Now, I can imagine what several people are thinking when they saw the link for this thread. Something along the lines of a wedding anniversary, the anniversary of when our dear couple met, etc. Alas, I had something a little different in mind... The Anniversary of Grindelwald's Defeat[/u] Now, we can see from OotP that Albus can identify with Harry on the matter of the prophecy that states only he can kill Voldemort. After all, Albus himself is famous for his defeat of Grindelwald. But what influence does that battle have on him, especially as the years pass? And what role would Minerva play in that or in combating it? Or, what are Minerva's reactions to the war with Grindelwald? From what we know of her age, we can guess that she might very well have taken part in that war. What are her thoughts and memories of those days and how does Albus fit in with them? There are three choices in this challenge: - The One-Year Anniversary
- An Anniversary During Voldemort's First Rise
- The Anniversary During Order of the Phoenix
The story can be from either Minerva or Albus' point of view and, of course, should focus on them as much as possible. Still, it would not be amiss if the current happenings in the world - i.e. Dealing with the aftermath of the war, thoughts of Tom Riddle, and the chaos engulfing Hogwarts during the reign of She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named - were also included in there as well. Happy writing! AQ
