Title: Time of Your Life
Summary: This is Minerva McGonagall's story. Her beginning, middle and end. Her hardships and heartache. The tale untold, of scandal, death and love. This is her story told by her, no one else. The truth is finally out.
Rating: 13+, for later chapters.
A/N: Hiya. I'm sorta new. I've been inactive for a long while. Anyway... this is a project of mine. Minerva McGonagall's personal memoir. Has anyone else done this? I know people did Dumbledore...
I've already planned out the first ten or so chapters. Just have to write them. C&C would be very much appreciated. I really would like to know what people like and hate about this.
Also, what is the diffrence of a memoir and an autobiography? I might need to change some things depending on the answer...

Prologue
December, 2006
To; whoever may find this.
From; a deceased Minerva Mallan McGonagall-Dumbledore
Contains; Last Will and Testament and my personal memoir
If you read this, I am dead.
No joke.
It could have been because of many reasons, one of the assassination attempts actually succeed, one of Voldemort’s remaining little henchmen killed me, or Albus had me overdosed on lemon drops.
The last bit was a joke.
Or it may have been because I am old and in poor health. After Dolores Umbridge and her lot shot four stunners into my chest, all those years ago… I really never gained back all my energy. After the Final Battle, when everyone was in the Hospital Wing taking account of the wounded and dead I had a heart attack, Poppy said it was from the stress of the Battle.
I will admit, I never was myself after that moment.
Enclosed in the green folder is my will. It is short, and to the point. I hope whoever finds this will honor my wishes.
In the leather book is my personal memoir. I wrote it for one reason, to show the truth in the darkness of the lies. I already have a publisher, Hermione Granger-Weasley. She agreed to publish it after I died. Please pass the book onto her, as indicated in my will as well.
I will not say this is a goodbye, just a ‘see you later’ predicament.
And now, onto the next great adventure.

A small room was illuminated by a single candle. The only thing visible was the long shadow of a woman. She had curly brown hair, streaked with a light gray. Her eyes were red rimmed, as though she had and tears threaten to fall.
Hermione Weasley sniffed loudly and hugged a worn black leather book to her chest. Tears fell freely down her face as she then placed the book down on the top of her ‘To Publish’ pile. She ran her fingers gently over the cover before sighing and whispering, “Nox.”
Then, as she was about to close the door to her office, she said something. Hermione didn't turn around but said her own farewell to her mentor, friend and teacher.
“I hope you had the best bloody time of your life Professor.”
She gave a wry smiled through her tears.
She left the now dark room.
Engraved on the cover of that worn black journal were the following words:

Last Will and Testament of Minerva Mallan McGonagall-Dumbledore
Written on September 25, 2004
I leave all my money and belongings to my family to distribute evenly, except what I leave with my friends.
I wish to be buried in the way of the McGonagall Clan, on Dumbledore land.
Bury me with my wand and sword.
Burn all records of my past, if I have not yet done so, except for my memoir.
I say my goodbyes to everyone.
My four sons, Achilles, Ares, Apollo and Adonis.
My two daughters, Athena and Artemis.
My grandchildren and nephews.
My husband, Albus Dumbledore.
My Clan.
My dear friends;
Rolanda Hooch-McGonagall- I leave you all my Quidditch supplies.
Poppy Pomfrey-Moody- I leave you my mothers’ medical books.
Alastor Moody- I leave you my old Auror things.
Ponama Sprout-Pomfrey- I leave you all my plants. Those dead and alive.
Garret Pomfrey- I leave you my entire collection of Austen books.
Hermione Granger-Weasley- I leave you my memoir and the photos with it. And those books you are so fond of.
Ron Weasley- I leave you my Chudley Cannon things.
Harry Potter- I leave you all your Fathers detention slips and your Mothers awards.
Ginny Weasley-Potter- I leave you my cats and dogs. My horse if you wish.
Remus Lupin- I leave you a portrait of your graduating class.
Nympadora Tonks-Lupin- I leave you Sirius’ detention slips, as well as your own.
Filius Flitwick- I leave you my Fathers’ charm texts.
Hagrid- I leave you my family Gryffin, Gray. Don't let him roam on the school grounds.
Severus Snape- I leave you my blessings.
Goodbye, or see you soon.
Whichever you prefer.
