TEXTA/N: This is the first story I've posted on this site, and I am a bit nervous... This was on ff.net, so maybe you've read it...please review!
Summary: After she found Moody and his bouncing ferret, Minerva decides to take it up with Albus.
It was nearly an hour after her run-in with Moody and his "bouncing ferret" in the Entrance Hall, but Minerva McGonagall still could not quite believe it. After she had transformed Mr. Malfoy back to his human form, and after telling off Alastor, she had managed only to get a minimal amount of food at lunch.
Albus, of course, had noticed her unusual lack of appetite and had commented, saying quietly, "My dear, if you continue to eat this much at meal times, I shall have to feed you myself." Minerva wasn't entirely opposed to that idea, and had very nearly told him so. Instead, she had asked him softly if she could have a few words with him later, after dinner.
Managing to teach all of her afternoon classes and keep her patience- and her sanity-it was with a tired sigh that she made her way to dinner. Again, Albus noted her food intake, and again he commented. Minerva was too worn out from keeping her emotions in check to comment. Sighing as she got up, she took the arm which Albus offered her and let him led her to his office.
Stopping in front of a large stone gargoyle, Albus murmured the password ("Ginger Newts") and clambered onto the spinning staircase, Minerva following close behind him.
Once inside his oval office, the large doors closed behind them, Minerva threw herself into her husband's arms and sighed, deciding to cuddle for a bit. Albus, apparently, didn't have a problem with this, as he picked her up and carried her over to the large purple couch in the corner of the office. Once they had settled in the other's arms, Minerva decided to tell him what had happened earlier.
"...And after I turned Mr. Malfoy back to his normal self ("As normal as he is," Albus inserted, earning a light slap on the chest from Minerva) I gave Alastor a good telling off, and I said that he isn't allowed to use human transfiguration on the students or anyone! And then he tried to tell me that Malfoy had attacked Potter and so it was a necessary precaution. Albus, I'm worried about the safety of this school with him around...and what happened to his "constant vigilance?"
Albus had listened the whole time and now he said, "My love, I do not know what we can do about Alastor, but I know that he will not do that again. He is a smart man, after all, and no one likes to run into your Scottish temper twice. And you must admit, love, it seems rather funny now, does it not?"
Minerva couldn't have agreed more, and began giggling. Albus soon joined and they stayed this way for quite some time.
After they had collected themselves a bit more, Albus bent down, touching his lips to her ear, and said softly, "Did you get enough dinner or must I feed you myself?"
Taken by surprise, she could only stare at him. After a few moments, though, she went along, glancing upwards through her lashes and murmuring, "I think that I might be a little malnourished. Maybe you could be of assistance...?"
And that he was. He was able to help her so greatly that she wasn't hungry until breakfast...
~!~I don't really like it at all... Should I keep working on writing or stick to the sidelines and just read and review?!? PlEaSe RePlY!!! <3Kates<3 (sorry for spellnig mistakes! not beta-ed!)
