Short, and not at all what I wanted for my first poem here, but Fawkes landed on my shoulder and insisted. So here you are...

You...you are perfect my dear.
Perhaps I did not see that at first,
Perhaps I was blinded.
(By your beauty of course)

But I see it now,
As I never have before.
To tell you of your place?
You are my Everything.

Take my hand in yours
And lead me away.
Take me home...
To wherever you are.

War is arising.
Winter bites the air.
Soon all will fade away to rebirth.
(To die or kill again)

But this love I’ve found for you?
Never.
Because you and I, my dear...

...We are forever.
