, go for it! I saw an adult by himself trick-or-treating as Gandalf.
Anyway, I was escorting my nine year old cousin. I too was Minerva (though based off more of the books then the actual movies, but just because my resources are limited) and she was Bellatrix Lestrange. I decided to not get any candy since I don't really like candy that much and I'm on a diet. I thought people wouldn't give me some anyway. I got quite a different response. They all insisted on giving me candy. My neighborhood is rather nice.

All the HLY people here go egging, so I went to FP (another housing estate. but not the full name, y'know, in case any of you start stalking me or something  ) instead. Egging just doesn't appeal to me at all. |

Well, for Mischeif Night I went out and wrote various food products on windows. It was window chalk though, and comes off with a paper towel.
Andd of COURSE I went out for Halloween. Some creepin old man told me I was far too old for that sort of thing though, which at my seventeen years of age may be true. And I went as Bellatrix Lestrange. I'm so cooool.

Right i suppose but don't worry i don't egging i dress up as something from the dead and go out trick or treating with me wee bro that is dressed up as a power ranger and me pals.
I think some old lady said last year that she was afrid to live in orkney at haloween.
