Title: Conflicts in Heaven
Summary: Minerva is in heaven and Albus is waiting for his time to join her. When he does go up why can't he find her? Why isn't she there?
Rating: 13+ (I think that's a fair rating)
Disclaimer: Harry Potter character of course do not belong to me. They belong to J.K.Rowling. She's the smart one that's why she came up with them!
I know I should finish my other story but this one popped in my head and I wanted to write this. So I hope you enjoy it!
It was the night of the final battle. The battle that would end all battles and one side will claim victory. And so the greatest wizard and witch were side by side, as they have always have been. Fighting for the future and fighting for themselves.
The blacked hair, emerald eyed witch watched for her cubs and her friends. She always watched out for her secret love, though that he did not know that she loves him very deeply, she would love him forever. As she scanned over the battlefield she saw bodies all over and spells being casted back and forth. But something caught her eye. From her position she saw a group of deatheaters surrounding their master and he was getting ready to cast a spell towards Harry Potter, the saviour of this battle and of the wizarding world (well Minerva knew that in her heart).
The way the Voldemort was casting a spell had caught her attention amongst the cowardly strategy. Minerva having studied many spells and studied ancient spells could reconize almost all of the spells used on the battlefield. But this one spell that Voldemort, at the looks of it was casting, was a anicient spell. Minerva knew then that Harry would not survive this spell and there was no way to stop Voldemort in time so the only way Harry would survive was if she made a her decision quickly.
Minerva looked for Albus Dumbledore to say her goodbyes. She knew she would not survive and that this was the only way. Finding him was not a difficult task. He was the only one on the field who was fighting three at once.
'Bloody show off. If he keeps this up he'll tire himself' Minerva thought.
"Albus I have to...tell you somet...thing" Minerva said as she help fight one of the deatheaters.
"And...what may that be my dear?" Albus asked fighting the other two.
'I'm going to miss him calling me that' Minerva thought, "Albus...I love you and I have for so many years."
Albus was stunned and luckily they had already defeated the three deatheaters or else he might have been dead. When Minerva got no reaction from him she thought she had ruined everything and time was running out. She looked back at Albus seeing no emotion and then to Harry.
"Goodbye, my love" Minerva said quietly.
With that said she ran with all her strength, she saw that the spell had been release and was heading towards it target and this urged Minerva to get to destinations as quick as possible.
Flugged her body to keep it from hitting Harry she had saved him. Albus watched in horror as he watched his love save young Harry but in doing so she was hit by the spell. Quickly getting back to his senses, he ran towards Minerva.
"MINERVA!!!!!!!!" Albus yelled running towards her not caring about anything at the moment.
Some of the members of the Order looked up and watched in despair. They watched him as he picked her up trying to wake, as if she had just fallen asleep. They watched as he rocked her and started to cry.
The Evil Lord Voldemort let out an evil laugh. He watched as his enemy lose another of his loved ones. But what made him more happy was that he lost his beloved uptight wench.
"Well it was her fault you know. If the stupid old hag hadn't stepped in she wouldn't have lost her worthless life, now wouldn't have she? Well at least I don't have to worry about defeating your whore." Voldemort said with a smug smile on his face.
Upon hearing this Albus came into a state of fury and as did Harry. Harry was so angry that Lord Voldemort was feeling it in the same way that Harry would feel his anger. As they got up they started to cast spells furiously. The deatheaters did not have time to react quickly enough. All who surround Voldemort had lost their life and now it was only the Dark Lord left.
Albus and Harry surrounded him and circled him like preditors ready to attack it's prey. And that's what they did, Albus cast one spell to weaken the Dark Lord and Harry to defeat the one who had struck terror into the wizardaring world.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
The battle was over now and the lightside had won. But with a cost, many have lost family and friends and loved ones. Albus had lost a loved one but what made it even more painful was that he didn't get the chance to tell her, that he loves her and always will. And now he is left to a fate where he must wait for his time to come and his time to be with his love forever if she will permit it.
Albus would've taken his own life. If not had Harry convinced him not too, because he knew that Minerva wouldn't have wanted that. But Time will go by and Albus knew that, but he only hoped it would pass quickly.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*2nd Chpt.
Minerva watched from above in heaven, watching all her love ones standing at her grave weeping. She watched Albus trying to be strong for everyone else. But could not help to shed tears. It sadden Minerva's heart to watch everyone she cares about grieve for her. She could no longer watched and she turn away.
But ever since that moment, the moment she turn away from the looking well that showed all, she had not looked back into. When she did look into it she only went to see how her cubs were and how they have grown up and marry and be happy. But she dare not look to see how Albus was, she feared that he would be in another's arms and was not ready to see that yet.
Over the years she started to gather courage to take a look into the well and see of Albus' well being. As she gazed into the well she saw Albus. First thing that she notice is that he has certainly grown older. Second she notices that her heart still races and her stomach suddenly has butterflies fluttering about. But the third thing she noticed she wish she didn't. Albus was holding someone's hand and that someone was a woman, a beautiful woman. She look beautiful, a brunette with blue eyes and she looked to be older than Minerva but only by a bit.
Minerva watched them hug and Albus give her a kiss on the cheek. They were both really happy and Minerva did hoped he would be happy. But she didn't quite prepare for this. Just not yet. Leading Minerva to believe Albus had moved on and was starting to date, well it couldn't completely broke her because she did wish for his happiness. But it sure did cracked her heart.
Minerva still looks into the well but only to check on her cubs. But after checking in with her cubs, well they had grown up but after checking on them her curiousity got the best of her and so she looked into the well to see how Albus was. When she saw him he was him with a baby in his arms, rocking it to sleep. Minerva couldn't say anything, she didn't expect this but it did come as a wee surprise.
Then the baby was given back to the mother. The beautiful brunette with blue eyes. Minerva could no longer watch the moment anymore so she turned away again but this time sweared not to look into the well and when Albus' time comes and he comes to heaven. She would not be insight for them to talk about his child or children and beautiful wife. And he wouldn't ask about her last words to him. She couldn't. It would be just too much. So she would hide from him and try to hide from him for all of eternity.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Albus's time was coming to an end soon. He would finally be with Minerva and tell her. He just hoped that she would still love him even after all this time.

I hope we do get back to school soon but there's a strike going on and this year maybe quite stressful if this strike goes on for a long time. Anyways hope you enjoy this second Part.
And Happy Thanksgiving Monday! *is that right? Only Canada is having it's Thanksgiving now?*
Conflict in Heaven Part 2
Albus's time was coming to an end soon. He would finally be with Minerva and tell her. He just hoped that she would still love him even after all this time. But he knew in his heart that his love for her would never die. And if she loves him like he loves her, then he knew that she will be waiting for him on the other side.
When Albus watched his beloved sacrifice herself to save Harry, he couldn't believe she would be gone forever. He didn't at first, so he ran to her hoping and pray to whatever God there was out there to keep her alive. He picked up her body and cradle it and hope she was just tired or knocked out conscious. When he realized that she was gone he started to cry over his lost. She loved him!!! And he never got the chance to tell her he loved her too. He cried over the time he had wasted and was regretting that he never get to confess his undying love for her, regretting he will never be able to kiss and make love to her or do anything for her.
It was not when he had heard Voldemort speak that he was so full of rage. He hated Voldemort and he was going to pay for what he had done and said. No one speaks ill about Minerva like that in front of Albus Dumbledore! With such vigorous rage he charge anyone who stand between him and his prey. Albus didn't realize that Harry was there beside him helping him fight all the death eaters, until some were falling without him casting any spells. Once they were all dead they went after Voldemort. Albus poured all his anger into the spells he casted at Voldemort, while Harry did them same. In the end they succeeded, Voldemort was gone and left in such a painful way.
When all of Albus's rage and anger was gone, he went back to Minerva and picked her up and held her close.
He whispered very quietly, "I'm so sorry my love. I love you too and I regret not telling you. You won't have to wait too long."
As the days went by everyone was celebrating the fall of the-one-who-was-defeated. While others grieve for their lost. There were many funerals, Minerva's was one of them.
Many people came to her funeral. Most were former students, and some were friends she had made in her lifetime. They were all gathered around her grave watching her body being lowered into the ground. In the very front Albus Dumbledore, best friend, boss, and love of her life, stood there watching his beloved go where he cannot see her.
But before this day he had tried to join her. He couldn't live life without her. He would have succeed if not had Harry had came and stopped him.
Flashback
"ALBUS STOP!!!" Harry yelled.
"Why should I? She's waiting for me. Can't you see that?!" Albus said holding the sword, ready for it to plunge into his heart.
"This isn't the way she would have wanted you to die. You know that. She would have wanted you to live. Live and live happily." Harry said to Albus.
"But I will never live happily. Not without her by my side." Albus replied.
Harry cautiously made his way to Albus.
"She loves you and she wouldn't want this. Please don't do this Albus." Harry gently said as he took away the sword from Albus' hands.
Albus started to sob, "How am I suppose to live without her?! She was always there for me and I tried to be there for her. She's my best friend and the one I have love all my life."
Harry didn't know what quite to say, "Albus, I'm sorry she's gone. I'll miss her but I know for sure that she wouldn't have wanted you to end your life. She'd probably say something about looking after her cubs and the other students. But always remember she is always with us in spirit and in your memories."
Albus could imagine Minerva disapproving his early actions, but he could also imagine her asking him to live. And he knew he would have to try to live. To live for her. Even though she is not there with him in physical form.
Back To Present
When Albus came back to his senses he noticed that everyone had left already and that Minerva's grave stone was the only thing left present. He then knelt beside her tome stone and kissed it.
"I will try my best my love to live. For you and the children. Please wait patiently for me." Albus said before he got up and went back to the castle.
As the years went by, Albus hired a new transfiguration teacher. An old friend of his named Eliza Corvin. She was pretty for her age. Eliza had brunette hair with beautiful blue eyes. And she was well qualified for the position at Hogwarts.
As the carriage pulled into the front doors of Hogwarts. Albus was there waiting for the new Transfiguration professor. Albus opened the door of the carriage and helped Eliza out of the carriage.
"It's wonderful to see you again Eliza!" Albus greeted smiling.
"It's wonderful to see you too, Albus." Eliza said as she hugged Albus.
After they hugged naturally Albus kissed her cheek and lead her into the school.

And I already don't like this Eliza girl one bit. She may be the new transfiguration professor but she's not supposed to take Minerva's place. Thanks for the update and another one would make my day...wink wink!

Conflict in Heaven Part 3
'How can he...no he never told me he loves me. He probably loves me only as just a friend. But still...where am I going to hide?' Minerva thought as she sought out a place to hide.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
'He looks older the last time since I've seen him. But then again it's been over ten or fifteen year or maybe more. My goodness. But still he does look older, it's probably the war.' Eliza thought.
"Hello, my de-. Hello Eliza" Albus said he couldn't bare to call anyone else "my dear" there was only one person he called her that and she's gone.
"Hello, Albus! How are you today?" Eliza asked kindly.
"I am well, and what about you?" Albus asked.
"I am good. Let's go for a walk Albus. It's a wonderful day today." Eliza said as she took Albus by the hand and led him outside.
While Albus allowed himself to be dragged outside. He thought of Minerva and their walks together around Hogwart's grounds. He really missed her and everyone knew this, well except Eliza.
"So Albus how is your life so far?" Eliza asked thinking it was a silly question, but someone has to start a conversation.
"It's been alright, I guess." Albus shrugged.
"Really. Why is that you guess it's alright?" Eliza asked.
"Well, in war there's always casualties and well our side has lost a lot of people." Albus said sadly thinking of Minerva.
"oh." Eliza said.
There was a long period of time of silence until Eliza broke it.
"So do you have a family? I mean it's been so long, we haven't talked in a long time. Or do you have girlfriend or something like that?" Eliza asked curiously.
"No. I don't have a family. I had lover but she's...." Albus said not wanting to finish the sentence.
"She's gone isn't she." Eliza asked regretting her questions.
All Albus could do was nodded. He didn't trust his voice. It was really hard for him to talk about Minerva. When ever he heard her name spoken he'd remember her smiles and laughter and her beauty. But also at night he would have nightmares about her. Going back to the memory when she was killed. Every time he dreamed that dream his heart would break all over again. The good memories of Minerva kept him going and comforted him.
Albus didn't notice he was crying until he was in an comforting embrace by Eliza.
"I'm so sorry Albus. I shouldn't have asked." Eliza said trying to comfort him.
"It's alright, we haven't talk in so long and her death was so recent. It's been hard for me. But I'll be fine." Albus said but also thinking, 'When I reunite with her and tell her I love her.'
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Over the years Eliza and Albus worked side by side and gradually became good friends once again. Eliza had tried to get Albus to talk about Minerva, but found it was hard to get him to talk about her. So instead she talked to other staff members to find more about their relationship.
"Albus and Minerva? They were best of friends. But you know I don't think they could have been best of friends forever." answered Hooch.
"Why is that?" Eliza asked with some hope.
"Well they always had feelings for each other. And I personally think that a woman and a man couldn't really be best friends without being something more." Rolanda replied.
"Well, that's because you always try to get them together." Snape said from sitting near the fire.
"Oh..." was all Eliza said as she slipped into her own musing.
'He really loved her. Or rather he still loves her. How can I ever get him to notice me? I wish he could get over her. But it seems like he isn't. Was their love really that strong? Yet they never really confess their love to each other?' Eliza thought.
"...and you know you could see how deeply they were in love. Yet they couldn't bloody well see it in each other. I guess they were always afraid of being rejected by one another." Roland said with a sigh.
"Yeah, but they should have known that even with such an age gap that they had. It wouldn't have mattered at all!" Poppy said as she now joined in to conversation.
"Without Minerva, Albus will never be the same again." Severus said while others nodded their head in agreement.
Eliza went back to her thoughts and mindlessly walked the halls of Hogwarts. Before she knew it she was at the Gargoyle that guarded the Headmaster's office. Giving the password Eliza went up to talk to Albus' office. Upon entering his office she found that no one was there, save Fawkes. Calling out his name she received no answer.
So then she went to the door connecting Albus' office to his chambers. Eliza knocked on his door but found no answer once again. She then gave the password for his chambers and found it as the same as his office. Empty. Calling out his name again she heard sobbing coming from Albus' room.
Slowly she went to his bedroom and found it open and that Albus was curled up in a ball crying. It pained Eliza to see him like this. She quickly went to him and tried to console him until he fell as sleep. Then she noticed that he was holding something. She tried to gently take it away but Albus just held it more tightly, it seemed to be a picture.
Later when Albus awoke he found that Eliza was there stroking his hair.
"Hi. How are you feeling now Albus?" Eliza asked is a gently voice.
"I'm fine. I'm sorry you had to see that." Albus said embarrassed.
"Don't be. What's that picture your holding?" Eliza asked pointing to the picture Albus was holding.
"It's a picture of Minerva, at a picnic. She at first didn't want to go, but I persuade her to go. She was laugh, smiled, and was so happy. Just the way that I want to remember her and the way she wanted me to remember her." Albus said is hoarsely voice, giving a sad smile.
"I'm so sorry she died. She meant a lot to you didn't she?" Eliza asked still stroking his hair.
"She still does." Albus said quietly.
Upon hearing this Eliza knew she would have no chance of every getting noticed by Albus. There was only one person that he would ever noticed and that person is gone.

Conflict in Heaven Part 4
Five years had pasted since the final war. Five years that have kept Albus away from his beloved, but not for long. He lay on his death bed waiting for his final breath. Waiting for his time to leave this Earth and finally proclaim his undying love to Minerva. After making his will a year ago, his friends came to visit him. He was getting older and sick over the years.
Though they were sad to lose him, they were glad he was going home. They knew where his heart was and were just happy he would be able to live again. With tears in their eyes and sobs within their hearts they cried as he pasted away. He left the world saying this:
"I will miss you all very much. But do not cry for I am not sad to leave. Just sad that I will be leaving everyone behind. But I won't be alone, I will be happy once again. Harry you are the grandson I never had. And I am proud of you. I'm proud of all of you."
All that was needed to be said was said. Nothing was left unfinished, all except one thing that could only be finished in Heaven.
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Death was not what Albus thought it would be like. I was nice and peaceful, but then again he died in his sleep so maybe that had had to do something with it. Heaven was what he thought it would be like. It was not bright but there was light that seemed to fill the whole place. It wasn't a place above the clouds and that you were just living on it. No, it was a bit like Earth but not like a muggle city or a wizard city. It was fulled with green and luscious plants and trees. The sky was blue and clear. It was beautiful. But it was not quite the heaven Albus wanted. It was just missing one thing.
'Where is she?'
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
'He won't find me here. I hope he won't. I don't think I could ever face him.' Minerva thought as she hid, 'Merlin! It's so hot here, but I knew it would be so I shouldn't be complaining.'
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
"Where is she?!?! Could she be alive?! No, I saw her being buried. But where is she, wasn't she expecting me?" Albus thought out loud.
Albus had talked to many people and found that Minerva is indeed here but no one knows where. They said that five months ago she seemed to disappear and no one has seen her since. And Albus talked to everyone he could find. But he just couldn't find her.
'Why can't I find her?'
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
'I wonder if I would be able to see him from up here...But how am I suppose to see him??' Minerva thought.
She saw Albus asking various of people where she was. She knew he probably misses her and wants to tell her all that had happened to him and about he and the blue eyed brunet. She hoped that, that woman made Albus very happy. But of course she didn't really want to find out she just hoped. Minerva in the mean time hid and prepared herself for the worse and the heartbreak. But how can you prepare yourself for a heartbreak?
'I don't think you can'
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
'Five years, two weeks, and too many hours to count. I have finally gone to heaven and now I can't find her.' Albus thought and then thought out loud, "WHERE IS SHE?!?!?!"
"I'm right here"

Albus couldn't believe his eyes or ears. He thought he was hallucinating. But couldn't help to feel the butterflies once again fluttering within his stomach. 'She's here, she's here, She's really here' were the words that kept replaying in him mind yet he couldn't grasp the idea of her really being there. It's been so long since she last saw her, since he last heard her voice, since he last smelled her unique sent. As he turned around slowly seeing her caused him to be in such a disbelief state.
"Minerva? Is that really you?" Albus asked quietly.
"Yes, it's really me." Minerva answered just staring at Albus with sad eyes.
As if coming out of a trance, Albus ran up to Minerva and picked her up and swirled her around.
"Albus put me down!!" Minerva shrieked.
As doing as he was commanded Albus put Minerva down but only to pull her into a tight embrace.
"I've missed you so much Minerva! You can't believe how much I have missed you." Albus confessed.
'He just missed his best friend that's all. But I've missed him too, so much...' Minerva assured herself.
"I've missed you too Albus," Minerva smiled but there was still sadness in her eyes.
Albus pulled back to look at her. Something wasn't right, he could feel it. And there he saw it in her eyes. He saw the sadness and the sorrow but just couldn't understand why.
"Minerva, my dear, why are you sad? Has something happened?" Albus asked really worried now.
'Yes, you can say that. Why am I sad? Because of you.' Minerva thought, she knew she couldn't say those words out loud. So she didn't answer.
'What if she's found someone else?! Why haven't I thought that? Or maybe she didn't really love me and now has to tell me that she didn't mean it. Maybe she's regretting saying that she loves or loved me.' These thoughts went thought Albus' mind as silence came as an answer. Breaking his heart slowly and painfully.
Tears started to fill Minerva's eyes. She couldn't control them even though she tried very hard to blink them away. Albus saw them and on instincts he held her closer to him.
"Minerva, please talk to me. What's wrong?" Albus was pleading. It hurt him a lot to see her in any pain.
"Albus..." Minerva trailed off, she didn't know what to say exactly, she was trapped in his embrace and could not run anywhere, "Albus, why are you here? I'm mean here with me?"
To be truthful Minerva was happy that Albus here but...it hurt.
"To be with you Minerva. Forever and all eternity. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else." Albus said with such sincerity and love in his eyes.
But Minerva didn't look up. Though his words were going through her mind replaying them, giving her hope each time they were replayed. But then he lifted her chin and she saw his eyes. They were filled with love and it was love for her.
"Albus are you, do you love me?"
"I love you very much. Minerva I just wished I told you sooner. I wish I didn't have to wait five years for my death to tell you that I love you with all my heart. I have to say I'm sorry for that. You are my light for so many years. And when you..." Albus still couldn't come to say that she died. He just was so emotional about that.
Minerva then looked up into his watery blue eyes and saw how sad and hurt he was when she died. When she looked into his eyes everything seem to become clear. There relationship was like that. They would look into each other's eyes and new if one was telling the truth or read each other's emotion. (A/N: Though you couldn't say it was that good because well.....there wouldn't be a story. Anyways)
'Maybe I was wrong. Maybe he does love me. And that I could have miss seen the scene I saw. There's a reason why I don't like Divinations! Stupid crystal ball.' Minerva cursed herself and divinations for ever thinking Albus didn't love her.
Minerva brought her arms around Albus' neck and held him close to her.
"Albus, it's okay love I'm here. I'm here with you and that's all that matters right now." Minerva comforted him.
"I'm sorry my dear, it's just when you...-"
"Died" Minerva said the word for him.
Albus nodded,"When you were gone, I just felt so lost. It seemed like I was lost for so long. Now that I'm with you, I don't feel so lost. I feel quite complete and happy."
"So do I love. I'm so glad were together now. I just wish we were together sooner. You know I've loved you since...well since I can remember." Minerva confessed.
"Oh Minerva, we've been so foolish. I've loved you for a every long time too." Albus also confessed.
Minerva shook her head but non the less smiled and inched closer towards Albus while Albus inched closer until they were in a locked in a loving kiss that seem to last for ever. But they did have forever to kiss, but it was broken. And they stayed in each other's embrace.
"Minerva." Albus said her name.
"Hmm.." Minerva enjoying where she was.
"Minerva, why didn't you come to me or rather why couldn't I find you? You were hiding weren't you? But why?" Albus asked looking down at her.
Minerva sighed, "Come Albus, I want to show you something."
So Minerva brought Albus to the well room.
"What is this my love?" Albus asked.
"This is the wishing well. Well sort of. If you wanted to see those who you've left behind this is the place where you can see them and watch them. The down part to this is that there's no sound it's just an image of the present. It only shows the present. It's kind of like a crystal ball." Minerva said with a bit of a un lady like snort.
"Oh. As this may be interesting but what does this have to do with you hiding from me?" Albus asked sort of hurt.
So then Minerva told Albus about what she saw and how she was mistaken and how foolish she was believing in what she saw.
"I'm sorry Albus. I wanted to be with you but I've been hurting for a long while until now. I though you moved on. And I didn't really want to be in your way or be embarrassed also seeing you well hurted a bit." Minerva said looking down in shame.
Albus brought her chin up and looked into her eyes and saw unshed tears.
"My love, I understand. There's no need to be sorry. I never got to tell you I love you with all my heart. And you couldn't have known. I'm the one to be sorry. I love you." Albus said as he gathered her in his arms.
"I love you too Albus" Minerva said as she went on her tippy toes and kissed his.
And he returned her kissed passionately. And that how they stayed for a very long time. They never had to be apart from each other. Not ever for eternity. And there now they could really call heaven, heaven without the conflict.
