Flutter by, my butterfly Tell me when you reach the Spring Gossamer soft of gentle breeze carried under silken wing
Oh, Flutter by, my butterfly But ask me not if I would go Risk it not, a chance to miss I could not lose what I might know.
Flutter by, my butterfly Go swiftly, sweetly towards the dawn Don’t wait for me, I must beseech, Pray, turn away and carry on.
Flutter by, my butterfly To think one single, simple thing should cause the earthquake of my downfall Oh subtle flutter of your wing.
Please, flutter by, my butterfly That I might bask in passing beauty, ‘Lo Perchance to dream of futures fleeting Fading where your form may go.
Flutter by, my butterfly I shall miss what never was Drift on to the horizon Danger lies ‘neath crumbling laws.
Flutter by, my butterfly Allow me this once chance to sing As the melody flutters past with the wind My heart carried away on butterfly wing.

I enjoyed reading this poem but it brought sad memories to my mind. I hope that was the intention and if not maybe I'm feeling down and will have to reread it later. Kassie

This was amazing and after studying Edgar Alan Poe's the raven for 3 hours it was great to come home and read something written in the same kind of way yet more cheerful ;D

This poem brought many thoughts to mind and the urge to weep was strong so I think I'll go listen to some hard rock and try to find a middle ground again. Kammie
