How about this one for a plot bunny (I know it's kind of depressing):

What if Minerva did not turn up at Albus' funeral alone but with a toddler on her arm, a five-year old holding her hand and her eyes hidden behind dark muggle sunglasses?

The wizarding world would be in for a shock ...

What if Albus had been pleading with Severus - only he had been pleading for him to look after Minerva and the kids since he already knew he was dying from the ordeal in the cave?

Severus would be faced with the challenge of a lifetime ...

Please adopt my bunny - anyone...

P.S.: I know that according to canon Minerva might be a bit too old to have such small children, but there are enough people here on the board who apparently don't see her age as a problem. And besides: it's a world of magic!

P.P.S.: I firmly believe that Severus is still a good guy!

It would certainly be interesting, but I wouldn't know where to take it and I'm feeling too guilty for writing angst to try it.
