Oh yeah! Been there, done that! grrr!! I was chatting with my best ADMM shipper friend... well, my best friend ever... and my best guy friend, Nicki came by our house... and he asked me where I met my online friend and of course I answered truthfully, "At FanFiction.Net where we write about Harry Potter... Pretty much always about Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall" And he goes, "What about them?" "They're together! duh!" "No they're not! Where does it say that they are, huh?" "Nowhere directly but I know they are!" "Camilla! They're old, wrinkled people! It's GROSS!"
Well, I almost slaped him.... I can't believe I actually had a CRUSH on this guy... *shakes head slowly* What a git...
Well, that's my experience... I pulled someone in though... *evil laugh* now Maja's addicted... mwahaha!!

Yeah that fanart is from one of my favorite MMAD fanfictions of all time. I think it's also what convinced my friend that MMAD is possible.
I know another one of my friends who isn't that big of a Harry Potter fan that much said that it was gross because they were old. Other than that...I don't bring it up too often.
Seriously, what's up with the whole "gross" excuse? Sounds awfully immature to me. They can at least say that they always though they were just friends or they just don't see it. Gross is a really stupid comment and I think contradictory in a way (after all, their grandparents are still together and one day they will be just as old). I'll stop ranting though.

MMAD shippers simply see the world differently- more clearly that is. We take the hints as they are given, and expand upon every possibility there lies. Except, of course, the possibilities are realities- Albus and Minerva were written down together since the dawn of time.
I adore this ship. I doubt that I will ever truly let go of it, even if I may say I have at one time or another. The possibilities continue to be endless, and some people that have not seen the inevitable signs of love that Albus and Minerva both share are at a great loss. Which is why I generally keep my mouth shut when addressing the reasons of 'why old people need love too'.
I nearly told my mother of what I write (for we do share a common literature interest in romance, though I am more likely to read and write fan-fiction than I am to read published works) today, but I decided against it. Having the concept of MMAD a secret is half the fun. Why else did they fall in love when it was in fact, strictly forbidden? Is that not how all famous romance stories begin? (Or, well, a great lot of them? --brilliant writing device in my opinion-- )
Let the MMADness reign, regardless of how others perceive the idea. There are still some healthy fans out there waiting for another phenomenal fan-fiction to read, and I am among the number.

Out of all my friends who are into the Harry Potter fandom and fanfiction, I'm the only one who ships ADMM. They call it "your weird ship" when refering to it. They think it's gross because they're old. :S They ship Sirius/Lupin, Harry/Draco, Giant Squid/Toast...and they think ADMM is weird?? lol I just don't get it. Can't old people fall in love?! I actually thought I was really weird for shipping ADMM thanks to my friends. That was before I found all the fanfic for them on ff.net and before I found this forum! It makes me love you guys all the more! lol

Everyone thinks I'm weird anyway so this just cemented the fact.
I at first thought something was hidden and then I found you guys and the ppl on Fanfic.net and i was like....OMG there are people who think this too!!
I just think they are cute and I think old people need love too. Sometimes they are cuter and the younger couples.
LONG LIVE MMADNESSS!!!
