This is my first ever fic so please be kind, I have had it on my computer for quite awhile I have never had the guts to post it anywhere. I know it is probably quite bad but i just couldn't get the idea out of my head.
She was late, she Minerva McGonagall was late, she was never late and if it hadn't been for that damn Longbottom boy she wouldn't be late now. But as it was she was heading into the staff meeting 27 minutes late. I mean if she is going to be late she might as well be precise about because she knew that the likes of Rolanda were going to make a very big deal out of this, but she was reluctant because it is not everyday a student accidentally vanishes all the clothes worn by the most prim and proper professor in the school. Oh yes Rolanda was going to have a field day.
She had been teaching the fifth years vanishing spells as the first lesson in the OWL preparations. Now ordinarily she wouldn't allow Frank Longbottom anywhere near anything so complicated but since he had started courting Alice Feathers last April his grades had been improving, she had certainly had a very good influence on his studies, but of course inevitably she would still catch him on a bad day. All was going so well most of the class had managed to vanish their snails and so she thought to give his confidence a boost she would ask him to demonstrate in front of those who had not succeeded. He got nervous and instead of pointing his wand at the snail he pointed it at her, before she had a chance to stop him he said the words and her clothes were gone. Now this was not a situation she was un-used as far as to say in the past people had been know to vanish her clothes for reasons she would rather not think about just at this moment, but in front of thirty fifth years was not one of those situations and although she had her wits about her and within a minute she was once again fully clothed the damage had been done. She looked around the class most of the students were stunned and very embarrassed, this in her eyes was acceptable. Frank on the other hand was mortified, he was so embarrassed he was practically inconsolable. It was the nearing the end of the last lesson of the day so she let the class go, Frank stayed behind. She spent nearly an hour calming him down, listening to his apology and trying to explain to him the importance of careful wand work, needless to say this was why she was stood outside the staff room 27 minutes late and counting.
She walked in. There was total silence. They know. Still there was silence and then from the far corner of the room there was a giggle, she directed a level ten death glare in the direction of the giggle. The giggling stopped Rolanda looked up “fully clothed I see, pity” and that was it she saw red and aimed one of Molly Weasley's (another of her fifth year cubs) favorite curses the bat bogey hex in her direction. Once again there was silence before Albus Dumbledore burst into laughter and the whole staff followed suite, including Minerva herself. Well at least she did once Albus persuaded her that although it may have been one of her most embarrassing moments of the year at least Longbottom couldn't do much worse to her.
Once again sorry about crapness.
