I told myself I wouldn't do it
I wouldn't let you down again
But try as I may
Everytime I looked at you
I knew I couldn't keep my promise
I couldn't wait around any longer
For something that may not come

As I came closer to you
Far away, I still was
And you said you'd wait
Though I'm sure your patience is thinning
Because mine sure would be too
I know you think you're letting me down
But I assure you it's me who's doing this all to myself
