Hello, my dear loves! I just got back from seeing OotP (loved it) and I noticed something. When Minnie Mickey G escorts Trelawney (dear duck) back to her homie tower place, they walk past my loverly Bumblebee (who needs no introduction). And Trelawney (dear duck), is all psycho and grabby all over him, and Minnie Mickey G is like "Ok, get off mah man," and pries her off of him, and then... AND SHE TOUCHES HIS SLEEVE! With two fingers. Yep. It's a darling little delicate brush, and then his hand sort of flicks back, as if he were going to touch her back and then thinks better of it. Subconsciously. Um-hum. ~~ So yah. That’s my ADMM moment shareage of the day. Live long and prosper. \\//_ ^__^

YES! I knew I wasn't imagining things! Wasn't it precious? On the flip side, Min wasn't even IN the most secksay awesome scene in the history of ever. Which lasted five seconds, also.

Noo, you're not crazy at all. I definitely saw it. For a moment, I thought I might have been imagining it, but I don't think I was. ;D I was squealing silently to myself when I saw that part. I can't wait for the DVD!

OK OK I think I have it figured out, I have been out to see it for thr 4th time (yay!) and she does reach for Trelawney's hand (which is reaching for Albus in gratitude) and Albus grabs her hand, and places it back into McGonagalls...thats what I saw! As for the finger swipping arm-material...quite possibly, if it did happen is was .5 seconds....and I missed it! Oh well...must go see it again I suppose....darn!

I saw it too. I remember watching it and thinking 'please touch hands, please touch hands!'. I think that there was some definite touching of something. I thought that he put Trelawney's hands out of his quickly. Did anyone notice McGonagall's look though when she went to take Trelawney upstairs. I thought it was quite expressive of something. It was sympathy and a sort of general understanding there. See if anyone else saw it?

I'm dragging my two best friends to see it with me again (Obsessed? Moi? Pshaw!) so I'm gonna keep an eye out for this. Plus, I'm gonna see it at the IMAX, so I think it will be big enough for me to get a closer look. Ya know... Not that I'm obsessed or anything. Really. I'm not.
Thanks for the heads up, btw!

On www.youtube.com there is a video called 'Harry Potter 5 Clip' by mirre940212 and it shows exactly that scene! You can stop it at the very moment Minerva is touching Albus' sleeve! Looks to me as if she wants to say 'Thank you, my dear.' But I don't like the way Albus tells Minerva to accompany Trelawney back up into her rooms........Way too demanding........ Anyway.... ..HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MINERVA !!!!!!!!

Yay for sleeve touching! Boo for Gambon as Dumbledore. I thought he didn't annoy me as much in OoTP but I think I was wrong....I know he's *supposed* to come across as a bit of a jerk in 5, at least through Harry's eyes, and I'm sure Delores had his ire raised most hours of the day, but still.....that man in that scene is not the Dumbledore Jo wrote, IMHO.

NO STUNNER SCENE?!!! Are the script writers on something?!!! How could they take one of the best Minerva moments in the entire series and just completely not include it?! Maggie Smith would have done it so well too! When they make the seventh movie, I bet they won't include Harry defending her from the Carrows, her fight with Snape, or the "charge!" scene with the desks. It's horrible. Just like with Dumbledore, they take one of the strongest, most fascinating characters in the book and totally ruin them in the movies. I might not even buy the DVD, even though there is the sleave touching scene. Arrrg!!!
Sorry for ranting like that, but I was really counting on the stunner scene being in the deleted scenes and now that it's not...
*goes to stalk script writers until they admit they made a grievious error and shoot the scene just for us*
God bless Dame Maggie Smith for working with the little she got.

Guess what the list for deleted OOTP scenes is out and McGonagall's stunning scene is not there! where'd you read this? I haven't heard that anywhere, and it's not on mugglenet, leaky or the lexicon...and yeah I know I'm a dork for going and checking them all for this, and there is nothing on amazon.

I never liked Gambon, but now I REALLY hate him! A guy in my class said Dumbledore's gay. Most people were amused. I wasn't. HE ISN"T GAY. It's all Michel Gambon's fault. He plays Dumbledore gay, I don't care if the actor's gay or not, it shouldn't show in the caracter. Nobody thought Dumbledore was gay when he was played by Richard Harris, may he rest in peace.

But Dumbledore is gay. JKR said so in an interview.
