Author's Sister's Note: ha. Okay, so I'm putting here, because I think it's really funny, but Cody was all "I'm not posting it" so I decided that I didn't care. It's good. So I'm posting it.
Reviews would be great, and let's hope I'm alive to read them all.
ha.
Minerva thanked the gods above that it was summer, so as she pitifully ran through the corridors, her bun coming undone along the way, with tears pouring out of her beautiful green eyes, the children who would be making their way to their second classes wouldn’t see her. Instead, she heard an empty echo of her feet hitting the stone floor and her voice faltering as she told herself that she was being stupid for crying over a silly thing like this.
She was caught up in trying to stop her tears, a battle she was loosing badly, that she didn’t even notice Rolanda Hooch coming towards her, until she slammed right into her shoulder.
Minerva lost her footing, but before she had the chance to fall, Rolanda grabbed her arm, and pulled her upright. She, of course, was used to being hit by other people, the only differences being that it was usually students, and it was usually 100 feet up in the air. Rolanda frowned when she noticed that her friend was crying and avoiding her gaze at all costs. She backtracked her steps, pulling Minerva forward with her. She was surprised that Minerva wasn’t putting up a fuss.
Rolanda stopped at Minerva’s private rooms, and spoke the password that she had known only after several days of snooping. She liked to think that she wanted the password for times just like these, instead of the actual reason – just in case Minerva locked her out of her rooms in a fight.
Minerva, apparently feeling better, shot Rolanda a glare for knowing her password, and stepped into her rooms. Rolanda smiled a cheeky smile at her, before following her in.
“Okay, what happened?” Rolanda asked, as Minerva curled up on the couch, her head resting on the arm rest and her arms clutching onto a pillow for dear life.
“I… I told Albus …” she replied, her voice breaking.
“You told him?!” Rolanda’s eyes widened, as she sat down on the floor next to Minerva’s head and brushed a strand of her hair away from her face. She never dreamed Minerva would be the first to admit her feelings to Albus. She was certain that Professor Dumbledore would have to be the first.
Minerva wondered for a split second as to how Rolanda could know what Minerva was talking about, even before she actually said it, before she remembered that this was Rolanda Hooch she was talking about. So she just nodded – if she didn’t have to say it out loud, then she wasn’t going to.
Rolanda shook her head in amazement. “Wow… did he?”
Minerva shook her head no at what she reasoned Rolanda was saying.
“Bloody hell!” Rolanda said, angrily.
Before Minerva could weakly scold Rolanda for her language, Albus Dumbledore himself walked through Minerva’s door. She buried her head into her pillow, not wanting to see or talk to him at all.
Rolanda however, had plenty to say to the headmaster.
“Minerva I’m-“ He began, but Rolanda cut him off, after she jumped to her feet.
“What gives you the right to break her heart like that?” Rolanda began, pointing accusingly at the headmaster.
“I don-“ he started again, trying to express his confusion.
“You know exactly what I’m talking about!” she stepped forward. “Minerva is beautiful, smart, witty, talented and she’s bloody perfect for you!” Rolanda snapped.
Minerva’s head shot up in panic from her pillow, but before she could say anything to shut Rolanda up, Rolanda kept ranting.
“You should be grateful that such a young, amazing witch is in love with you!” Rolanda yelled heatedly.
The whole room paused. Rolanda was trying to catch her breath, and her arm lowered from where she was pointing at Minerva to indicate that Minerva was the witch who was in love with him. Minerva had stood up from the couch; her red, raw, puffy eyes wide open in shock. She felt completely numb as Rolanda just let out her biggest secret. Albus stood in shock as well, staring at Minerva, who was standing with her mouth open at Rolanda.
“You… you’re in love with me Minerva?” Albus stuttered.
Rolanda shook her head, frowning, wondering how such a dimwitted man became headmaster of Hogwarts. “Yes… she just told you that in your office.” She replied.
Rolanda turned back to look at Minerva, who was shaking her head at her friend blankly. “Wait…” Rolanda looked back at the headmaster, and then at Minerva. “You… you didn’t tell him you loved him?”
“NO!” Minerva found her voice and yelled at her.
Rolanda flinched, but her shocked expression curved into an apologetic smile. “Um… sorry?”
Minerva began to curse in Gaelic, but Rolanda had been in this situation before, and knew that after Minerva calms down to the point where she’s not cursing in her favored tongue, she grabs her wand and begins to curse and hex objects… and Rolanda wanted to be far away from her just in case a curse or a hex or two were directed at her.
Albus moved closer to Minerva as she cursed loudly in Gaelic, but Rolanda tore out of the room. As he neared closer, Minerva’s curses slowed down, until they finally stopped when his lips reached hers.
She responded, thinking that if he was kissing her than that must be a good sign, and it was. Albus pulled away from her, smiling.
“In addition to my loving you as well, I also love it when you speak a language I don’t know.”
