I would so have lost it with the shower bit! I would've been like, "Excuse me, but even though you are his mother and have seen him naked before, and although I am a woman and have the same parts as you do, this is STILL MY SHOWER AND I WANT MY PRIVACY!" LOL! I would've started shouting at her and demanding that she give me privacy with my husband... Even if she IS his mother! LOL! Great job! ~mmadlyinlove~

~Chapter 5- Her or me~
Alvina had now stayed at Albus and Minerva’s place for a week. It was a long hard week for Minerva filled with drinking and attempts to calm herself down. Luckily, today she’d have a good excuse for Albus and her to go out together this evening without Alvina. Poppy and Alastor were inviting them for dinner. All of Minerva’s friends were going: Pomona Sprout, Rolanda Hooch, and a few others.
After about an hour of getting ready, Minerva and Albus were finally dressed. Minerva was wearing a gorgeous black satin dress underneath a dark green shawl while Albus was sporting new purple dressrobes with shooting stars all over. They were heading out the door when Alvina approached them.
“Ah, Albus. It’s nice to see that you’re ready. Now come on, we can’t be late.” Said Alvina as she grabbed a fur coat.
Minerva raised an eyebrow. “What is she talking about, Albus?”
“I have no idea. Mother what are you talking about?”
“My dear friend Hester is throwing a celebration in honor of her son Willfred. He just got accepted into the Wizengamot and is bragging about it. I told her I’d bring you with me.”
Albus was absolutely speechless. He didn’t know what exactly to say until Minerva elbowed him in the ribs.
“I-I’m sorry Mother but Minerva and I have a previous engagement. I can’t make it to the party right now.”
“Oh nonsense. Albus you can see your friends any time. This party is only going to happen once.”
“Alvina, it doesn’t matter if Albus can see them anytime. We promised to be their and we are going to keep our promise.” Said Minerva firmly.
“Albus I’m an old woman. I’m not going to be around forever and I want to spend as much time as possible with you while I still can.” Said Alvina tearfully.
Albus was absolutely dumbfounded. For the first time in his whole life, he had no idea what to do. Here he was, trapped in the middle between the two most important women in his life. His mother and his beloved wife. He knew that if he chose one, the other would be quite upset. He hesitated for a moment, which was a big mistake because Minerva noticed immediately.
“Alvina, may I speak to Albus alone for a moment?” asked Minerva in a quite angry voice.
“You may say whatever you wish in front of me. I see no reason why I should leave the room.” Said Alvina snobbishly.
“Fine, then we’ll leave.” Said Minerva as she pulled Albus by the arm into the kitchen, casting a spell so Alvina wouldn’t be able to overhear the conversation.
“Albus, what the hell do you think you are doing?” asked Minerva angrily.
“I’m sorry Minerva, but I can’t say no to my mother.”
“So you’re going to leave me and go with her?” Tears started to form in Minerva’s eyes.
“Minerva, she has a point. We can see them anytime. Especially now since its summer. Besides, this means a lot to Mother.”
“No it doesn’t Albus! She just wants to bring you so she can brag about having a famous son so she’ll draw attention away from Hester’s son!”
“Minerva, I can’t let you speak that way about my mother?”
“Why not? She speaks this way about me!”
“Minerva, I’m sorry. I truly am. I love you with all my heart but I love my mother to.”
“Albus, I’m your damn wife. Not Alvina. In our vows, you promised to stand with me through thick and thin. Are you telling me that you lied?”
“Of course not! Don’t you know how hard it is to be in the middle between you and my mother?”
The tears finally fell. “Albus don’t make it seem like you’re the innocent one here! There is no middle between your mother and me because you’re always on her side! Every time I see here, all I hear is criticism! It’s like she thinks I’m not good enough for you. Like I don’t deserve you and that she wishes with all her heart that you didn’t marry me!”
Albus went over to Minerva and hugged her. She pushed him away.
“So what are you going to do, Albus? I’m sorry but you’re going to have to choose. Me or her.”
Albus kissed Minerva on the cheek and walked out the door. Minerva cried a few more tears as she watched him go. She heard them apparate away and went to lay down on the couch.

And Albus, needs to be slapped; Minerva was absolutely right about Alvina's intentions.
gahhh...I can't believe he chose his mom over Min!
Anyway...another brilliant chapter!

Ohhhh...I am so angry with Albus at this point that the words I want to use aren't acceptable in a public forum...grrrrrr!  He seriously needs to rethink his priorities but if I was Minerva, Albus and his bloody mother would come home to an empty house. I'd make him hunt me down and beg me to forgive him for treating me that way. Fantastic update and I hope we won't have to wait long for another one! |

~Chapter 6- He did what?!?~
“Minerva? Minerva darling, please wake up.” Said a woman’s voice that sounded familiar.
“Poppy, I don’t think she can hear you especially after drinking ½ a bottle of…. Ogden’s Best Firewhiskey.” Said another female’s voice
“She gets knocked out after drinking only ½ a bottle? What the hell? She’s a Scot! She’s suppose to be able to hold her liquor!” said a gruff male voice.
“She must have cried herself to sleep. Look at her face.” A gentle hand stroked Minerva’s face.
Minerva began to stir from her sleep. “Albus?” she asked drowsily as she began to open her eyes.
“No it’s Pomona. But close enough.”
Minerva opened her eyes fully to see 4 people near her. Poppy, Pomona, and Rolanda were standing around her by the couch while Alastor was examining the bottle of firewhiskey she was drinking earlier.
“What are you guys doing here?” asked Minerva.
“I think the question is what are you doing here.” Countered Rolanda
“You were 2 hours late so we got worried and wanted to see what was the matter.” Explained Poppy.
“Is everything alright?” asked Pomona
Minerva explained everything. All about Alvina’s unexpected visit, what she had put Minerva through, and her little spat with Albus. She was sobbing by the end of it.
“Oh, darling. It’s going to be alright.” Said Poppy as all 3 of the women hugged Minerva.
“Don’t think about it to much, Minerva. Albus always was a Mummy’s boy. Hell, that woman still buys underwear for him.” Said Alastor as he patted Minerva’s shoulder.
“I thought he stopped doing that a year ago.” Said Rolanda.
“Ha! Is that what he told you?” exclaimed Alastor
“But what am I going to do? What if she doesn’t leave? My marriage will be ruined!” sobbed Minerva.
“Oh honey, don’t worry. Everything’s going to be just fine. I’ll drag Alvina out of the United Kingdom if I have to.” Said Rolanda.
Minerva laughed a little.
“Don’t worry, Min. I’m sure Albus is going to come back any minute to make up.” Said Pomona.
“Yeah. No man can deal with his mother that long. Even the greatest wizard in the world.” Said Alastor.

I miss-heard the lyric of a song today, but I think what I thought I heard is a perfect idea. Albus should "put his mother in a cupboard" (metaphorically, although literally has certain temptations), and then go and do everything in his power to prove to Minerva how much he loves her. And Min should leave before they get home too! Albus needs to be shown the error of his ways.

It's time for a friends-save-your-sanity moment.
The girls need to rescue Minerva before she commits a homicide. Go for a weekend somewhere. A spa, maybe - get a massage - relax. If she stays, he's going to come home, dry her tears, and promise never to do it again. Then, the next morning, Mommy Dearest is making him chocolate chip and lemon drop pancakes and asking if he whats the underwear with the little purple dragons on them. Time for some tough love.
I really love this idea. Also, I promise I won't brainstorm any more of your fic. Sorry.

I can't wait for your next chapter. Love the story.
I love how Alvina is just so... grr. aggrivating. I kind of hope that this turns out the way a movie my sisters just made me watch turned out. The mother in law stopped all her critisim towards the wife when she heard her husband stick up for his wife. She said, "I've never heard you talk about Dorothy like that... it's about time!"
lol that's probably not how this is gonna happen, is it? Ah, oh well, excellent story so far, and I'm looking forward to an excellent ending too!
