Well...I have never responded to a challege before, but I put this down to being completed bladdered and not wanting to go to bed. I can bearly see in a straight line, so I expect I shall be horribly embarrassed when I look back at this tomorrow...
It's been floating around vaguely in my mind ever since book six. I think I kind of addressed the Molly/Arthur requirement...slightly. I hate James Blunt with a passion, so I picked the most straight forward line, the easiest, of course.
Don't own anything, it's all pinched, none of it is original, I have a serious lack of imagination!
Nothing else…
“Will you come, Albus?”
“I will wait here a little longer, if you do not mind.”
With this dismissal, the boat departed from the shore once more, leaving one soul behind as usual. Albus did not look back, but stared ahead, unconcerned and wholly at ease. His eyes turned back to the scene before him and he remained, as he had for many, many years.
Friends passed by and on. He greeted them all cordially and wished them well on their way. Arthur Weasley hailed him, stopping only to exchange a few words.
“Will you wait with me?” Albus asked.
“We have always found one another.” Arthur replied enigmatically, stepping into the boat with a smile and taking the seat meant for him. He motioned to the seat next to him.
“Won’t you come, Albus?” Arthur asked.
“Just a little longer.” Came the reply, and his friend disappeared into the mist as the boat sailed on, one seat empty, as usual.
Time passed as days, as minutes, as seconds and Albus watched, as always.
At last, she came, reaching for his outstretched hand.
“Albus!” she exclaimed, surprised to see him. Albus smiled and took her hand.
“I have waited for you, Minerva.”
“So I see!” she replied with a smile he had never seen before.
“Shall we go on together, my dear?” He asked.
“Albus, there is nothing else in this world…”
