Albus Dumbledore rolled over in bed to snuggle with his wife Minerva and gave her a passionate good morning kiss.
“Mmm. Good morning to you too, darling.” Said Minerva as she returned the kiss.
Just as the kiss began to intensify to the next level, a baby’s cry was heard from the nearby room. Minerva broke the kiss.
“We just can never get a moment’s peace, can we?”
Albus sighed. “I believe that falls into the job description of new parents, love”
“Let’s go. Circe and Ares are probably hungry.” Minerva and Albus got up from the bed to check on their children.
Two months ago, Albus and Minerva were given the greatest gifts they could ever receive. A beautiful baby girl named Circe and a bouncing baby boy named Ares. While they loved their new roles as parents, it seemed as though they could never get a moment alone together.
“Albus, we’re almost out of baby wipes so we’ll have to get more the next time we’re in Hogsmeade. We should get something for Ares’s rash too. It’s getting worse.” Said Minerva as she finished changing Ares’ diaper.
“Minerva, could you give me a hand here? I’m a bit tangled right now.” Albus said as he walked out of Circe’s room.
Minerva burst out laughing at the sight before her. Albus was carrying Circe on his left arm and feeding her through a bottle with his right hand, wincing while Circe held a chunk of his beard tightly in her right hand.
“It’s not funny, Minerva. I think she dislocated my jaw.”
Minerva continued to giggle as she waved her wand, releasing Albus’s beard from Circe’s grip.
“Thanks Darling.”
Minerva was about to give him a kiss when they heard knocking at the door. They both sighed and rolled their eyes.
“Come in!” they both called out.
The portrait swung open and Severus, Alastor, Rolanda, and Sibyll walked right in.
“Well, well, well. So it is true. New parents look 20 years older.” Smirked Severus
“Ha ha, very funny Severus.” Said Minerva as she and Albus greeted their visitors.
“Aww. Ares, you’ve gotten so big. You’re definitely going to be a ladies man. And look at you Circe. Oh you’ve gotten more beautiful since the last time I saw you. Oh, you are definitely going to be a heartbreaker.” Said Rolanda as she tickled Ares’s check and got Circe from Albus.
“Yes, it is a pity that she’s going to die a painful death.” said Sibyll sadly as she looked down at Circe. Circe began to whimper as Sibyll came near her.
Moody struggled to hold back Minerva from strangling Sibyll from the comment made about her daughter.
“So have you guys been holding up? You guys look exhausted.” Asked Rolanda as she sat down on the couch and bounced Circe on her lap.
“We are. It seems that every time we get a moment to ourselves, one of our kittens start crying.” Said Minerva as she rocked a crying Ares to sleep.
“We could take them for a night.” Offered Rolanda.
“We could?” asked Sibyll, Moody, and Severus at the same time.
“Yes, we could! After all, you and Albus need a break, Min.”
“I don’t know-“began Minerva
“Would you? That would be very generous of you!” said Albus as he hugged the 4 other people.
“Albus, could I see you in the kitchen for a moment?” asked Minerva as she handed Ares to Severus, who picked him up and held him awkwardly.
“Of course dear.” Said Albus as he followed his wife into the kitchen.
Once the door was closed, Minerva began to voice her opinions. “Albus, I don’t think our children should be alone with Alastor, Rolanda, Severus, and Sibyll. Especially the later of the 4.”
“Minerva, I don’t understand why you’re so upset about this. They’ve volunteered to take Circe and Ares for the night. We’ll finally have a night alone together.”
“Albus I just don’t think a former deatheater, a paranoid auror, a fraud, and a flying instructor are capable of taking care of two twin infants.”
“Minerva, you thought the same thing about us 2 months ago but look at us now. We’re naturals at being parents. Please, Minerva. I just want to spend one night with you. No interruptions.”
“We promise we’ll take good care of them!” Rolanda’s voice called out from the living room
“Rolanda, have you been listening all this time?” asked Minerva as she rolled her eyes.
“Um, no.” said Rolanda.
“Liar.” Said Severus. A loud smack could be heard from the living room. “Ow! What was that for?” yelped Severus.
Minerva sighed. Clearly she was outnumbered. “Oh alright.” She gasped as everyone pulled her into an enormous hug. Well, everyone else except Severus.

“ Alright so here’s a list of the places we’ll be going to. Now if anything goes wrong don’t hesitate to floo us. Are you sure you’ll be able to handle all this?” asked Minerva worriedly.
“Min, don’t worry about anything. We’ll be just fine. Now go have a good time with your husband.” Said Rolanda as she handed Minerva her clock.
“Well, I suppose that’s just about everything. Thank you so much for doing this.” Said Albus.
“It’s no trouble Albus. Anyway, I suppose I owe you after that Kensington fiasco 20 years ago.”
“Alright, good bye my darlings. Mummy and Daddy love you.” Said Minerva as she and Albus kissed their babies goodbye.
“Have fun in Spain!” said the 4 babysitters as they watched Minerva and Albus walk through the fireplace.
“Well, what do we do now?” asked Moody.
“I could tell their future.” Suggested Sibyll.
“Sibyll, I don’t think Minerva would appreciate you telling the twins their painful deaths.” Said Moody.
“Oh, what Minerva doesn’t know can’t hurt her.” Said Sibyll as she picked up Circe and held her up high to look at her sapphire eyes.
“Oh dear. It looks as though this one’s going to drown. Yes, those born during the September autumn are doomed to die painful deaths. The inner eye sees everything.”
“Sibyll, these babies were born on December.,” said Rolanda slowly.
Almost as though she could understand what was being said, Circe spit up all over Sibyll’s face. Moody and Rolanda roared with laughter, while the corners of Severus’s mouth twitched.
“ So why exactly didn’t the inner eye see that one coming?” asked Moody between bits of laughter.
Sibyll handed the now giggling Circe over to Rolanda and wiped her gigantic spectacles off on her shawl.
“Oh shut up, mad eye. If you must know, the inner eye doesn’t see in command.”
“Well, I hope the inner eye can see how difficult the night’s going to be.” Said Rolanda as the twins began to cry.
The other 3 nodded their agreement as they tried to calm down the two babies.
Meanwhile, Minerva and Albus were thoroughly enjoying their time together, wondering how things were going for their 4 friends and the twins. Well, their 3 friends and Sibyll.
“Mmm. Good morning to you too, darling.” Said Minerva as she returned the kiss.
