Broken and Dark

A/N: I actually wrote this with my favorite LOST ship (Jack and Kate or Jate) in mind, but then I saw how well it would fit our couple if we are to take JKR's interview as canon. These two were destined for each other, but never realized their unconscious connection...
Anyway, it is written in sonnet form with three quatrains and a couplet, each line with ten syllables, and alternate quatrain lines rhyming with both couplet lines rhyming. I hope you can appreciate the power of this type of poetry that I revere.

Broken and Dark

Have you ever noticed when love ends wrong?
Those destined for passion can't make amends.
So they live apart, each sings a sad song...
Of unknown joy lost and miserable ends.

They fool themselves by living in faux bliss.
Wrapped tight in another's arms they find glee
Yet a vast hole grows deeper with each kiss.
They start to realize 'twas ne'er meant to be.

So they search far and wide to fill that hole.
Then the gravest torture of all takes place.
The only person who completes their soul...
Does not seek them, nor will give sweet embrace.

They say true love will exalt you on high.
But when lovers are split, each heart will die.

Well, I don't mean to sound whiny, but this has been on here for over a month now and still hasn't gotten a review. Is my poetry really THAT bad? I would really appreciate some feedback. Thanks.
